THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.  Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Mike at Mike_kossowski@hotmail.com  for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the adorable Auggie and here's some information about me:Breed: Pitbull/Malinois brindle mixAge: ~ 1  1/2 yrsGender: MaleWeight: ~ 75 lbsHeight: (ground to shoulder) 24 inches I was saved last year August from a sketchy situation at a breeder, at ~ 3 months old. Even though I was the runt of the litter, I showed the most love and affection to my adopter and immediately won him over. Unfortunately due to some unexpected changes in my person's life, including the loss of a backyard for me, he has had to make the diffcult decision to find a new home for me. For a young dog, I am well socialized and have been professionally trained in obedience skills and tricks. My person says that I did very well at daycare and that I am a sweet loving boy, adored by all! My training also extends to the proper manners, waiting for my food, walking well on leash and being crate trained. My favourite pastimes are swimming, hiking, car rides, fetching sticks and playing tug of war. For a young pup, I have a clean bill of heath and had all my shots and deworming. An adoption fee of $100 applies. https://youtube.com/shorts/xvv1K0rTP8k THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. Story
Greetings, my name is Debbie and here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Pitbull mixAge:  2 1/2 yearsGender:  FemaleWeight:  50 lbsHeight: 20 inchesCountry of Origin: US, New MexicoHighlights: Curious, intelligent, cautious, loving, affectionate, playful A sweet, resilient soul who has found her joy again and is ready to share it with a forever family. My journey began in a shelter in April 2025, where my three puppies were born just a day after I was surrendered. Losing them to Distemper broke my heart, but my resilience helped me move forward. Once "shut down" and terrified, those days are now in the past. Currently fostering with my sister has been a huge boost, and life is finally starting to feel joyful instead of scary! Curiosity is replacing fear every day! I’m a relaxed girl who loves lounging on the couch, though some shyness remains. During outings, I’m a spirited walker, calm and non-reactive even when spotting other dogs. While quick movements can still trigger caution, a steady routine helps those fears fade away. Playing with other dogs is now my favorite thing in the world! A patient family is essential for my initial transition, especially one with other dog siblings to keep my confidence high. I have a special bond with men and a very social spirit. Once I realize that "forever" means forever, my affectionate nature will truly take over. Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: yes.Cats: Unknown (Previous foster reports yes, but no video proof)Kids: yes. Fears: Nothing specific observed. Still extremely cautious around people during times of change. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home.Commands: In the very early stages of learning "sit" and "come." Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered & vaccinated. Not yet microchipped, but will be prior to adoption. 4DX testing. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation close to the Border of Canada and the US. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2512642##

Greetings kind folks. Look no further, cuz here I am, The Budster.Saved from euthanasia at the animal control facility, my rescuers got to me just in time to save this Bud's life.I am a sweet pittie who loves attention and gets along with other dogs. While I do start out shy and it takes a little time to warm up to people, once I get there, oh boy. My rescuers think I would acclimate more quickly in a home with another dog, but I would also be okay with patient people who are ready to help me build my confidence and feel safe.I am playful with other dogs, and have done well with both males and females. They say "this guy is a gem and will be an incredible, loyal companion for the person or people who earn my trust." They don’t know why I haven’t been adopted yet, because I am so wonderful - they figure maybe I am meant to be a Canadian? Grin!Debonair, gentlemanly, loyal and ready to be a lifelong companion. Don't my cute markings just make you want to laugh? Not quite the full ring spot on the eye like Petey in Little Rascals, but still a neat marking. Story
Meet Flais! This gentle fella was abandoned outside our rescuer's foster home in Zapapoa so we don't know much about the first few months of his life.  He did arrive with several wounds, likely from other street dogs. He's had time to heal and recover from his frightening past on the street, and has received full Vet care including catching up on vaccinations and being neutered.  He's all set and ready for adoption.   There's nothing about this guy that even hints at his rough past; he delights in any kind of human attention and gets along well with all the other pups at the shelter.  Good with kids, he'd suit a family environment where he'd revel in any and all adventures and be just as happy to cuddle quiet evenings away with his people.  He doesn't seem to want to make friends with kitties tho, so it's best he be placed in a non-kitty household! Will you be the one to give this gentle fella the love and stability he deserves?  He will pay you back in unyielding loyalty, never ending cuddles and companionship! VETTING: Fully vaccinated Neutered/Spayed Dewormed SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma) Flea/tick/heartworm prevention No known medical issues or injuries PLEASE NOTE: Flais is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2301417##

Story
Who doesn't love a house hippo!  Samoa is a beautiful girl with a silky chocolate coat, and deep eyes that refect both strength and tenderness. Somoa is 37.5 lbs, 42 cm high and 44 cm length Samoa was rescued from the streets outside one of our foster homes, she had been living on the streets for some time. Story
Hiya! My name is LUCKY and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed:  Pittie / Shar Pei (??) mix Age:  3 years old (approx.) Gender:  Female Weight:  63.8 lbs (29 kg)  Height:  65 cm (paws to top of my head) Length:  83 cm (head to butt) Neck:  45 cm Chest:  74 cm Current Location: MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY - I was found at the Mexico City Airport when the rescue team was there sending another pup to Canada. I was wandering in and out of the airport when my rescuers saw me. They put a crate on the floor for me and I walked right inside! It is believed that I once had a home because I already know how to walk on leash. I have been living at the shelter since August 2024 and am so ready to find my forever home!  TEMPERAMENT - I am a super sweet, loving, and playful girl. You can see from my photos that I love affection - look at the pure joy and happiness in my eyes! I enjoy playing ball and loveee toys (everything from stuffies to bones). I love to go on long walks with the volunteers at the shelter. After my walks, I like to nudge or "knock" at the door to come back inside and eat some food. I am playful and affectionate, even with strangers. I love to get pets and belly rubs (video)! I am friendly with other dogs at the shelter (my BFF is a male shnauzer mix named Stefano)-- we sleep in a kennel together at night. PS. I love carrots!! ENERGY LEVEL - Medium to High - I enjoy play time and lots of walkies with my trusted hoomans! Exercise is a must for me!  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. I haven’t had much exposure to kiddos so far at the shelter.  Dogs –  Yes! I have lots of pals at the shelter, and enjoy walking and the dog park with my fellow doggos!  Cats – No thank you!  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Good/Fair. I love any chance to go on a walk! Although I follow basic commands, it's important to remember that I am a BIG, strong girl! So I need a confident owner who is capable of walking a strong doggo. My skills will need some polishing up when I am adopted. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: When I was rescued, I had very low bodyweight and was malnourished. I also had a case of Mange (skin condition). I received proper vet care and have fully recovered! I originally ate ROyal Canin food to help me gain weight, but now I have transitioned over to the shelter regular diet (which also includes daily veggies!) I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2240439##
