Story
Hi, I'm Luk! I'm a a 55 lb beautiful good girl who is the perfect mix of playful and calm — I love a good walk and exploring all the outdoor smells (squirrels and bunnies get me *very* excited, though I promise it's all in good fun). But I'm just as happy curled up quietly beside you while you read, work, or relax. **A little about me:** - I'm smart and love a good challenge — puzzle toys, training games, bring it on - Treats are my love language, and I could get belly rubs forever - I'm not a fan of the heat — after a walk, I'm ready for A/C and a cool floor over cozy carpet any day - I'm house trained - I'm still working on being left alone, but I've made huge progress and I know I'll settle in once I have a consistent home **With others:** I seem to love other dogs and people — I get excited to say hi when we pass dogs on our walks! I haven't met a cat yet, so we'll see. I really miss having a buddy around, so I think I'd do best with another animal companion to keep me secure, entertained, and less anxious. **My ideal home:** I'd love a family with a yard, plenty of people around to love on me, and maybe a furry sibling for company. I do best with minimal time home alone — someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be perfect. With consistent exercise and mental stimulation, I know I'll thrive. I promise to bring so much love and joy into your life. I look at you with the gentlest eyes, and honestly, I just want to be near you. Come meet me? Interested in adding Luk to your pack? Story
Meet Muk, a big, handsome sweetheart with a gentle soul. Active, loyal, loving and incredibly curious, Muk is the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side and involved in whatever you’re doing! With his tall stature, big paws, and fluffy coat, Muk looks a lot like a polar bear and he gets compliments everywhere he goes! He’s gentle when meeting new people and has the sweetest way of following his foster mom around the house, taking everything in with his adorable head tilts. Muk is potty trained, crate trained and leash trained. He’s an active boy who loves getting out and exploring, but once he’s had some exercise, he’s happy to relax and hang out with his people. Muk is ready for a family to call his own, he’s just waiting for his people to find him! Fill out an application to meet Muk! Questions? Email placement@thestreetdogproject.org.

Story
Meet Willow ❤️We are looking for a loving, experienced home for our sweet girl, Willow. She is 1 year and 9 months old, spayed, fully potty trained, crate trained, and knows sit, stay, and down. She loves walks, tug-of-war, cuddling, and watching TV. She must live indoors in a climate-controlled home.We want to be completely transparent about her challenges. Willow can be dominant/aggressive with other dogs and would do best as the only pet. She also has resource-guarding issues with items such as trash or socks. She has snapped at us and recently bit our daughter's hand when she tried to take trash from her.Because of this, Willow needs an experienced adult home without young children or other pets, ideally someone willing to work with a professional trainer or veterinary behaviorist. She is a sweet dog who deserves the right environment, patience, structure, and love. Our goal is finding the safest and best fit for her. ❤️

Story
Kita is a sweet boy who has been overlooked at the shelter, and he’s patiently waiting for the person who will finally see just how special he is.Kita is good with other dogs, although he can be a little scared of male dogs and would do best with slow, thoughtful introductions. He’s also okay with cats, but he’ll let you know that he’d much rather have his human all to himself and will play with them not understanding the cat isn`t interested! Kita loves his people and wants to be your loyal, devoted companion. He’s great with kids, and when he’s not soaking up attention, you can find him doing two of his favorite things: playing fetch and splashing around in the pool! After being passed over time and time again, Kita continues to wait patiently for his perfect match. He doesn’t need a perfect home — he just needs someone willing to give him a chance and show him the love he deserves.Kita truly is the best dog, and we know his person is out there. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for? Please don’t let Kita be overlooked again. Give this amazing boy a chance to be your best friend.

Story
Meet Nelly   Nelly is a beautiful 5 year old Akita mix with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. She isn't the type who needs constant entertainment. She's perfectly happy relaxing on her own, but the moment you sit down to give her attention, she's all in for affection and love.   She is housebroken, non-destructive, and gets along well with other dogs. Whether she's sharing a home with canine friends or soaking up the peace and quiet as your one and only, Nelly is simply happy to be part of the family.   Nelly's story is a heartbreaking one. She was abandoned when the family she loved moved away, leaving her behind to fend for herself. Despite that betrayal, she has remained sweet, trusting, and full of love to give. Now all she wants is a family who will never leave her again.   If you're looking for a loyal, calm companion who will happily spend her days by your side, Nelly is ready to start her next chapter with you.   Adoption application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13102/generic ##2777382##
