Story
Appa is a 2-year-old Johnson-type American Bulldog, born April 1, 2023. Appa is goofy, playful, energetic, and affectionate once he’s comfortable. He can be skittish in new environments and benefits from patience and consistency while adjusting. He has a strong prey drive and cannot live with small animals, cats, birds, or small dogs. He may do best with dogs his size or larger following proper introductions. He has done well around children. Appa requires an experienced adopter familiar with strong, working-type breeds. He is intelligent but stubborn and would benefit from structured training and clear boundaries. Appa has one documented bite incident in a high-stress situation and has not bitten again. Because of this, he needs an adult, experienced home that understands dog behavior and management. We are seeking a new home because our household can no longer meet his needs safely or appropriately. Our goal is to place Appa in an environment where he can succeed long-term.

Story
Tootsey is happy trotting smushface. Talk about being greeted with a smile everyday when you come home. She is a love bug, she enjoys belly rubs and quality time. Toots girl was sadly left behind by an owner that passed from a car accident. She and her mother found shelter and safety with a foster that has tended to them for an extended period of time. This sweet girl is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, is a friendly pup to all people. She is somewhat of a slug and little hippo. She enjoys laying around in heaps of fluff, eating yummy treats and bringing loving vibes to any home. Tootsey would love to live in a family but as an only dog or pet. I got Rizzo after a friend passed away he is a very sweet dog thinks he’s more of a lap dog instead of a big heavy dog he loves to follow you around and cuddle loves to watch you cook with high hopes of you letting him taste test he does require a lot of attention and will be glued to your hip all and all he needs someone who has time and love that’s all he wants I can no longer keep him due to my work schedule and the attention he requires

Story
Clover is a female and is an extremely friendly, kind, smart and love bug dog.  At first I personally did not expect Clover to be such a sweetheart until I met her and got to spend time with her.   During that time we were buddies 24 hours a day.  This very sweet girl stayed with me everywhere I went and even slept in my bed with me at night, so being a 24 hour buddy is no exaggeration.  I will definitely miss this sweet heart greatly when she leaves me to go to her forever home.January 5, 2026, 11:34 am

Story
Bronson is a 4-year-old snuggler w/a huge heart. We adopted him 2 yrs ago from Rockford Animal Control, where he was a staff favorite. We believe he’s American Bulldog/XL Bully mix, ~90 pounds, and overall a wonderful dog. He adored his smaller canine brother and happily let him be in charge. Sadly, his brother passed last March, and since then Bronson has become very protective of me (mom), as I work from home and we’re together constantly. Full disclosure: he bit my adult son when my son approached me suddenly with a high five. We’ve tried training without improvement, which led to the heartbreaking decision to rehome him. Bronson is loving, fun, and affectionate—he sleeps with my teenage daughter every night and loves to be spooned. He’s fully potty trained, enjoys a fenced yard, and chases squirrels and bunnies. He does well when left alone in one room. He’s sensitive to chicken n eats fish based kibble. Will do best in 1 person home. We’ll provide food, bowls, crate, beds, n bones

Ah some fresh air! A little walk, a couple of zoomies in a play yard and I’m ready for belly rubs. Then let’s walk a little more, some sniffing here and there and of course I always stop to look at people when they talk to me. I love all the attention I can get. So now that you are seeing my online picture, imagine me with my big head of your lap, relaxing with you and just enjoying all these special moments of being together. I’m not too much into sharing my people with other pets but that’s just because I have so much love to give. I’d prefer a home with not too much commotion. I’m also pretty smart – get me to sit and stay, throw a treat and then ask me to find it. I always succeed….I have to say that I really like food. My tail is wagging in anticipation of meeting my new family.
