Story
Keyoko is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She had been living a good life until her owner died and she - and her buddy Zeus - suddenly found themselves at the shelter with nowhere to go. One of our wonderful fosters has agreed to take both of them in until we can find their new forever homes. In addition, a kind supporter has sponsored part of her adoption fee to help her get settled soon. At 8yrs old, Keyoko is still playful and loves to cuddle with her people. She is looking for a safe and loving home. If you think that could be yours, click on the big black button marked "Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. This dog is being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

✅ Currently in South Korea 💜 Available to fly to JFK & EWR Meet Geondam! 🐻 💙 Name: Geondam 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 5 years old (Born in April 2020) 💙 Weight: 10 kg / 22.05 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1️⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Geondam was once on the first euthanasia list at the Gimje City Shelter. When rescuers first saw him, he was shivering in the corner of a cage, terrified of human touch. We couldn't give up on him, so he was rescued just in time to give him a second chance at life. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is very shy and takes a long time to open up to new people. Needs a patient family who can wait for him to feel safe. * With Dogs: Gets along very well with his friends at our center. * With Cats: Tends to chase them, so caution is required. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown because he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Unknown, but he currently prefers outdoor potty breaks. * Walks: Showed great walking skills during his time at the training center. * Hygiene: Was very well-behaved during grooming and hygiene care at the training center. * Because he is fearful, he may try to nip if forced into something. A gentle approach is essential. * Absolutely loves treats! * Is still scared of human touch. Needs time to learn that hands are for love, not for fear.

Story
Zazu (female), and her siblings were picked up by a kind woman after their mom was hit by a car.  The puppies were just a few days old so she bottle fed them around the clock, kept them warm and safe and managed to save them.   As of 12/14 they are estimated to be about 4 months old and weigh about 16-18 lbs.   They are believed to be husky mixes (a male husky roams around neighborhood) but their mother was small to medium sized. Zazu is the littlest one of the litter, but don't let that fool you - she's the boss of the group.  She is small but feisty, as well as affectionate and playful.  She is very friendly and loving and gets along well with other dogs and children.   Zazu has received all 3 rounds of her puppy vaccinations and is now able to hop on our next transport to the NJ area and come home to a forever home. Personality: friendly, playful, feisty, affectionate, energetic Good with: people of all ages (including kids), dogs, and cats Training: unknown at this time Estimated date of birth: late August 2025 Estimated size when full grown: medium; maybe around 40 pounds Medical: vetted, vaccinated, microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport. Story
Leo is approximately 2-3 years old and currently weighs 57 pounds.  Like so many dogs, Leo's story is a sad one.  Leo spent most of his life with a caring and loving owner who regularly took him to the vet and kept him inside (which is not typical for dogs in the south).  Once Leo's owner had to move into a senior residence, he entrusted a friend to care for his beloved dog, Leo. Long story short, that "friend" kept Leo chained up outside without food and water.  You can see from one of Leo's pictures that he was skinny when he was rescued.  He was taken to a shelter, but the shelter protocol is to euthanize dogs that are there for more than 3 days.  Leo was pulled from the shelter in the nick of time.  He's been to the vet and we unfortunately found out that he was heartworm positive so we arranged and paid for his treatments. Now, we are happy to announce that Leo has finished his heartworm treatments and he is now a healthy and happy boy.  We are told that he loves meeting people and was even happy to see everyone at the vet. Leo is described as a wonderful, fairly calm boy, though he does have the occasional puppy burst of energy.  He is human and dog friendly.   He's a good boy who will sit when you ask him to.  He loves car rides and will jump right in the back seat and stay there for the trip. Please help us find Leo a new, stable home.  He must have been so confused, going from the love and safety of his original owner to being tied up and ignored outside. Personality: friendly, affectionate, fairly calm with some puppy energy, good in car Good with: people, and dogs - has not been around cats yet Training: knows the command for 'sit' Estimated date of birth: approximately 2-3 years old Weight: 57 pounds Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.  If you have any questions please email: info@ friendsforlifeanimalrescue.org To apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us!  https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
