Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting. Charlie was abandoned with another dog on the side of a rural Alabama highway in August 2024. That's how losers unload their responsibilities on society. We didn't have an open foster home and couldn't leave them there so we rescued the dogs and took them to the vet for medical and boarding. Charlie spent 7 weeks at the clinic, then he moved to a foster home in October and he's still there waiting on you! Charlie is estimated 3-4 years old and he is medium size at 55 pounds. He eats 2 cups of food and a few biscuits each day. Charlie lives in a home with a senior couple and 6-8 adults dogs at most times. He's perfectly crate trained and doesn't bother anything in the house when not crated. Charlie enjoys time outside in the yard running the fence with deer and chasing the other dogs in the yard. He has no resource or behavioral issues. He shares antlers and toys. He will bark at any cats he sees in the yard. Charlie is a good boy eager to have a meaningful relationship with his person! Charlie does have a one inch wide scar around most of his neck. A bandanna would look great on him! So many good dogs like Charlie are chained and neglected in the south. He doesn't remember those times. He had no other marks or scars, just his neck. All of our dogs live in Alabama foster homes and transport to New England when they are adopted. If you are approved to adopt one of our dogs, you will speak to the foster family and you can request FaceTime, video or more pictures once your application is approved. This method of long distance adoption works for hundreds of pets every year! We have been sending Dogs and cats to homes for 15 years and strive the make the adoption process as smooth as possible. Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, multiple dewormings, heartworm negative, and he receives monthly parasite prevention. He comes with his records. We pay a transporter for every dog we send to a New England home. We do not own the van or service. Every dog sees a veterinarian before they leave for a health check and health certificate, which also comes with a cost. These costs are built into the total fee. Total adoption fee and investment for this nice dog is discounted $395.00 and includes the transport and health certificate from the vet. $200 adoption fee $195 transport health certificate Serious adopters should fill out the application online and someone will get back to you ASAP. We prefer a vet reference, current or previous, to adopt a puppy. Please call your vet to release information on your account. Story
Pebbles is a loving, loyal companion excited for walks, play, snuggles or simply being with her loved ones. She is an inquisitive, hilarious, goofy princess. This beautiful 65lb sun basking girlie is an adult with puppy energy without puppy woes. Pebbs is remarkably obedient for an American bulldog, taking well to training and structure; she will shake your hand and catch treats (her favorite is crunchy lettuce!!). She walks great on a leash, never had destructive behavior, is perfectly housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and current on shots. Pebbles has lived with kids and other dogs so should adapt well. Due to a rough first home she is an anxious girlie, so she's looking for an experienced parent/home with chill vibes rather than party vibes, but fit to fulfill her exercise needs. (Rehoming due to neglect. I cannot keep her much longer and just want to keep her out of the shelter so please reach out. She is a gem!!)

Story
Meet Frack; she and her brother Frick, also available for adoption on the PAWS New England page, are 13-week-old sweet puppies looking for their own forever homes. After being unexpectedly left with an elderly couple who were unable to care for them, these pups are now ready for a fresh start—one loving family at a time. Frack is a happy, playful puppy with a gentle personality. She rarely barks, enjoys play time, and has done very well on car rides to the vet with no signs of motion sickness. She is confident in her home environment and, because of her young age, has not yet been introduced to public outings or leash walking—giving her future adopter the joy of guiding her through those first experiences. Each puppy would thrive in a home where they can receive individual attention, training, and bonding. Whether you’re looking for a playful companion or a loyal best friend, Frack could be the perfect addition to your family.Name: FrackBreed: American Bulldog/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 13 weeks as of 12/21/25Weight: 15lbs as of 12/21/25Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Scrappie is a big gentle boy with a heart full of love and a coat as unique as his story — mostly white with a few beautiful brindle areas. After being rescued from life on the streets in Mississippi, Scrappie found a loving home in November 2023, where he lived happily with a mom and three older children. Unfortunately, due to major life changes, he is once againlooking for a forever family to call his own.Scrappie absolutely loves people and thrives on companionship. He’s especially good with adults and older kids (ages 10+), but younger children confuse him, so he needs a home without little ones. We have discovered that there are a few things that cause Scrappie to become defensive with other dogs when they’re close up and personal, so he needs to be the only dog in the home. This boy is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. He’s very food motivated, which is great for training! He may be approaching senior status, but still has plenty of energy.Scrappie has come a long way—he used to struggle with separation anxiety, but thanks to a little support (and some temporary medication), he’s now calm when left alone and no longer needs meds.If you’re looking for a big, affectionate companion who’s already done the hard work and justwants to snuggle up and be loved, Scrappie might just be your perfect match. Apply for this sweet boy and see if he’s the missing piece in your home.Name: ScrappieBreed: American Bulldog MixSex: MaleAge: 8 years 4 months as of 10/24/25Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on last testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 10Good with Dogs: He cannot live with another dog, but has no problem seeing other dogs while on walks.Good with cats: NoAdoption Fee: $300.00  Location of dog currently:  ConnecticutIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Story
Rayne is an 18-month-old Bully mix with a heart as big as anything — and she’s looking for her perfect match! This stunning girl is deeply affectionate, smart as a whip, and ready to be someone’s whole world. She loves her people hard. She bonds quickly and will be your faithful shadow, adventure buddy, and snuggle supervisor. She thrives on connection and truly shines in a one-on-one relationship—think of her as the canine version of a ride-or-die best friend. She’s still young and learning, but she’s already making great strides with her training. Rayne is working hard to channel her excitement into good-girl energy. She’s learning to walk nicely on leash and discovering the joys of daily walks. What Rayne needs most is a peaceful, pet-free home where she can be the star of the show. While she coexists calmly on walks and behind baby gates with other dogs, she prefers not to share her living space or her people. Cats and critters? Also a no-thanks from Rayne. But give her consistency and patience, and this girl will give you the most loyal, loving companionship in return. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances and soul-dog connections, Rayne might just be the one you’ve been waiting for.🩵 Only pet however she gets along with dogs just fine outside of her home🩵 Daily walks + continued training = happy Rayne🩵 Devoted, silly, sensitive, and SO worth itLet Rayne bring a little sunshine to your world.Check out her videos: https://youtu.be/1Nt2LZaSlT0?feature=sharedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nt2LZaSlT0https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NTcgKFxM-9wName: RayneBreed: American Bulldog Mix Sex: FemaleAge: 1 1/2 - 2 yearsWeight:45 lbs Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: UntestedGood with Dogs: Yes but should live alone with her humansGood with Cats: No Adoption Fee: $500.00Location of dog currently: New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
