Story
We got Juice as a puppy in 2018 from a breeder near Toronto, Ontario. He has always been a sweet, energetic, and playful dog. He loves his family and is great with children who are respectful and gentle with him. He is sometimes wary of men, and can take a while to warm up with a thoughtful introduction. He has lived with an adult female Akita and MIGHT be able to live with another large female dog. He is not safe around small animals as he has a high prey drive. We are being forced to leave the country unexpectedly and can not take him with us. We will work hard to find the right fit for him!

Story
Hi! My name is Aurora and I am available for adoption!I was brought in by a good samaritan on March 9, 2025.**I can climb 6 ft fences**I weigh 65 lbs and am considered a medium `breed` dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `down` and `shake`.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing! My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home with old children.I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Bueller is looking for his forever home! This cheerful, fluffy adventurer is bursting with curiosity and charm, always ready to explore the world with his signature prance that’s guaranteed to brighten your day. Whether he's exploring the backyard, playing with his favorite toys, or curling up for cuddle time, Bueller brings happiness wherever he goes. Bueller was born with mild vestibular disease and some visual impairment, which can sometimes affect his balance and cause him to turn left when he's feeling extra excited. But don’t let that fool you—this happy boy navigates the world with confidence and enthusiasm. Nothing slows him down, and his zest for life is truly contagious. He's been doing great with basic training and loved his time in puppy classes. Bueller thrives on affection, loves meeting new people, and soaks up attention like a sponge. He adores other dogs and loves to play! He’s looking for an experienced home that can continue guiding him as he grows.  As with all puppies, Bueller will need continued training and socialization to help him grow into the best version of himself. He’s an Akita/Alaskan Malamute mix, estimated to have been born on October 16, 2024, and as of May, he weighed 49  pounds. Adopters with experience with Akitas or similar breeds preferred.  If you're ready for a lovable sidekick who’ll brighten your days with snuggles, spirit, and endless charm, Fluffball Bueller might just be your perfect match! Bueller’s adoption fee is $550. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Bueller at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2250571##

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Story
Lily is a stunning 3-year-old, 63-pound Akita mix with striking blue eyes and a heart full of love. She has a calm, quiet temperament and loves following her foster mom around. This gentle girl is patient, sweet, and easygoing. She walks beautifully on a leash and waits for her walks to do her business. Lily is great with other dogs and kids. She got along great with the 2 cats in her foster home, but did not like the more affectionate cat in her adoptive home that didn’t work out. She loves going on adventures and spending time with her person, so she’d like someone home a lot.Lily is ready to find a forever home where she can be cherished for the amazing dog she is. Story
Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Home cannot have other male dogs, and/or smaller breeds. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! Please visit our website www.motleyzoorescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Name: Faith Gender: Female Breed: Husky About Faith: Introducing Faith, a remarkable 3-year-old Husky whose story is as inspiring as her spirit is endearing. Faith was found in August 2023, wandering the streets on the outskirts of Guadalajara city, in a harrowing state with a severe injury to her eye. Despite the unimaginable pain she must have endured, Faith's strong will and unyielding determination shone through, helping her survive and continue to show an incredible zest for life. Faith is a beautiful example of the resilience and strength Huskies are known for. With her natural runner’s spirit, she thrives in environments where she can explore and be active. Huskies are known for their boundless energy and love for adventure, so it's highly recommended to keep Faith securely leashed and within a fenced area to prevent her from chasing after small animals, which is an instinctive trait of the breed. Despite her rough start, Faith is incredibly smart, intuitive, and affectionate. She has an innate ability to connect with people and is open and trustful, showing that she has a big heart despite past hardships. Faith loves playing with other dogs and is well-balanced in social settings, making her a wonderful companion for outings and adventures with you by her side. Faith is a fast learner and responds well to training, thriving when given a purpose and regular daily exercise. As a working breed, Huskies like Faith need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. She’ll be at her best when engaged in activities that challenge her and keep her active. If you’re ready to offer Faith the loving home she deserves, you’ll gain a loyal and spirited companion who will fill your life with joy and adventure. Come meet Faith and see how her resilient spirit and loving nature can enrich your life! They are currently in Mexico awaiting a family committed to a 10-day trial. If interested, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org. The adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccines, a negative heartworm test, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. ##2093860##
