Story
Nala is a purebred akita. She has been rehomed now 4 times now so i’m trying to find her a forever home. She’s very sweet and has tons of energy. Would prefer her to move into a home with a backyard, but has been an apartment dog so if needed. She may do better either being an only dog or in a home with a younger dog than her. She comes with a crate, her bowl, some toys, and her leash.

Sammy IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-25-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Sammy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22667&name=SammySammy was found wandering alone, wearing a black harness attached to a white leash. People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number of #A1818905, and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one has responded. This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love to be able to let him adjust inside a wonderful foster (or adoptive) home. Right now, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best as the only dog.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.April 25, 2024, 5:54 am

Story
Petey is a fun-loving boy who is great with every person he has met, young and old. He might be okay around other dogs, but he's selective. He walks well on leash, until he sees a rabbit, squirrel or cat, but he would easily adjust to a no-pull harness. He loves to get belly rubs!

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Dorian! Dorian is looking for his forever home!! He's the silliest Akita Inu mix, and he's as loyal and loving as they come. He is extremely handsome and the sweetest, most easy going guy. Dorian is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several commands. He can be nervous around strangers, but once he knows you, he loves you for life! Dorian is dog friendly, and he is an absolute goofball when he plays. Dorian loves to go for walks (cue the happy hops) and crash for a nap next to his person. He would be fantastic with a person with Akita experience or someone who understands/has researched the breed. Dorian is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and currently on flea tick and heartworm medication. Overall. he's in good health, and we believe he is around 6-7 years old and weighs 80 lbs. We recently did his DNA test with Embark, and he is an Akita Inu, American Akita, Pittie mix. Dorian is available through Grandma Betty's Animal Rescue. If you are interested in meeting this special boy, you may: - Contact his foster mom Megan at (858) 699-4219 - Email the rescue at adoptions@grandmabettysanimalrescue.com - Or fill out an adoption application on their website: grandmabettysanimalrescue.com *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Bulma is a trained dog who is extremely loyal to her people and protective. She loves affection and enjoys going on outings. She is currently with trainers who take her on pack walks and restaurants. Due to her breed she does need consistency and exercise. Her ideal home would be someone who is willing to train along with her to learn all that she knows.April 25, 2024, 5:29 pm

Story
This gorgeous girl is Macky! Macky is a 3Y 9M age Huky/Shepherd Mix who weighs around 50 lbs. She is sweet and calm and needs a loving home after a bad life. She currently lives well with other dogs. She was found after being hit by a car (March 2022). That experience gave her confidence issues but she is doing everything she can to get back to being a happy dog. She is not aggressive at all, just keeps her distance when she first meets you. She is leash trained and is working on her potty training. She would love to have a place with a yard and a cozy dog bed. Macky is vaccinated, spayed and dewormed.
