Look no further—Zeus just might be your guy. This 65 lb goofball is all muscle and all love. He’s sweet, affectionate, and always ready for a cuddle or a lazy nap after a walk outside, where he loves to just sit and watch the world go by. Zeus isn’t meant for a dainty life. He’s looking for a home that embraces his “bull in a china shop” energy and understands he doesn’t always know his own strength. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home without young kids. He’s also a bit too much for most other pets, so Zeus would love to be your one and only—and trust us, he’s got plenty of love to give! Zeus has some vet anxiety and isn’t a fan of being restrained, but he’s made huge progress and just needs someone willing to take things slow and earn his trust. If you’re ready for a goofy, snuggly, loyal best friend who will keep you laughing every single day, adopt Zeus! Story
Apollo is an energetic 1 year old American Bully. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. He’s up to date on shots and healthy. He’s potty trained, house trained, and crate trained. Apollo knows several commands.. come, sit, stay, lay down, bed, etc and is a very quick learner. He loves all the pets, love, and attention you will give him. Apollo plays well with other dogs but hasn’t been around cats. Apollo does well with children but would do better in a home without small children as he’s still learning boundaries in terms of his size (jumping when excited). Apollo is such a good boy.. extremely loving and loyal and would thrive with a family who can give him all the love and attention he deserves. Unfortunately, our home and work situations changed drastically and very quickly, so it’s been difficult finding that balance to be able to give Apollo the attention he needs and deserves. He loves going on walks and playing fetch and does extremely well off leash as well as on leash.

Story
Hi… my name is Peta 💔 I don’t really know where to start, but I’ve been waiting a long time for someone to hear me. For most of my life, I didn’t know what it felt like to be loved. I lived outside on a chain with other dogs, no soft bed, no kind hands… just surviving. I was used to have puppies over and over, but no one ever made me feel like I mattered. Then one day, everything almost ended. I was in a shelter, scared and alone, and I was so close to not making it out. But someone saw me… and saved me. I thought that meant my life was finally going to begin. But I’m still waiting. It’s been over a year now, watching other dogs find their families while I stay behind. I don’t understand why no one picks me. I promise I’m trying so hard to be the best girl. Because the truth is… I love people. More than anything. I will snuggle right up next to you like I’ve known you forever. I’ll cover you in kisses if you let me. And belly rubs? Oh my goodness… those are my favorite thing in the whole world. I’ll roll over and wiggle just to make you smile. I’m a little goofy like that. I do really well with bigger kids, and I would love a family to laugh and play with. I’d do best as your one and only dog—but I promise, I have more than enough love, silliness, and loyalty to fill your whole heart all by myself. I know I didn’t have the best beginning… but I’m ready for my happy ending. I’m not broken. I’m just waiting. Waiting for someone to see me… to choose me… to give me the chance I’ve never had. Could that someone be you? 🐾 I am two and a half years old, vetted, spayed, and heartworm negative. I’m being fostered in Clayton, NC but can be transported to other locations. Please note, there may be a transport fee if volunteer transport cannot be found.

Story
Hi, I’m Layla Roxanne, a seven‑year‑old, roughly 55‑pound girl with a smile so bright it can change the whole mood of a room. I may be grown, but I’m still very much a puppy at heart—playful, expressive, and full of personality. I’m a talker, too, and apparently it’s pretty funny because everyone who hears me says I crack them up. I also love rolling onto my back to wiggle around and playing with tennis balls, which always seems to make people laugh even more. And that smile of mine? People say it’s contagious, the kind that makes you feel like everything is right in the world. I like to be honest about my quirks, so here’s one: the crate and I have a complicated relationship. I’ll go in and out on my own terms, but once I’m inside, I really prefer to be left alone. I’m also not good with other dogs, and I’m not a match for homes with kids or cats. I do best with someone who understands my boundaries and appreciates me for exactly who I am. I’m up to date on my shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. I know my basic commands, and I’m doing well on the leash with a little guidance. I’m fully potty trained and ready to settle into a home where I can shine. I’m looking for an experienced bully‑breed adopter who understands my quirks, respects my space, and loves my big heart. I’m being fostered in Hampton, VA, but I can be transported to other locations for the right home. If you think we might be the perfect match, please apply to adopt me.

Story
Hello, I’m Hazel, an American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a big smile. I’m a playful and sweet girl who loves to have fun and cuddle with my people. I’m house and crate trained. I get so excited to go for walks, and I’m very strong which means I can pull hard. I need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners. I’m good with other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you'd like. I have a lot of energy and I like to run around and play with balls. Because of my size, any kids in the home would have to be older (over 10). But I also like to relax and nap in my own space. I have a large kennel where I feel comfortable and safe. I don’t like to be outdoors for too long and prefer to be inside with my people. I’m afraid of being abandoned, so I don’t like to go far from home or my people. I have some digestive issues, so I need a special diet of lamb and rice. I also need to be crated when I’m not supervised, because I can chew on things. I’m a big girl, about 77 pounds, and I can be clumsy sometimes. But if you are used to large dogs, you will love me. I’m a gentle giant who just wants to be loved. I have a lot of potential and I’m ready to show you what a great dog I can be. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m being fostered in New Kent, VA but I can be transported to other states for the right home. A transport fee may apply. If you think you are the one for me, please fill out an application and let’s meet. Must be at least 21 years old to apply. I can’t wait to see you!

Story
Meet Nipsey, a special little guy with a big heart. This staff favorite is looking for a calm, patient home with someone who understands dogs and will respect his boundaries. Nipsey has come a long way after a difficult past and is learning that he is safe, loved, and will always have a full belly. He loves long walks, cozy snuggles, treats, and flashing his adorable smile. Nipsey does resource guard his food and toys, so it’s very important to respect his boundaries and not try to take these items when he is near them. He would do best in a quiet home without young children, and any resident dogs should meet him first. He has done wonderfully in foster care and thrives in a home where he can feel secure. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, Nipsey just might be your perfect match.
