Meet Katya, she’s a beautiful Malamute/Husky mix of 2 years old. She was saved from euthanasia at the shelter for having been there too long and just overlooked amongst so many huskies. Katya loves life, loves to play fetch, to go on hikes and runs, and is just a wonderful companion. She’s best with older kids and large dogs. She has prey drive with small animals/cats. She is spayed, chipped, and vaccinated. Only asking $100-Adoption fee to try our best to get Katya a home - she has been kenneled for almost a year!! If interested, please come by the ranch ( 34128 Agua Dulce Canyon Road in Santa Clarita) any day between 8-6

Story
Awwooooo!!! Adopt me!   LAKOTA is an affectionate, gentle, playful (and at first - a little bit shy). but is now available for adoption to the public!!   Background: Lakota was picked up as a stray on 7/27 and brought to a shelter. He was thin and leggy, and originally thought to be a wolf hybrid (and therefore rescue only to wolf-sanctuaries). He stole our heart and we advocated for him by presenting info to the staff which gave them the resources to properly phenotype him. We also presented his photos & videos to other rescue groups that specialize in Northern breeds who also weighed in. Our favorite, wolf-sanctuary-sister-rescue and friend, Dr. Lorin Linder, Ph.D., MPH. of Lockwood Animal Rescue Center also reviewed the photos/videos and provided her expert opinion to the shelter. He's now been properly labeled as an Alaskan Malamute mix and because of his lovely, friendly temperament, can become the forever companion to a very lucky person or family.   Despite all of Lakota's people-friendly qualities, Lakota is reactive to other dogs so only adopters with experience with strong, Northern breed dogs will be considered, and he will not be placed in a home with other dogs or pets. Story
I rescued Mila when she was about 6 weeks old and had recently lost her mother. She is a sweetheart and is extremely friendly with everyone (humans and animals). She has been socialized with all sizes of dogs from a young age. I’m no longer able to keep her due to moving away and unfortunately, I cannot take her with me. I want to make sure she goes to a loving home with a lot of space for her to roam around. Ideally a ranch/property with other animals.

Story
The REALLY AWESOME DOGS don't stay long in rescue, and Sonny will be one of them. If you are ready to adopt and need a little more HAPPY in your life then come meet Sonny! This young (about a year old) and gorgeous guy is happy, playful, and incredibly smart. He loves to play tug-o-war, catch a ball, splash in water if he is lucky enough to have access to a small plastic kid's pool! It's not HIS fault his Human could not keep him, and like all dogs that live in the moment, he just wants to LOVE. He is dog-friendly (with other playful and respectful dogs) and would do great with an active family with kids. Sonny is in a foster home in Southern California (Santa Clarita Valley) and is Ready to Meet YOU now! Sonny is happy, healthy, neutered, has all current vaccinations, and is microchipped. He has his very own duffel bag which contains his brand new collar, leash, bed, bowl, and bag of high quality dog food. To meet Sonny, please reach out to us: angels@akitaangels.org October 22, 2024, 12:35 pm

Story
MAIKO needs a Miracle - - - LOVELAND, COLORADO   Maiko has lived his entire life with his family, and after facing a life-changing situation, they have no other option but to rehome him. He has been loved - intensely - since he was a pup, and is well socialized, but like many Akitas, he would do best as an only dog in the home and in a home with kids older than 10.   He is going to turn 8 in March, is neutered, up to date with all his vaccinations, and is microchipped. He has no known health issues and has never been involved in a bite incident with a human or other dog.   His family is devastated and has asked for our help in rehoming him, and avoid him having to be moved to Southern California. Please share this post. He is located in Loveland, Colorado (Just North of Denver). October 22, 2024, 12:35 pm

Story
HIRO is a friendly, affectionate, and strikingly handsome 5 year old male Japanese/American Akita. He was surrendered to rescue after his family had to relocate to Korea and were unable to take Hiro with them. Hiro is a medium-large sized Akita, and weighs about 80lbs. He has a beautiful, soft, shiny blond coat and the sweetest, brightest dark brown eyes.  Hiro was very socialized as a young Akita, and has an easy-going temperament. He loves walks, car rides, or just hanging out with you. He would love nothing more than to be your loyal, lifelong, companion.     Visit our website at www.akitaangels.org. Under the ADOPT link, download an application. Complete/scan in PDF format and return to: angels@akitaangels.org.   All animals in our adoption program are spayed or neutered; are up to date with vaccinations/rabies vaccination); microchipped; and have received a well-health check by a licensed veterinarian.   Want to learn more?
