People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one ever responded.This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love nothing more than to help him find his forever family! Sammy loves to play with toys and with entertain himself or play with you!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). He is algo great around kids. He loves to have his tummy and head rubbed. He has never fought another dog. He is about 55-60lbs. He currently lives in Baldwin Park and needs a new home ASAP. He is good indoors and outdoors. Whenever he is inside he respects furniture and beds, he won’t go on them. He’ll pick a spot on the floor and lay down there. Outdoors he likes to run around and take naps wherever is fresh.

Sushi is a beautiful Alaskan Malamute/Husky mix born on February 14, 2022 a fitting birthday for such a loving dog. My sister and I adopted her from a litter at 8 weeks old, and she has been raised in a structured, attentive, and loving home. She is crate trained, primarily an indoor dog, and enjoys daily walks and outdoor playtime. Sushi completed basic obedience training at Dogs World Academy at 6 months old and knows commands including heel, wait, where’s your toy, sit, down, up, and stay. For training consistency, she is not allowed on furniture. Sushi does very well with other dogs but is not suitable for homes with cats due to prey drive. Her medical care is fully up to date, and she is well groomed every 4–6 weeks. She eats Kirkland dog food (3½–4 cups daily), weighs about 73 lbs, and does not eat human food. Sushi is sweet, affectionate, and gentle. She thrives in a calm home with routine, positive reinforcement, companionship, and a family committed to her long-term.
