Cane was adopted over 2 years ago. He recently came back to us after being abandoned. ?? Cane originally came to us from a partner shelter where they found him with a padlocked collar abandoned in a basement for over 2 days. Even though, humans have failed him Cane is still the sweetest boy. He is a volunteer favorite, he's a great boy at events AND he loves play groups. You won't be able to tell by his picture, but Cane is almost a completely white dog!!

DOMINO NEEDS A FOREVER FOSTER!! 2023 was a lousy year for this big, beautiful girl. Let's make 2024 a good year for her. Darling Domino needs a chance at happiness. She is a delightful girl who bonds closely to the people she loves. She's mostly a couch potato who enjoys a romp around the yard and playing with her toys. She loves to go on car rides. She needs a home where she will be the only pet, no other dogs or cats because she was never socialized with other animals. She needs a home with a physically-fenced yard where she can run around a bit, take care of business and get back indoors. She's about 9 years old and 62 pounds. She's best suited to a home where she won't have to navigate flights of stairs. Domino has some health issues -- food and skin allergies and some arthritis. When she finds a home, she will be a forever foster, SDHR will continue to provide for all of her veterinary care, preventatives, etc. through our vet, Clough Pike Veterinary Clinic in Batavia. DOMINO was adopted from SDHR 6.5 years ago and was happy in her furever home. Then she got the rug pulled out from under her when she lost her home due to the usual litany of excuses we hear in rescue... she's a great dog and we love her but moving blah blah, job change blah blah, not enough time blah blah. She arrived extremely overweight, which has been addressed. If you are willing to provide Domino with a forever foster home, you will be rewarded with lots of love from this very special dog in need. Meet Nala! Nala is a sweet girl with lots of energy! She loves to run and play. She loves to play tug. She gets very into it and is very vocal while playing tug. While we are not sure how Nala would do with cats, we do know she does well with older kids. She has also lived with other dogs, but can be choosey with her friends. If you have another dog at home we would strongly recommend a meet and greet with them, to see if they are compatible. Nala does know basic commands and graduated from her beginner training class. It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am.
