Husky Mix 3 years old Male 55 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No My name is Toro, and I am one handsome Husky. I’m sweet natured and full of life. I’m plenty adventurous, but I also love to just chill when the time is right. I do wonderfully in my crate, and I promise it is a great start to everything else you wanna teach me! I also get along great with all the other dogs here and I enjoy the company of sturdy children 8+, but I hope this doesn’t come as too big of a surprise to you Husky aficionados…cats are a no-go. If you ask me to sit, I’ll oblige, and if you ask me to come, I’ll think about it. LOL! I don’t mean to cut this short, but I think it’s time you hurry in and meet me! My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Everest May is a gorgeous, goofy girl, with all of that classic Husky charm! Loving, loyal and eager to please, this girl is a dream! Everest is a soft and fluffy three year-old husky mix weighing a modest 50lbs. Though with rescue we can’t guarantee any dog’s breed, age or eventual size. One of my favorite things about her is the way she turns the charm on with her bright pretty golden eyes! Fall in love with her here! https://youtu.be/dD5ZScbqLfs?si=yWmSTFYyK1TdBiMQ Everest enjoys taking life slow and prefers playmates who share the same sentiment. In playgroups you’ll find her watching her friends play, even when they’re jumping and trotting around she prefers just sitting back and watching. She would love to find a home with a fellow introvert or to be the only dog in her home. If you know huskies very well, you know that they love to communicate. Everest is no exception and will howl to let you know when she needs to go or to share about her day. If you enjoy having communication in your life she does as well. She is crate trained and loves her personal “bedroom”. Everest needs a home without a cat as she showed too much interest during her cat test. In the car, Everest is content and easy to handle. She doesn’t mind being along for the ride, and prefers to lay across the backseat, but will sit up to look out the window! She loves when you roll the window down a bit, and will sniff all the smells dutifully, enjoying every moment of her little adventure! Now, have a few kids in life? You found a pup who will love them endlessly. Everest met a toddler several times and had a blast! That may be due to the yummy chicken fingers she… tactfully acquired but, I digress! She was interrupted during snack time where a little one ran literally right in between her and the food, no reaction. That is seriously impressive! Leash walking is something that was easy for her to pick up. We walked her past a dog and practiced solo walking onsite. She has the most endearing little trot on leash beside you and throws her fluffy tail up happily. Everest would thrive in a home with a yard and plenty of human companionship. She is an all around gentle soul who would love a comfy place to land. She is crate and potty trained and does well here at Rustic! Though she may need a reminder when introduced to a new place and learns the proper areas. Adopt Everest today, she is ready to go home! We are willing to test Everest with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email katiak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
