He navigates the world with his heart, his eyes, and an incredible ability to connect. He watches you closely, learns your cues, and bonds in the most intentional, beautiful way. There’s something truly special about the way he trusts. He’s around 6 years old and, if you ask us, 100% perfect. Keller loves everyone he meets and is dog friendly (meet required). I was abandoned by my previous family and left in an apartment for around 2 weeks with no food and only the toilet to drink from. I was found there and brought to the shelter. A foster stepped up to get me out of the shelter and now things are looking up for me! I get to spend time with humans and both big and small dogs. I love everyone! I like to play with other dogs, but sometimes I get a little too excited for the small dogs and scare them when I do my play dance too close to them! My foster family has been working with me on my manners - I am a good boy, but I am doing my best to become the best boy I know I am meant to be! I already know how to sit, and I am currently learning crate training, wait/stay, leash walking, and basic manners. My foster family says I'm improving every day! I don’t really understand personal space because I want to be close to my friends. Some of my favorite things are making friends (both human and dog), chew toys, eating my veggies (like carrots and broccoli), going on walks (even in light rain), and diving for ice cubes in the water bowl. While I do enjoy my foster family, I am looking for my forever home. I want to be a part of a family that needs a big, excited, bundle of love in their lives! Winnie was found in a park in Memphis, emaciated and eating literal trash off the ground just to survive. She was picked up and taken to a high-kill shelter in Memphis. Underweight and with a mass on her side, she had almost no chance of making it out. After only a few days, she was placed on the euthanasia list. Then someone stepped forward for her. Winnie was pulled to safety by Team Memphis Rescue and Support. Before she could travel, she had to recover from a horrible URI. During that time, we learned Winnie is a grumbly, dog-selective girl, and unfortunately the adopter was unable to move forward. She is also not car friendly. But Winnie kept going. She is now fully over her URI, spayed, and had her cyst removed. She has gained weight, found her spark again, and is finally healthy, happy, and ready for the forever family she deserves. Winnie is looking for an adopter willing to give her the chance she never had before.

Meet Venus! Her first week in rescue was 24/7 hospital care on IV liquids, antibiotics, and pain medicine. Her diagnosis included several broken ribs (likely from humans kicking her). We have a strong inkling that Venus somehow escaped from the life of a bait dog for dog fighting which sadly is commonplace in our state. We will not post her original pictures when she was first rescued but if you are interested in adopting her we will gladly share those with you. Venus may be small, but her heart is huge. She’s a 1-year-old pocket pitbull with soft tan fur and the cutest short legs you’ve ever seen. She weighs 29 pounds now which just right for snuggles and will not get any larger. She may gain another 5 or so pounds, but she will always be small. She is currrently on the slow kill method of heartworm treatment. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and thrives in friendly canine company. Cats aren’t her thing, but she makes up for it with loyalty, affection, and the sweetest temperament. Venus is ready to brighten someone’s world. Could it be yours?
