She came to us in pretty rough shape. But in her 180 days with us, Cinderella has been transformed. And now we need your help to finish the best part of her story.Cinderella came to us with two very large cherry eyes. Her skin was a mess. And she would get a bit too interested in some of the other dogs, specifically, the smaller dogs.She had surgery on her eyes and they look amazing. Her skin is glowing - it is just beautiful now. And, thanks to a volunteer taking her home for an extended period of time, she has been calmer around other dogs and she was the perfect house guest.So now we need to give this 7-year-old girl the best possible ending for the rest of her amazing years. She needs a home where she is the only star there. She is good with kids, but she is also built low and gets exited, so older kids would work best with her.When she was in a home with our volunteer, her favorite thing to do was lay on her bed, on her back, and scooch all over the place. If she has a stuffed Kong, she is in heaven. She truly has the sweetest disposition and she just adores being with people. She loves car rides and she is a champ at the vet.If you are looking for a very loyal companion, who will think you hung the moon, please come meet Cinderella. Hi there, I'm Jace, a white and brown bulldog mix. I'm 55 pounds and as sweet as ever. I love nothing more than to snuggle up next to somebody and get belly rubs and head scratches. I'm also smart and have been working on sit, down, and leave it. I could learn more commands as I'm a motivated learner. Anything for a treat! My favorite toys include a Kong filled with kibble or peanut butter, bones, and stuffed animals. I like to play fetch (although I don’t always want to give the ball back) and tug of war! I would do great as somebody’s best friend. I like to follow you around the house and chill with you. I’m a goober! I don’t quite understand my size and will try to sit directly in your lap just to be close. I'm potty and crate trained and walk great on the leash. I'm not good with dogs, likely out of fear rather than true aggression. I was chained in a yard for most of my life before I was rescued. I was nothing but skin and bones from starvation which has now caused me to guard my food. I love cats except if they come around my food. One side of my face will never fill in due to what the vet thinks is an old injury, but that doesn't stop me from being a cuddly lover. I am neutered and vaccinated. I was heartworm positive, but I've completed treatment. I'm currently in Hampton, VA but I can be transported out of state for the right home. Please note, there may be a transport fee if volunteer transport cannot be arranged. If you're looking for a loving companion, I'm here for you!

Hi, I’m Layla Roxanne, a seven‑year‑old, roughly 55‑pound girl with a smile so bright it can change the whole mood of a room. I may be grown, but I’m still very much a puppy at heart—playful, expressive, and full of personality. I’m a talker, too, and apparently it’s pretty funny because everyone who hears me says I crack them up. I also love rolling onto my back to wiggle around and playing with tennis balls, which always seems to make people laugh even more. And that smile of mine? People say it’s contagious, the kind that makes you feel like everything is right in the world. I like to be honest about my quirks, so here’s one: the crate and I have a complicated relationship. I’ll go in and out on my own terms, but once I’m inside, I really prefer to be left alone. I’m also not good with other dogs, and I’m not a match for homes with kids or cats. I do best with someone who understands my boundaries and appreciates me for exactly who I am. I’m up to date on my shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
