Tootsey is happy trotting smushface. Talk about being greeted with a smile everyday when you come home. She is a love bug, she enjoys belly rubs and quality time. Toots girl was sadly left behind by an owner that passed from a car accident. She and her mother found shelter and safety with a foster that has tended to them for an extended period of time. This sweet girl is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, is a friendly pup to all people. She is somewhat of a slug and little hippo. She enjoys laying around in heaps of fluff, eating yummy treats and bringing loving vibes to any home. Tootsey would love to live in a family but as an only dog or pet. She doesn’t do the best with other animals but is easy to control and would be more than happy to have a beautiful yard to herself. To know Morgan is to love Morgan, or be completely obsessed with her, and that's what we are! This low rider, piglet is the most precious gal that we got from Chicago Animal Care and Control. Morgan had a rough start, she was hit by a car back in May of 2025 before she was brought into CACC, she even had the tire marks on her body. Once she was at CACC she kept getting overlooked and sat there for two months before we scooped her up. We truly have no idea why she was there so long because she is so special! Morgan is the queen of go with the flow. Tons of dogs running around playing, that's cool she'll just waddle around and soak it all up! Want to snuggle on a couch, that's perfect she is ready to join in! Morgan's favorite things include eating, getting all the love, and back in the summer... the baby pool! When the weather was warm, she would wander around the play yard until she found herself in the baby pool and then just observe everything from there like that was her lookout point. She is a hoot! Morgan is living in a foster home, and her foster parents love her. She is house trained, great in her crate, but can be trusted free roam, too! Here is what Morgan's foster parents have to say about her: "Morgan is a loveable and cuddly dog who loves to play. She loves to be petted. She can be energetic one minute and snoring away the next. Her snorts are part of her charm. Morgan is a great walker and is house broken. She loves everyone she encounters." Hello! My name`s Putter from the golf litter! I was adopted as a puppy and returned to the shelter at 6 years old in May 2023 when my humans had a baby. I`m looking for a nice cozy home to retire in! I am an American Bulldog/Retriever mix weighing around 62lbs. I am a sweet, smart dog who is considered medium/low energy. My favorite things include cuddling, car rides, walks, and playtime! Everyone tells me that I`m the goofiest dog in the rescue and everyone adores my play growl, play hops, and play bows! I`m also told that I walk fantastic on a leash and have wonderful manners where I don`t pull. I know to do my business outside and will even sit by the door to alert my owners that I need to go. I don`t mind the crate and I can be trusted outside of the crate as well. I don`t chew up stuff I`m not supposed to either! I also know basic commands such as sit, paw, other paw, lay down, and roll over!I’ve been working on my socializing skills & can do good around kids in public, but I’d prefer my forever home with older or no kids since their rambunctious energy can still make me nervous.
