Story
Simba has spent too long waiting for his forever family. 💔 This strong and spirited Akita-Husky mix is full of energy, loves his toys, and is happiest on long walks or playing with his human. He’s sweet, loyal, and ready for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog with personality and heart, Simba is waiting to meet you! 🐕 Adopt Simba: https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 Full profile: Simba is a 6-8-year-old Akita-Husky mix with the personality of an Akita and the heart of a lion. He’s playful, sweet, and full of energy but needs a confident and strong adopter who understands his needs. 💪 Strength & Training: Simba is powerful and can pull when excited, so he needs someone physically capable of managing his strength. He’s learning commands like sit, down, paw, and “potty” and thrives with structure. A harness might help with his pulling. 🐾 Energy & Personality: Simba is not always a couch potato! He loves long walks (2+ miles is no problem), playing with his toys, and getting plenty of attention. He’s affectionate and cuddly but always ready for adventure. 🏡 Home Needs: Simba would do best in a home without small children due to his strength and energy. He’s good with other dogs, especially more timid ones, but does best with boundaries around toys and space. He’s also quite the counter-surfer, so keeping things out of reach is key! 🐕 Health: Simba has a thyroid condition that is managed with treatment, giving him renewed energy and playfulness. Simba has had a lot of love and care from his foster, but he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a strong, loyal, and playful companion, Simba could be your perfect match. 💙 Ready to meet Simba? Apply to adopt him and give this big-hearted boy the home he deserves. 📌 Share to help Simba find his forever home Currently being cared in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.

Story
Nala is a purebred akita. She has been rehomed now 4 times now so i’m trying to find her a forever home. She’s very sweet and has tons of energy. Would prefer her to move into a home with a backyard, but has been an apartment dog so if needed. She may do better either being an only dog or in a home with a younger dog than her. She comes with a crate, her bowl, some toys, and her leash.

Story
Meet CeCe! After both of 14-year-old CeCe's owners passed away, their dear friend & neighbor took care of her in their home before it was sold. Her caregiver grew increasing worried about being able to find a loving new home for CeCe in time. He then heard about our Final Wish Program and entrusted CeCe to our care. Here is what he shared about her: * Very calm when meeting people * Good with children - friendly and accepting of pets * House-trained; accustomed to having access to yard through doggie door * Enjoys walks around the neighborhood - watch videos to see how nicely she walks on leash! * Well-behaved when home alone * Accepts food and treats gently * Likes being brushed Beautiful CeCe went on a two-week Frosted Fling with a volunteer and her family. As the fling came to end, she shared: "We’re down to our last few days with this beautiful girl, CeCe, and my heart is already breaking. She’s starting to show her true, silly side, and I can’t help but adore every moment of it. She’s been a joy to have around, and I’m just hoping someone sees her for the incredible companion she is before we part ways. CeCe has a gentle, loving nature, and recently, I’ve witnessed her start to play with our grey kitty. The other day, she actually rolled over onto her back in pure happiness after a little chat with the cat—her mouth making that joyful sound she does when she's feeling good. It was a sight to see! CeCe also has a special place in her heart for kids. There’s a pair of little ones she’s met at the park a few times, and they just adore her. The moment they approach, she greets them with warmth, allowing them to hug her without a care in the world. It’s clear that her love for people knows no bounds. And her eyes… those big, soulful eyes that can melt anyone’s heart, no matter what you’re doing. CeCe is pure magic, and I know she’s going to be an incredible addition to any family. Please, if you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful dog, CeCe is your girl. Adopt her today, and let CeCe light up your life!" CeCe is currently on a second Fling enjoying the comforts of a home while she waits for her forever family. Might that be you? Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet her!

Story
Lilo and Odin were found wandering the streets in our neighborhood, and we did not want them to get hurt, so we managed to bring them to safety. We took them to the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility, where we discovered they were microchipped. We were thrilled to reunite them with their family, but unfortunately, when we tried to return them, their family said they could not take them back due to health issues plus their father having cancer & an autistic child. Since we already have dogs, we can not keep them, but if we did not have pups we would keep them in a heartbeat. After having them for a few days we took them to the shelter, but when we got there, we were told it’s unlikely they’d be adopted together. Knowing how strong their bond is, we could not bear to separate them. After much consideration, we have decided to try rehoming them ourselves, looking for someone who is ready and able to give both a loving home. Apply now! Applications now being reviewed.

Story
Kito reminds us of those popular dog toys, the Squishmallow's. No one told him he was an Akita and is supposed to be stoic, protective and scary. He is ALL wiggles, smiles and LOVES his volunteers and rescue teams. The world outside is still kind of scary but with each event hes getting better and better. Before he would frantically spin the entire walk, but now he will patiantly sit on the grass at our Point Loma event or on a Pack Walk. True to any large dog, he doesn't know hes massive and anyone sitting on the grass is bound to have a Kito as a lap warmer. He loves hugs, brushes and being told how darn good looking he is. He is quite large, so he will need someone strong and well grounded to walk him in the event something spooks him unexpectedly. Although he's never met a person he didn't like, due to size, we are saying no kids under the age of 15, he's just WAY too goofy and tall. Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  No off leash activites for life in unfenced areas.  I need to stay safe.To adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/37765/genericTo foster: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/37764/genericEmail: awayhomefordogs@gmail.com ##1305366##

Story
Husky mix Neutered Male 5 years old 67 pounds Roscoe is a beloved 5 year old male husky mix. He belonged to my father in a pack of 5 huskies. My father passed away on 8/8/23 and I’ve been keeping his huskies for him. I have adopted out four of the huskies, with Roscoe being the last of the group. He’s been living with me since my father’s passing. With a heavy heart, I know it’s time to move Roscoe on to a family that can care for him the way that he deserves. Roscoe is a blend of malamute calmness and the infamous husky energy. He’s a workhorse, we like to walk him with a backpack on so he can fulfill his desire to work every day. He’s a friendly dog who likes to jump on people. He is a good sport for baths and I’m able to bathe him weekly. He’s very quiet. I’ve never heard him bark and have only seen him howl when my other husky starts a howl. Roscoe is non-confrontational with other dogs and is not dominant at all. He occasionally gets into arguments with my other husky but will always try to diffuse the situation. He likes to chill on the coach when we aren’t out walking. He’s not formally trained but he hasn’t had any accidents indoors and he knows his ‘sit’ command. He also learns very quickly, I taught him ‘go crate’ in a matter of days and he always listens to it now. He loves to be in his crate as well and will relax in it even if the door is open. He respects the baby gates I keep in the house since I have to protect my cat from the two huskies. He has so much love to give to someone who is up for training a loyal, friendly and gentle giant of 67 pounds and endless ounces of love to give. If you are interested in adopting Roscoe, please contact Amber @siamjetlove@gmail.com *PLEASE NOTE: This animal is listed as a courtesy for another organization or private party.
