Bowie was found on the side of the road, severely underweight and desperately hungry. During intake, he was so starved that he even tried to eat his dewormer, a heartbreaking reminder of how little he had before being rescued. Bowie is looking for a home without children in an adult only family. He is slowly learning that he never has to fight for his next meal again. Trust is something he’s still learning, but his progress has been remarkable. The gentle tail wags, the cautious steps forward, and the moments when he leans in for comfort show just how hard he is trying. Everyone who spends time with him is moved by his resilience. His sweetness reveals itself more every day, and there is a quiet gratitude in the way he looks at the people who care for him. Bowie is ready for an adult only home that understands that healing takes time and love.
