Story
Hi, my name is Hoagy and I am a very sweet, and handsome, 4 year old Siberian Husky mix boy. I am ok with other large dogs but would be best as an only dog as I can clash with other dominant large dog personalities.  I haven't been tested with small dogs or cats although rescue doesn't believe I would be ok with either.  I can get over excited during play time and would be best suited with a family who is Northern breed experienced. I would be a great mushing/sled dog....hint. hint.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption application today at https://www.delaneysdog.com/adoption-application.html my adoption comes with 3 free training sessions from my trainer and friend: Ian at Dog on Fun in Covina.   Looking forward to hearing from you!!! ##1852956##

Story
Awwooooo!!! Adopt me!   LAKOTA is an affectionate, gentle, playful (and at first - a little bit shy). but is now available for adoption to the public!!   Background: Lakota was picked up as a stray on 7/27 and brought to a shelter. He was thin and leggy, and originally thought to be a wolf hybrid (and therefore rescue only to wolf-sanctuaries). He stole our heart and we advocated for him by presenting info to the staff which gave them the resources to properly phenotype him. We also presented his photos & videos to other rescue groups that specialize in Northern breeds who also weighed in. Our favorite, wolf-sanctuary-sister-rescue and friend, Dr. Lorin Linder, Ph.D., MPH. of Lockwood Animal Rescue Center also reviewed the photos/videos and provided her expert opinion to the shelter. He's now been properly labeled as an Alaskan Malamute mix and because of his lovely, friendly temperament, can become the forever companion to a very lucky person or family.   Despite all of Lakota's people-friendly qualities, Lakota is reactive to other dogs so only adopters with experience with strong, Northern breed dogs will be considered, and he will not be placed in a home with other dogs or pets. Story
The people I adopted King from said he would jump their 6 ft fence and go on adventures. I think he must have been left alone a lot. He does like to have company. If no humans are around he is ok to hang out with his cat. He is excellent with children. He has been professionally trained. He went to "So Cal Off Leash" training for 2-3 weeks cant remember for sure. He listens very well, walks on a leash without pulling, knows many commands. While he does like his walks, you will know he is tired when his tail uncurls. He is very afraid of fireworks. We used to live in Long Beach and there were a lot firework. He is a very good boy. I recently moved to a small apartment and I work long hours. Before this move he had someone who worked from home with him.

Story
Incredibly loyal and listens to instruction Absolutely loves attention however doesnlike when attention is shared, she will push your arm with her nose or get in between you and someone else or another pet for attention EXCELLENT dog for a single man or woman A couple would be excellent too Doesn’t do well with children, she tends to think of them as an irritant and will growl or nip when kids rub her too much House trained where she pees on a puppy pad , however she won’t hold it as a properly house trained dog would Doesn’t do well with senor dogs, puppies she will play with and get along but once again she doesn’t like to share attention so she will growl at the other dog, she’s currently housed with a 1.5 year old Malinois and she’s acted as alpha with her many times but they do play and get along Doesn’t get car sick Rarely barks , for a husky she’s very quiet She pulls initially but she tires out quick and enjoyable to walk Non reactive to other dogs while walking
