He was waiting at the shelter with a smile on his face despite the weather getting colder, but no one stepped up to adopt him. The shelter had poor conditions, with infectious diseases spreading and poor heating, so Adogs urgently rescued him. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗️As a puppy, he may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict his shedding and growth size because his parents are unknown. * With People: Is a little shy but is docile and stays in your arms when picked up. Once he becomes familiar with someone, he wags his tail like a helicopter and runs around happily just seeing them come near. * With Dogs: Plays well with the other dogs at our center. * With Cats: Hasn’t met cats yet. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown, since he’s living in a group setting at our center. Will need training from scratch. * Potty Training: Does fairly well with potty pads. May need to be re-trained in a new environment. * Grooming: Although he doesn’t like it, he’s docile while getting his nails trimmed with his belly-side up. * Walks: Hasn’t been on walks since his vaccinations aren’t complete. * Car Sickness: Didn’t show signs of car sickness on short-distance rides. * Biting: Has not bitten. However, he may nibble or chew since he’s still a teething puppy. * Barking: Sometimes whines a bit if he seems someone outside his kennel. * Likes: Has a great appetite and loves food. * Dislikes: Although he is docile when picked up, he seems a bit uncomfortable with it since he yawns (a sign that a dog isn’t comfortable).

My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old male Akita - Jindo mix. I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home. I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly. I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever. Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten. I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection! On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup. Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Home cannot have other male dogs, and/or smaller breeds. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.
