Story
Pretty girl Addie is looking for her forever home where she can grow up to be your best friend! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Addie is an adorable and loving ball of fluff. She has a sweet face and knows it, too, from the endless compliments she gets. She's not only ready to be your best friend but is also quick to befriend any person, dog, or cat she comes across. She's mastered 'sit' and is now working on her crate training. Still being a puppy, she's trainable and eager to learn new tricks, especially if they come with a treat. Addie would be content to spend all day, every day, outside. She still has a little puppy energy, so she thrives running around or playing with sticks. Once that's burned off, she's content to stop and smell the flowers (literally) or just lay in the grass and watch her surroundings. She loves to be doted on with pets and cuddles and energetically returns them. If you're looking for a friendly, and really soft, best friend, Addie is your girl. ATTRIBUTES: Addie has previously lived with other dogs. -------------- LLaila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Tom (A546844) Tom was very nervous and unsure of me when I first took him out for a walk but came along willingly and cautiously. Once we got out of the kennel and started walking, he untucked his tail and started to enjoy his time outside. He takes time to warm up but is very sweet and loving. He pulls every once and a while on the leash but overall is a very good boy. Once he warms up, I have no doubt that he will by his person’s side and be there for them.

Story
Cassie's owner was  homeless and realized that he had to give her up for her sake.  She was frightened in the shelter initially, but warmed up to the staff fairly quickly.  When our volunteer went to meet her, all Cassie wanted to do was sit next to her and be petted.  She will not be available until after she is spayed in Mid-April.  We are still getting to know Cassie better so  stay tuned for more info.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Akai camd from a shelter in NC.  Here is what the shelter said about her: 'This beautiful girl is Akaie. She has been fostered out twice to potential adopters from our shelter but returned both times, as neither potential adopter was familiar with the breed and she was “too much” for them. There was no mention of aggression or anything dealing with behavior, just that she was too strong for one’s wife to walk while he is at work and then the second foster read information on the breed and decided she was not a match for her. We would love to find an Akita Rescue that could pull her from our facility and find the right family for her. ' The shelter workers adored her. Here is what we know about her from her time with us.  She is great with people.  Very particular about what dogs she likes.  Has a fairly high prey drive, so no small dogs or cats. She is at our kennel.  As with all Akitas, she does not like to potty in her run.  Update: Akai has been in a foster home for about 3 weeks. She’s been to the groomers and the vet, no issues with anyone there. She will sit, down and dance when you ask to. She mostly walks well with minor corrections.  She is housebroken and the foster says she is a gem. She has been to the foster’s place of business (store), and has been okay with most of the customers.  She is not crazy about men in baseball caps. A contractor waring a hat met her and when he held out his hand for her to sniff, she growled.  Once he removed his hat, she was fine. One man walked into the store and she disliked him so much she had to be out of the store.Sh barked intensely at him.  Akai needs a home with some Akita experience. Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13400🐾 Meet Kramer: Your Energetic and Goofy CompanionName: KramerAge: 4 yearsBreed: Siberian Husky MixLocation: Richmond, VirginiaWeight: 55 lbsIntroduction:Say hello to Kramer, the lively and lovable 4-year-old Siberian Husky mix currently seeking his forever home in Richmond, Virginia. If you're in search of an energetic, engaging, and goofy companion, Kramer might just be the perfect match for you.Personality:Kramer is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm, always ready for adventure and fun. He loves to explore the great outdoors, play fetch in the yard, and chase after toys with boundless energy. Despite his high energy levels, Kramer has a sweet and affectionate side, enjoying belly rubs and snuggles with his favorite humans.Behavior and Training:While Kramer is an absolute delight to have around, he is still learning proper behavior and social skills. He may sometimes engage in mouthing, jumping, or inappropriate behavior towards other dogs and people, but progress is being made with his foster parents' guidance and patience. In indoor settings, it's best to keep Kramer separate from other dogs to prevent rough play. However, he excels in his crate and is fully house-trained. Ideal Home:Kramer would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He would do best in a household without children and with ample space for him to run and play. If you're willing to continue working on his leash manners and providing him with the love, attention, and exercise he needs, Kramer could be the perfect addition to your family. How to Adopt:If you're interested in welcoming Kramer into your home and providing him with the love and care he deserves, please apply today!
