Shadow is a wonderful Velcro girl who has the worst FOMO and forgets to chew in her excitement to eat. She's had her one and only litter of babies at only 1 year old. She's now a big, happy, puppy! Completely housebroke, wonderful on leash, she does need a slow introduction to new people, whether your kid's friends, your family or a biweekly cleaner. She's very scared of new people but once she decides you're hers, she will stick to you like glue. She's great with other dogs, cats, and with older, gentle and responsible kids who allow her to come to them. She will glom onto them as well!! Younger children would be way too scary for her. If you have a heart for a surprisingly trusting furry friend who had a rough start and needs lots of socialization training and love, you won't go wrong with this sweet girl. per her foster family..... If our dog was amenable, we would keep her...she's that awesome! She will be your best gal for her whole life.

~~ Foster Needed or even better **FOREVER HOME** ~~ Meet Julie! Julie is a super sweet 10-month-old, 38-lb pittie who loves to play and cuddle. She is always up for a walk, a round of tug-of-war, or a romp with friends her size or bigger. When playtime is over, Julie is happy to laze around the house, relax in the sunshine, or cuddle up with her humans, but be ready… she has serious boundary issues and will happily take up your whole lap if you let her! Julie had a rough start to life that caused some issues with her GI tract. She is currently on a prescription diet and medication to help her heal and gain weight. None of this slows her down, though. She is a happy, energetic girl! Being a youngster, Julie is learning new things all the time. She is very treat-motivated and wants to please, which is a great plus for training. She is fully house-trained and will signal that she has to go outside by sitting at the door. She also quickly mastered the dog door in her foster home! If you love spending time in the outdoors, Julie will make a great companion. She is good on leash, is very curious and is always up for new adventures. Need to go out for a bit? No problem. Julie is quite content to hang out in her crate with her favorite toy and bone. If you want to take her with you, though, she loves car rides and will gladly wait in the back seat while you’re running your errands. A good guard dog, Julie barks at unfamiliar sounds but not excessively. She is wary of new people and may growl or lunge when scared, so slow introductions are crucial. She will benefit from some focused training to overcome her fear. Due to Julie’s fear and energy level, a family with older, dog-savvy children or no children will be best for her. She will chase cats and small dogs so proper introduction and training will be necessary if either is in the home. Gaining Julie’s trust may take a couple of days but once you have it, her personality shines and she quickly becomes your best friend. She is a super sweet pup who wants nothing more than to be loved and be with her humans. Julie is available for adoption through the Alternative Humane Society. Phoebe is an amazing girl but is shy at first when meeting new people. Once she gets to know you she is a spunky, athletic girl who is super affectionate and loves to snuggle/pretzel herself around her owner at night. She is super soft, so cuddling with her is one of my biggest joys. She is a high-energy dog, which would be best suited for someone with an already active lifestyle. She is an excellent hiking/running partner. She gets nervous around loud noises, so a busy city apartment, or an environment with loud machinery would not benefit her. She would also have to be an only pet and can’t be around small children. She is great off-leash and has a good recall. She sometimes does this thing where she “scouts” the area in front of you to make sure it’s safe. Phoebe’s smart and funny and loves goofing around with her owner on the carpet. She also loves her “Chuck-it” and playing fetch. However, she is not good playing with dogs at the dog park and she will get reactive if other dogs try and steal her toy. Phoebe has no problem greeting other dogs on hikes however. I’m also interested in a co-parent/open-adoption kind of situation, if the circumstances allow it. For example, if the person who wants to take her in doesn’t have enough time for walks, I could come and take her on hikes. Or if someone could only take her temporarily, that is also an option. ##2006754##

He just needs slow introductions and time to warm up. He needs time to slowly check them out then he’ll be your BFF and instant playmate. This boy is truly a loyal king. Once he earns your trust he will be your BFF FOREVER! This big hunk of love would do best in a home with no cats. He was a little too interested in the cats at his last foster home and tried to chase them. He was only trying to incite play and looking to have some fun! He has learned to sit and stay! He loves to play fetch and his favorite toy is anything that squeaks. He has learned to potty in the same place in the yard each time at his foster moms house. He is very treat motivated so continued training should be a piece of cake! He’s such a smart boy! He doesn’t jump and has a soft mouth. Saint Remy does great on a leash and would love to accompany his new person/family on walks and hikes. He also rides well in the car. He sits, lays, or watches out the window. At times he gets up and sneaks up for a kiss. He would love a fenced in yard where he can roam and fetch a ball! Even if it’s just him tossing the ball to himself! We believe Remy would do well in a home with another dog that matches his energy but he can certainly be the center of attention and the only dog. He has lived with large males both playful and more calm. He loves to romp around and share his toys. He has always been the submissive one of the bunch. He isn’t a vocal boy so living in a condo/townhome environment would be fine as long as he receives plenty of toys and gets that much needed time to bask in the sun and daily walks (more like strolls).
