Sailor is a very handsome, 3 year old, 90lb American bulldog mix. He is as photogenic as they come, and he knows it! He is a cuddly gentle giant who is looking to find his forever family. Sailor would prefer to be in a home where he is the only dog, but he has previously lived with a 10 lb Chihuahua. If you have a resident dog, he would prefer them to be smaller in size and have a lower energy level just like him! He can get a little uncomfortable and anxious when an animal, either dog or cat, or human doesn't respect his personal space, so a home with older kids would be best. He currently lives in a foster home with 3 cats and doesn't pay them any mind. Sailor has shown to be fearful of adult men if they approach him too quickly, but he just needs to know he can trust them! Sailor LOVES people - he always wants to be near you!He loves to give foster mom big sloppy face kisses to tell her how much he loves and appreciates her. He will hop right up in your lap regardless of his size and he'll also lay his body across the middle console while you're driving! He is housebroken. He seems to get anxious when people leave him in a crate so family that is home often would probably suit him best. DOMINO NEEDS A FOREVER FOSTER!! 2023 was a lousy year for this big, beautiful girl. Let's make 2024 a good year for her. Darling Domino needs a chance at happiness. She is a delightful girl who bonds closely to the people she loves. She's mostly a couch potato who enjoys a romp around the yard and playing with her toys. She loves to go on car rides. She needs a home where she will be the only pet, no other dogs or cats because she was never socialized with other animals. She needs a home with a physically-fenced yard where she can run around a bit, take care of business and get back indoors. She's about 9 years old and 62 pounds. She's best suited to a home where she won't have to navigate flights of stairs. Domino has some health issues -- food and skin allergies and some arthritis. When she finds a home, she will be a forever foster, SDHR will continue to provide for all of her veterinary care, preventatives, etc. through our vet, Clough Pike Veterinary Clinic in Batavia. DOMINO was adopted from SDHR 6.5 years ago and was happy in her furever home. Then she got the rug pulled out from under her when she lost her home due to the usual litany of excuses we hear in rescue... she's a great dog and we love her but moving blah blah, job change blah blah, not enough time blah blah.
