Story
Rin is a petite brindle beauty, about two years old, with a massive zest for life packed into her small pittie frame. She’s sweet, playful, and fast on her feet—especially when there’s a tennis ball involved! Fetch is her absolute favorite game, and she’ll happily chase after the ball as long as you throw it.This high-energy girl is still very puppyish in her behavior, despite paperwork suggesting she’s closer to 2. Luckily, she settles well in her crate after playtime and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Rin’s love language is touch—she wants to climb into your lap, wrap herself around you, and soak up every ounce of affection.Rin is incredibly social with humans and wants to meet every person she sees. With other dogs, however, she’s still learning her manners. She can be a bit too pushy and insistent, which has led to some altercations with tolerant males she’s been introduced to. With training, structure, and patience, Rin has excellent potential to mature into a more respectful playmate. For now, she may do best as your one-and-only pup while she learns. She is spending two weeks at Gagnon's Pet Resort where she'll learn more about how to be the best dog she can be!!This gal is very smart and she already knows several basic commands. Story
Winnie is a fun-loving Boxer with that classic wiggle butt, goofy grin, and boundless affection for her people. This muscular, energetic girl combines playful puppy vibes with a loyal, loving personality – perfect for active adults seeking a devoted four-legged friend.Winnie excels as an office companion or work-from-home buddy – she’s quiet, settles down quickly, and naps contentedly all day. Her house manners are impeccable: no need for crating, no destructiveness, and fully house-trained with zero accidents. On leash, Winnie walks politely most of the time, but she’s strong and may pull enthusiastically toward exciting sights (a harness is recommended!). Her previous family reports she’s an excellent hiker with reliable recall (especially when using a recall collar), and she absolutely adores water – summers spent swimming and playing on a lake are her happy placeWinnie is wonderfully affectionate with adults and gets along great with kids 12 and older (she’s currently thriving in Rhode Island with some older children). However, no homes with children under 10, babies, or toddlers, please – she once had a resource-guarding incident over a toy with a toddler. So far, she hasn’t meshed well with other dogs, so she would do best as the only pet in a calm, adult-oriented home.If you’re an active person (or couple) looking for a sweet, loyal Boxer to join hikes, lake days, or quiet office hours, Winnie could be your perfect match!Name: WinnieBreed: BoxerSex: FemaleAge: 8 years Weight: 70 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 10 no exceptionsGood with Dogs: Yes is fine w/ dogs but has been an only dog in the home and we feel that is what she is most comfortable with.Good with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $400.00 Location of dog currently:    Rhode IslandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Meet Sarabi – One of Our Mississippi 8!Sarabi is one of eight stunning Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier puppies who traveled from Mississippi and is now stealing hearts in New England. Sarabi is the perfect blend of sweet and smart. She has classic puppy energy: curious, playful, occasionally mouthy, and eager to learn. She already knows “sit” and “leave it,” and she loves a challenge — she’s mastered three treat puzzles so far! Continued training and socialization will help her grow into a confident, well-mannered adult while strengthening the bond with her future family.Since arriving in New England on 11/22, Sarabi has been thriving in her foster home. She adores cuddling with her humans and enthusiastically plays with her older foster dog brother (even when he needs a little convincing). She is also currently living with a cat and has formed a calm, respectful relationship — complete with friendly nose bumpsbefore going their separate ways.Sarabi would do best in a home ready to embrace puppy life, continue her training, and provide plenty of love, structure, and enrichment. She would be a wonderful addition to a family committed to helping her reach her full potential.Watch Sarabi in action:https://youtube.com/shorts/A_WNNSGm0_4?feature=sharedBefore You Apply – Please Read:--Puppies require time, patience, and commitment.--Puppies should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time until they are at least 6months old--Children should be prepared for a wiggly, sometimes nippy baby who needs gentlehandling and structureIf you’re ready for everything puppy life brings, Sarabi is ready to meet you!Breed: Boxer / Pit Bull TerrierAge: 17 weeks as of 11/29Weight: Approx. 25 lbs as of 11/10Spayed/Neutered: Too young — spay contract required and strictly enforcedVaccinations: All puppy vaccines completed, including rabiesHeartworm: Too young for testing (will be tested at 6 months)House-trained: In progress and improving dailyMicrochipped: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $500Current Location: New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Cody’s journey hasn’t been easy, but he is truly thriving. After an early injury, Cody became a tripod—and it turns out, that was just the beginning of his glow-up. He’s doing wonderfully as a three-legged dog and has proven to be resilient, adaptable, and full of heart. In his foster home, Cody is doing great. He’s settled into a comfortable routine, enjoys exploring at his own pace, and loves soaking up sunny naps. Cody is a thoughtful, curious pup who is slowly and steadily getting more comfortable with new people, showing wonderful progress as his confidence grows. He has also made impressive strides with his training and continues to learn every day. As he feels safe and supported, his silly, sweet personality really shines through. Cody is looking for a patient, loving home that will celebrate his strength and cheer him on as he continues to thrive. If you have a soft spot for tripod dogs—or simply believe in second chances—Cody just might be your perfect match. Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting. Charlie was abandoned with another dog on the side of a rural Alabama highway in August 2024. That's how losers unload their responsibilities on society. We didn't have an open foster home and couldn't leave them there so we rescued the dogs and took them to the vet for medical and boarding. Charlie spent 7 weeks at the clinic, then he moved to a foster home in October and he's still there waiting on you! Charlie is estimated 3-4 years old and he is medium size at 55 pounds. He eats 2 cups of food and a few biscuits each day. Charlie lives in a home with a senior couple and 6-8 adults dogs at most times. He's perfectly crate trained and doesn't bother anything in the house when not crated. Charlie enjoys time outside in the yard running the fence with deer and chasing the other dogs in the yard. He has no resource or behavioral issues. He shares antlers and toys. He will bark at any cats he sees in the yard. Charlie is a good boy eager to have a meaningful relationship with his person! Charlie does have a one inch wide scar around most of his neck. A bandanna would look great on him! So many good dogs like Charlie are chained and neglected in the south. He doesn't remember those times. He had no other marks or scars, just his neck. All of our dogs live in Alabama foster homes and transport to New England when they are adopted. If you are approved to adopt one of our dogs, you will speak to the foster family and you can request FaceTime, video or more pictures once your application is approved. This method of long distance adoption works for hundreds of pets every year! We have been sending Dogs and cats to homes for 15 years and strive the make the adoption process as smooth as possible. Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, multiple dewormings, heartworm negative, and he receives monthly parasite prevention. He comes with his records. We pay a transporter for every dog we send to a New England home. We do not own the van or service. Every dog sees a veterinarian before they leave for a health check and health certificate, which also comes with a cost. These costs are built into the total fee. Total adoption fee and investment for this nice dog is discounted $395.00 and includes the transport and health certificate from the vet. $200 adoption fee $195 transport health certificate Serious adopters should fill out the application online and someone will get back to you ASAP. We prefer a vet reference, current or previous, to adopt a puppy. Please call your vet to release information on your account.
