Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable with strangers. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I like dogs. Another dog would help me to come out of my shell!I need a slow introduction to cats. I might be able to share my space with cats, but I'd like to get used to the idea over time. Primary Color: White Weight: 47.125 Age: 0yrs 10mths 1wks

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7UIBUX7JjZs Twister is a roughly 7 month old husky mix who came to our rescue with bad skin. But he is almost done healing now and he is ready to find his forever home. He has been great with other dogs of all sizes. He is kenneled with another dog and he does get protective over food since he was a stray and had to probably fight for food, but he has never attacked or anything like that and he's gotten a lot better now that he knows that food is not scarce anymore. He paid no attention to the cats when he was introduced. He does have husky energy so a home with previous husky experience would be preferred. An active couple or individual that will understand the joys of owning a husky. He is currently still in Oklahoma but he can only be adopted out state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will find a local foster to take him in until a new home is found or he will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Wisconsin (Appleton) - Illinois (Bloomington and Rockford) - New York (Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Hampshire (Stratham) Adoption fee: $450 (includes the $250 cost of transport from OK) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Twister is a vibrant young Husky with boundless energy and an adventurous spirit. His playful nature often translates into being jumpy and mouthy, traits typical of his breed and age. However, with the right guidance and training, Twister has the potential to become an incredible companion. Twister thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation. His ideal day includes long walks, hikes, and plenty of playtime in a secure area. Engaging him in activities like agility training or interactive games will not only help burn off his energy but also strengthen the bond between him and his new family.Due to his youthful exuberance, Twister would benefit greatly from obedience training and socialization. Basic commands such as sit, stay, and recall will help channel his energy in a positive direction and prevent undesirable behaviors. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement are key to shaping Twister into a well-mannered canine companion. Twister would thrive in a household with experienced dog owners who understand the needs of Huskies and are committed to providing him with the physical and mental stimulation he requires. Due to his energetic nature and tendency to be mouthy, a home without young children under 12 is needed.Potential adopters should be prepared for the time and effort required to train and socialize Twister. Huskies are intelligent and independent dogs, and with proper guidance, Twister has the potential to become a loyal and loving family member for years to come. Ask about Twister today! Story
Siberian Husky 2 years old Male 52 pounds Kids · 4+ Dogs · Yes Cats · Dog-savvy cats It seems that my find-a-family meter is on the Fritz. Maybe the batteries went dead? I guess I’ll just have to make do without it. Can you help me out? I’m searching for a family that loves Huskies, I’m a pretty chill one, so they’ll hit the jackpot. I get along great with other dogs, dog-savvy cats, and respectful kids 4+. Crate trained already too, and I know how to sit and shake. I’m a fan favorite around here, but I stay humble. I’m starting to think maybe I don’t need that find-a-family meter after all… My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.
