Even though Odie was abandoned by his previous family, he still loves people.  He gets along with other dogs and children.  He is high energy and hasn't learned to meet other dogs.  He can be a bit intimidating to other dogs.  His foster brother is a small 13 yr old rat terrier and Odie loves to sleep with him.  It takes a slow introduction for him to settle down.   If you want a hiking or camping buddy, Odie is your guy.  Playing fetch and tug are also favorite things that he likes.  He would love a family who would treat him like a family member.  .  He has already had his dental and is ready to start his new life as a family member.  If you are interested, please contact Rainbow Rescue at 757-472-1583 or rainbowanimalrescueva@gmail.comNovember 3, 2024, 9:38 am

Meet Nipsey! This special little dude is a staff favorite. Nip Nip as he is affectionately known, would love a nice quiet home with someone that is dog savvy and has patience. His ideal home would be with a single lady looking for love. He is a ladies man for sure. But he is not limited to a single lady home. He is treat motivated but is still learning to take treats nicely. Children would not be best for him while he has had a less than fortunate past. Previously, Nipsey was not given proper medical care. Which caused him to lose a significant amount of weight. He was brought back to us as part of a neglect case. He is learning that food is a positive thing and he will never go hungry again. Nipsey enjoys long walks, snuggling, smiling and TREATS! He is crate trained but he prefers to hangout on his bed while he waits for you at home. If you have another dog in the home we would definitely have to let them meet first to make sure they have like energy and get along. If you are interested in our boy, please ask to meet Nipsey today. He is most likely hanging out in an office, no worries though, we would be happy to bring him out to meet you.

Hunny is a full bred American bully and has AKC paperwork. We got her when she was 3 months old. She is turning 2 in March and needs her last set of shots. She is healthy and energetic. She does ok with other dogs but tries to be the alpha. This does not go well with some dogs. She also is very territorial, she does not like other dogs in her crate or near her treats or food. She is very affectionate and loves being scratched petted or rubbed. She is house trained and knows the commands sit and lay down. She also likes to play fetch. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night and stays in it or her outdoor kennel for 8 hours when we are at work. She has not had any accidents as we have her on a bathroom schedule. She is very smart and learns easily in training with treats. Unfortunately our landlord is not allowing us to keep her because of her breed. We love her and want her to go to a good home. TOAST- 5-8 Years Old, Good with larger dogs, No cats, No small dogs, No young kids.  HOSPICE LYMPHOMA  Toast is looking for a hospice home to live out the rest of her days comfortably.  Toast has lymphoma and walks a little wonky, with this, she will need a home with no stairs, with her being ouchy, we also recommend no small kids.  She has shown to have a strong prey drive so no small dogs or cats, or any small animals.  She is super loving, stocky girl. We purchased Zoe from a breeder as a puppy from sugar Plum bulldogs. We purchased her during Covid. She’s five years old. The puppy as a puppy, we were not able to socialize her during Covid so she’s not very friendly to a lot of people. But she’s never bitten anyone, but she can be aggressive. Other than that, she’s pretty mellow she loves to eat and she loves to sleep. She loves car rides. She loves her big fluffy pillow. She loves laying in the sun outside. She loves snacks. All of her records are up-to-date. We have all of her documents. We’re looking for a loving home experience with an experienced dog owner that can work with her and be patient with her. I love her.

Kilo arrived with quiet confidence and immediately made himself at home. He came to us as an owner surrender - his people were young, inexperienced, and trying to navigate a situation that felt bigger than they were at the time. They loved him, and they made the responsible choice to ask for help. Kilo doesn’t carry that history heavily. He’s very much living in the present.Because he needed care sooner rather than later, Kilo was seen by the vet shortly after arriving. His skin issues have improved significantly, his ears were addressed, and he’s now neutered. He’s feeling better, looking better, and clearly aware that life is moving in the right direction. He’s also on a special diet for his skin - one he enjoys - and has already started filling out nicely.While at the vet, Kilo met a little girl in the waiting room who was playing with a basket of toys. When one tumbled onto the floor, Kilo stared at it with deep seriousness, completely baffled by this small object that had suddenly appeared. He studied it. Then he looked at the child. Then back at the toy, as if hoping someone might explain the situation. He didn’t react so much as contemplate. What Kilo may lack in IQ, he more than makes up for in charm.Kilo is a two-year-old English Bulldog with a rare ability to slow everything down. He adores people, is endlessly content just being nearby, and rides beautifully in the car. When it’s time to get out, he skips the careful step-down and launches himself straight out, all four paws at once, like a very determined bulldog version of Superman.There’s something steady and reassuring about Kilo. He doesn’t demand attention, but he values it. He seems grateful for time, touch, and the next small adventure. Wherever Kilo goes, people fall for him - it’s almost unavoidable.Come meet Kilo and see what calm confidence looks like.
