Unfortunately due to some unexpected changes in my person's life, including the loss of a backyard for me, he has had to make the diffcult decision to find a new home for me. For a young dog, I am well socialized and have been professionally trained in obedience skills and tricks. My person says that I did very well at daycare and that I am a sweet loving boy, adored by all! My training also extends to the proper manners, waiting for my food, walking well on leash and being crate trained. My favourite pastimes are swimming, hiking, car rides, fetching sticks and playing tug of war. For a young pup, I have a clean bill of heath and had all my shots and deworming. I am learning life is joyful, not scary. I am coming out of my shell and curious about things going on about me. Hoping we can have some fun times together enjoying what life has in store for us.As my story goes, I was surrendered pregnant to the Roswell shelter by a man on 4/3/25 and gave birth to three puppies the next day. My sister was also surrendered the same day as me. We both ended up being pulled by another rescue, but in very different ways. I and my three puppies were immediately taken into a foster home. The shelter only gives dogs 14 days for adoption, and so my sis was scheduled to be killed. Thankfully my foster parents agreed to take her at the last minute too and so she came to their house on the 18th.Unfortunately, I lost all three of my babies to Distemper, something my rescuers think I never got over. Since that time though, I have made huge strides in becoming less shut down. At my foster's house, I have started playing with other dogs, something I love! I seem more comfortable with people, especially men. On 8/9, I was moved to new a new foster home to see if that would help more (it has!) My family has lovingly taken to calling me Ebbie. Heehee.I am relaxed around both my new parents and will lay on the couch with either of them, although I can still hide from them too. I am absolutely 100% fine with their two dogs, as well as my own sister. While still extremely cautious around people, especially during times of transition, i.e., when people are moving around, once I get settled in with my new family, that should peter off, as I realize I am home forever.Being leash trained, I enjoy walks with my sister and one or both of my foster siblings.  I can get distracted by other dogs out walking, but not aggressive or bark-y while on leash. Just a spirited walker.Housetraining? No problem. I've had no accidents, even with the Elizabethan cone after spaying.  Mastering the dog door came very quickly on the same day I arrived. While it is a bit early yet, my fosters say I appear quite trainable and smart too. Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: yes.Cats: Unknown (Previous foster reports yes, but no vid.)Kids: yes. Meet Flais! This gentle fella was abandoned outside our rescuer's foster home in Zapapoa so we don't know much about the first few months of his life.  He did arrive with several wounds, likely from other street dogs. He's had time to heal and recover from his frightening past on the street, and has received full Vet care including catching up on vaccinations and being neutered.  He's all set and ready for adoption.   There's nothing about this guy that even hints at his rough past; he delights in any kind of human attention and gets along well with all the other pups at the shelter.  Good with kids, he'd suit a family environment where he'd revel in any and all adventures and be just as happy to cuddle quiet evenings away with his people.  He doesn't seem to want to make friends with kitties tho, so it's best he be placed in a non-kitty household! Who doesn't love a house hippo!  Samoa is a beautiful girl with a silky chocolate coat, and deep eyes that refect both strength and tenderness. Somoa is one of those rare dogs that can win you over immediately. Somoa is 37.5 lbs, 42 cm high and 44 cm length Samoa was rescued from the streets outside one of our foster homes, she had been living on the streets for some time. This poor girl was likely dumped and left to her own devices had litter after litter of puppies, until one day while being chased by a pack of dogs fate intervened and this little girl was rescued. Samoa is gentle, noble and calm. She is a grateful girl who with one look in her eyes knows she was saved. Those eyes show many stories...... Samoa loves company, gentle pets and she is learning the joy of a cuddle. Her face reflects the spirit of a fighter who knows she now has peace and safety and the hope of a forever home.
