Story
Hi, I’m Brunswick — but you can call me your new best friend. I’m 75 lbs of charm, fluff, and tail wags, with a smile so dazzling it should come with a warning label. I’m about 7 years young and living life like every day is my birthday (except with fewer hats and more belly rubs). I came to the shelter as a stray and needed some medical TLC. The humans here helped me out big time, but the doc says I’ve got something called “high grade mast cell cancer.” Sounds fancy, right? Basically, it means I’ve got limited time — but don’t worry, I haven’t read the prognosis, so I’m still busy living my best life. Right now, I feel great! I love walks, sniffing literally everything, and spreading joy like it’s my job (because it is). I’m not looking for a lifetime — just a heart and a couch to call my own for whatever time I’ve got. Think of me as a limited-edition lovebug: rare, sweet, and worth every second. Let’s make some memories. You bring the snacks, I’ll bring the smiles. Love, Brunswick Available at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257

Story
KENNEL ID #18804 Duck was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no stray hold. Duck is an owner surrender he is housebroken, good with children, other dogs, and cats, knows commands, and is neutered. Duck is a big boy weighing 80lbs. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list. Each has now received full veterinary care and is preparing for a fresh start in PA. Despite their past, these dogs are full of hope and heart. Could this survivor be your new best friend? Duck is hanging out with his rescuer and foster mom, Carol, in Tennessee. If you have any questions, please email her at  abandonedangelsinc@gmail.com . Story
Bandit is the kind of dog who doesn’t just walk into your life—he makes himself at home in your heart. This sweet, easygoing boy has a gentle soul and a calm nature that makes him a joy to be around. Currently fostered in North Carolina, Bandit has become a neighborhood favorite thanks to his love for children—he’s always up for playtime and happily soaks up every ounce of attention. Bandit gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be a great fit for a home with canine siblings. He’s also a dream on a leash, making walks through the neighborhood relaxed and enjoyable. He doesn’t require a fenced-in yard—just a family to love him. While his compatibility with cats is unknown, Bandit’s loving and friendly personality shines through in every interaction. We provide transport to bring him north, and as fosters, we’ll supply everything you need to care for him. Bandit is available to foster or foster-to-adopt. If you’re interested in adopting Bandit, you’ll begin with a two-week foster-to-adopt contract to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone. Story
Charlie is a big-headed, low-riding hunk of a dog who knows how to work a runway—especially when he’s sporting his fashionable male wraps. This 60-pound brindle bundle is packed with personality and charm. Is he housetrained? Well… probably. But Charlie is also known for marking his territory in some creative ways, including on his foster siblings—and occasionally even his foster mom! His foster says it just adds to his “extra” personality. Despite his quirks, Charlie is a total character who will keep you laughing and on your toes. With his unique looks and his confident strut, he’s impossible not to notice. If you’re looking for a dog who’s full of spunk, style, and love, Charlie just might be your guy. Note:  Charlie is currently being treated for heartworms. Please do not let this scare you away. Heartworm is not contagious and is curable. For more information on Heartworm, how we treat it and what it means for an adopter, please email mostlymuttz@gmail.com Charlie is seeking a foster home or a foster-to-adopt home (two week trial period). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER : Lively, Lovely, LaLa, aka Lala-palooza, Lala-pop! PERSONALITY : It's hard to believe that Lala hasn't been snapped up as yet. She's smart and loves everyone she meets. This energetic girl loves fresh veggies, fruit, ice cubes and a vigorous "butt scratch." Have you ever had that friend or relative that overstays their welcome? You know you have. Do not despair as there is a solution. Lala definitely has the bulldog "toots" that are guaranteed to clear out a room (or unwanted guests). Just remember to "breathe through your mouth". :) If you're looking for a dog with the personality of a potato, Lala is not the dog for you; lazy is not in Lala's DNA. If you want a hiking or running companion or a dog (with training) that would excel in lure coursing, agility, fly ball or any other high energy sport, Lala's your girl. Ahhh, if only there were a way to harness all that energy. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Lala is a high energy pup that loves to fetch... though she hasn't quite grasped the idea of releasing yet, she is working on it. Lala is a pup that never passes up the opportunity for a good game of tug of war. MEDICAL ISSUES : None. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : Lala would do best in an active home with a fenced yard where she can run around to her heart’s content and burn some of that high energy off. Lala can quite play rough with other dogs. A home where she the only dog soaking up the attention or a home with another large dog that matches her energy would be best. Kids older than 12 would be best as Lala may knock a smaller child down. Lala would greatly benefit from positive reinforcement obedience classes. Though Lala loves to go for a ride, she does get car sick so best not to feed her before she hops in the car.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Important notes before applying. Approved adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina and Kentucky. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply and legally sign our contract for adoption. Applications must be completed by the homeowner.  We do not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. If you are renting, and you are applying to adopt a dog that is not a giant breed, permission to adopt an animal must be obtained from the landlord or property owner. The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown. A veterinarian has determined the sterilization procedure would harm the intact dog.  We believe in Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior.  Homes with highly varnished steps must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. **We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. &#226&#128&#139Any inside steps to which the dog(s) have access, must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized prior to 12 - 18 months of age.  If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed.  If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  For additional information please review our FAQs or contact mastiffstomutts@gmail.com **Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption that occurs through this organization without disclosure.  We reserve the right to make exceptions for special circumstances. **PA Kennel License: 05845   October 29, 2025, 7:16 pm

Story
Welcome boxer and senior dog lovers! This handsome, salt-and-pepper fellow is Pierre, a 9-year old boxer patiently waiting for someone to love and share his golden years with in his forever home. Pierre is a people-oriented guy and adores his humans. While he is living in a multi-dog foster home and has made several canine friends there, he would very much enjoy being the center of attention as an only dog in his forever home. When he came to the rescue, Pierre was a bit frail and underweight. As his weight, muscle tone, and overall health improved, so did his strength. He is in excellent condition and health for a dog in his season of life. Pierre walks well on leash and also enjoys moderate hikes. He adores a good car ride, snuggles on the couch, or just chilling on the floor while the humans do their thing. Pierre is crate-trained and rests nicely in crate when his foster family is at work. Pierre would benefit from a schedule where he can have pottery breaks during the day. He would be excellent for someone who has a flexible schedule. Pierre is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, is on tick/heartworm preventatives. He had senior bloodwork done before receiving a dental to freshen up that cute mouth of his. Pierre is being fostered in north-eastern Lancaster county/edge of Berks and potential adopters should be willing to travel to meet him. If Pierre sounds like the guy for you, head on over to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application through his profile. Please note: We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder. Kennel license 9117 Reading, Pa 19608
