He is 100% Staffordshire Bull Terrier but is a dwarf with really bad hip displasia. He can only do 1 step and needs non slip floors. He has his own ramp to get up on the sofa. He is crate trained but has done great being left out when his foster is not home. He is on special food. He weighs about 54 lbs. He only goes outside to potty but “walks” are limited to a 5 minute lap around the perimeter of the house due to his weak legs. He is also pretty deaf. Not fully, but pretty severe. He is low maintenance. He sleeps a lot and plays with toys. Chugger likes company but is not a Velcro dog. He is not a fan of the snow/cold. He will need to be leashed to get him to go outside long enough to do his business. Otherwise he pees and runs for the door. He can do a couple of steps to get in the front door but does not do stairs at all. He doesn’t bark much at all. Say hello to Calvin! Mr. Calvin here might be the Calvin to your Hobbes, he's so sweet! Calvin was given up by his finder to our rescue recently but he's in good hands. He instantly warmed up and got along with everyone here as soon as we got him. Calvin is a Beagle mix, he's a bit of a bigger boy with his stubby legs- kind of like a super solid beagle but isn't short. Calvin loves getting attention, he'll bump you with his head so you notice and pay attention to him! He'll need a bit of leash work but is very eager to get to work! That is what people notice most about Calvin, is his eagerness. He will need slow introductions to other people and animals as he can warm up to others slowly sometimes. Bravo is my name, now that indicates two things- either, BRAVO!!! Great dog!! OR, Bravo that comes after Alpha and before Charlie. Phonetically speaking- it could be EITHER! I hail from the great city of Laredo, via the high kill pound they have. I did arrive at the rescue with my buddies Alpha and Charlie. Those two are LONG ago adopted, and I am STILL waiting! You know, it is ok because I need a very very special family and will wait for that family to come along... I am a nervous boy at first so will need a family who will give me time to get comfortable and play, I need a buddy to play with, a happy and outgoing, confident pup or dog. Johanna wants to know if you will be her Valentine. At about 2yrs old, she is a spayed terrier/boxer mix weighing about 60lbs. It's time to start her new life since her momma days are behind her. Johanna is the happiest girl you'll ever meet and her tail wags all day long. Playing it-tag with her foster siblings is one of her favorite things to do. Toys are a new thing to her but she is learning quickly how much fun they can be. She has already learned how to fetch and bring the toy back. Being outside and going for car rides are a few other things she enjoys. Johanna is potty trained and sleeps in her crate. Sitting and giving paw are a couple of commands she knows well. Johanna also loves to cuddle and give kisses to show how much she enjoys your company. While there are cats in her foster home, she is curious about them and will sometimes chase.
