Diesel is a great dog and I wish that we could keep him. He’s a loyal companion who loves to be with his family. We have enjoyed many trips with Diesel and he has protected us from harm in the past. He’s an amazing guard dog and is very loving to the people that he cares about. We have unfortunately gotten too busy to properly care for him. Diesel needs to be walked twice a day to be happy. He’s not happy to stay in a back yard. He has been suffering from an itchy back side which we haven’t been able to figure out. He does not have fleas. Before his skin problem he was very good with children. With his backside being irritated, he does bark at them when they get too close to his backside but he has never hurt any one. Diesel is unpredictable with other dogs and has several food allergies. I will provide an allergy list to the new owner. Diesel is a fantastic dog for people who have the time to spend with him and for people with older children. We are very sad to see him go.

In true Akita fashion, he can be a very stubborn boy who needs lots of mental and physical stimulation to remain satisfied. Boone is an affectionate pup but his breed mixture does make him a bit unique and would do best in a household that has experience with large, working breed dogs. He has a bad habit of play biting and jumping when he is bored and has not learned how to be gentle with this yet. Boone loves other dogs, but may be too much for small dogs as he doesn't quite understand how big he is. He is doing great with learning how to walk on leash politely.
