Hi my name is Keiko. I will be 9 yrs old in July, 2026. I am 100% pure breed American Standard Akita. As us Akitas I am very independent. I have lived with my human Dad and doggie dad since I was born. I've never been around any small humans, (kids). I need a new home with a yard and fence since my Dad is moving out of the country and I can't go. I like people generally, but like all Akitas, I really don't care for other animals. I am completely house trained and very clean. I'd like a new home with parents that have owned other large breed dogs, any past Akita ownership is a big plus, because you know....we are special dogs. I will always be loyal and respect you, as long as you treat me the same. If you love me I will definitely love you, but we don't need a lot of hands on affection. I will always be their for you, sleeping next to your bed, on the floor, if you need me. I would say my biggest fault is I am possessive of my bones and stuff, but I will also respect your stuff.

He was waiting at the shelter with a smile on his face despite the weather getting colder, but no one stepped up to adopt him. The shelter had poor conditions, with infectious diseases spreading and poor heating, so Adogs urgently rescued him. 3.) Basic Information ❗️As a puppy, he may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict his shedding and growth size because his parents are unknown. * With People: Is a little shy but is docile and stays in your arms when picked up. Once he becomes familiar with someone, he wags his tail like a helicopter and runs around happily just seeing them come near. Looks comfortable, often resting by your side or grabbing a toy and making himself at home.
