I am urgently trying to find a new home for Sana, my 2.5yo Akita- she must be re-homed by May 1st at the latest. She is not safe around children, nor is she safe around other pets at this time (maybe with training). She suffers from separation anxiety, so she would love to be a companion animal. She needs vigorous daily exercise or room to run. Sana is a purebred Akita (no papers). She weighs about 100lbs. She's micro-chipped, she’s up to date on vaccinations, and she has no major health problems (she does have sensitive skin; a possible flea allergy; she’s on a limited-ingredient diet). Spayed. At this point, due to her fear reactivity, prey drive, and aggression towards other animals, Sana is a high risk animal. She has no bite history. She’s very wary of strangers, but she has become friends with my friends and with people who regularly take her for walks. She knows basic commands but will require further training. An owner with experience handling dominant-type breeds would be best

Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Who wouldn't want to take this hunky Hollywood guy home? He's waiting to meet you! Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Jason is healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Millie! She is a 3-year-old, 53lb Akita/Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Millie is an AWESOME and not to mention a GORGEOUS dog! She walks well on leash and likes to stay close to her person and takes treats gently. She listens well to commands and although she does have a good amount of energy, she is able to focus when you need her to. She does well with other dogs and would be a great additional dog to a home or fine as an only dog. She can be a little jumpy from time to time so with a little basic obedience training, she will be able to work through that. She does seem to already know some basic obedience, however. This sweetheart is going to make an incredible dog for one lucky household. Millie is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

Cece is a sweet girl who loves to give hugs, run, walks and is good around kids. She’s also good around cats but wants to play with them which annoys my cat. Cece needs a home where she’s active. Also as long as she gets a good walk she’s not too hyper, she is only 12 months old after all. She doesn’t bark much which is nice. But she can’t be left alone in the house yet, she still chews on things and need to be in a kennel, or fenced in area. My hours at work went up and I’m unable to keep her.
