Zelda is an absolute sweet heart American Bulldog with a big capacity for love. This mushy, kind girl has been amazingly kind and gentle at the shelter and can’t wait for a fresh start with a family of her own.Zelda came to WARL after her previous home faced housing difficulties that would not allow dogs. Through it all, she has stayed joyful, affectionate, and eager to connect. She melts into people’s arms and has been a favorite with everyone she meets. Zelda is 72 lbs. and is looking to gain a bit of weight, so her new family members should be able to walk her, and handle her on leash. Her previous home describes her as loyal and emotionally intelligent. Zelda`s previous owners reported that she had positive interactions with other dogs. At the shelter, she has been social but pushy and rude in dog greetings. For now, we are looking for a home without other dogs, though we see potential for future canine friendships with dogs of her size. Zelda has no history of with living with children or cats. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a heart of gold, Zelda may be your girl. If you are interested in adopting Zelda, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. There may be other times to schedule an appointment to meet Zelda, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see if we have other availability.

Mona is a 7 year old female American Bulldog looking for a new home. I adopted her 5 years ago from a friend who was moving and could not keep her. I am now in a similar situation and will be moving by the end of January, and must rehome her. Mona is house trained, does great with other animals and people, and is spayed. I would recommend an owner familiar to her breed, an ability to command her, and a somewhat regular feeding and walking schedule. Mona loves nature walks and a cozy spot to nap afterwards. She would probably do best in a quiet neighborhood with a yard to run around in.
