Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Playful, goofy and friendly 1 year old male pit mix. Meet Simon, a Baja rescue dog with a great story! Simon was rescued after being hit by a car in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. He had lost the use of his back legs, but was still smiling his happy smile at everyone he met! Thanks to great vet care, physical therapy and loving fosters, Simon has regained the use of his legs and now runs around happily playing and greeting everyone he meets.  The vet believes the collision caused temporary paralysis which is now resolved. Simon is a big goofball who loves to play, gets along with other dogs, is housebroken, loves people and has loads of personality. He will do well in a home that can get him plenty of exercise and playtime.  He is still very much a puppy at heart and still learning his manners, but walks well on leash and has learned to Sit for treats! Simon would do well in an active home where he can get the exercise he needs, probably not with small children or cats, but he gets along well with female dogs. Simon is fully vaccinated, sterilized, healthy and ready to find his forever humans! Simon is currently being fostered in La Paz, BCS, but is available for video meet and greets and can be transported anywhere on the US West Coast or Canada. Be sure to watch the video below of Simon to get a feel for his goofy personality! Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over. At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 28 pounds. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

If you'd like to adopt me, please contact my foster mommy. Coffee comes spayed, dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped. Application, phone interview and home check required for adoption.

Story
**Courtesy Post**** Located in La Mesa (San Diego) Nova is a loving dog who loves to relax and cuddle or run around and play. She loves to be outside and sunbathe when she can. She is great with kids/people and loves to be in the middle of everything. She is house trained and knows to not get on furniture unless told too. She is potty trained. She eats twice a day and is not reactive/aggressive with food. Nova loves her bath and never gives a hard time. Nova is very dog reactive due to her past abuse. She has been reactive with one dog since owning her. She has gone to 3 week training in 2019, which taught her how to be controlled on the leash while walking. She has never been around another dog since her incident to see how she is with dogs now. If interested please contact Alyssa alyssa.sorbellini@gmail.com (845) 705-8266April 25, 2024, 5:29 pm

Story
Buddy came to our rescue after suddenly losing his owner who was an elder man. His owner was suddenly hospitalized and diagnosed with dementia. Neighbors reached out to us because they had known Buddy all his life and he would play with their dogs and wanted for him to find another home. We picked him up from the Humane Society and is now living with our trainer. Our trainer is currently helping him decompress from being at the Humane Society and is a very happy boy. So far we know he's very sweet and warms up quickly to anyone.April 25, 2024, 5:29 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! Luna greets everyone she meets with tail wags and happy wiggles. She is 3 years old and weighs 38lbs. Luna has met adults and children of all ages. She loves leash walks and really enjoys doing zoomies in the yard. Luna made friends with every dog she met on her walks, even the neighborhood grouch. She loves to play and can be a little too much play for the littles so a bigger pup to rough house with would be best. Luna learned crate training and quietly sleeps through the night. She gives a huffing throat clear and stands by the door when she needs to go out. Luna loves her food and will happily work for treats. She enjoys cuddling on the couch with people and dogs, enjoys scratches, and generously shares face licks.  CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR LUNA! Story
My journey began several years ago when I was running scared.  I covered a lot of ground, hopped some freeways, visited a university and jumped into a yard where someone ignored me until I could be caught.  I was scared and scarred.  My skin showed years of neglect with flea rash and irritation.  I was underweight and terrified of being touched or around people.  No one came for me at the shelter and I was doomed to death.  Once exited by my capture team, It did not take long before I realized my life had changed and people meant food, massage and toys.  I have spent the last FOUR years living in a kennel at the rescue facility.  I am not good with dogs but am now great with people, adventures outdoors, on leash AND house trained.  No longer a youngster, I am now a senior girl.  I would love nothing more than to find a place to enjoy the creature comforts in a foster or adoptive home rather than limited time with volunteers and at rescue outings.  Could that be you? Things to know about me - - I am the resident toy hoarder of the house. I patiently wait for all of the Nylabones to be hosed into my kennel during cleaning, so I can play with them all -food puzzle PRO! -don’t let the age fool you, this girl has energy for days! -walks well on leash, until a lizard or animal walks by then off to the races I go! Flight Risk: do not leave unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures. Story
Lilah is one of our longer residence with the rescue due to her high energy, zest for life and needing to be an only dog. This girl is ready for whatever life has to offer with her "can-do" attitude and willing to just go with the flow. She is quickly becoing one of our "Pit Crew" volunteer favorites during Pack Walks becasue shes willing to run, walk, stroll and sprint at whatever speed you choose. She has super soft hair and eyes that look deep into your soul.    Flight risk: do not leave unattended in a yard, can never be off-leash in an unfenced in area, crate training is a must when gone, and tight grip of the leash on adventures is a must. ##1342035##

Story
Luka is a healthy 3 year old Pitbull. He is very active and has a lot of love to give. My father got him when he was a puppy from a family that could no longer keep them in their apartment. My father, the main owner's health is declining and I am physically disabled, and am a wheelchair user, so we are unable to keep him. He does need house training, but he follows simple commands well. He is friendly with dogs in general but can play too rough with other dogs his size. He has a quirky and fun personality and loves to lean his upper body on everything. He's been an outside dog and usually uses the bathroom whenever he is taken out on a walk. For toys and treats, he doesn't have any specific tastes; he will play with and eat whatever you give him. For brand new people/strangers, he can react very energetically and will try to jump on and lick them.

Story
Bonnie was discovered chained to a fence in Tijuana. As result of this neglect, she suffered from injuries and pressure sores. Her mouth was severely infected, and she was shamefully undernourished. We had her evaluated by one of our veterinarian partners who provided the initial care required to improve her health and wellbeing. She was fostered in Tijuana by the same veterinarian, under close supervision, until she was well enough to come to her foster in the San Diego. She is excellent with other dogs, cats, and people. She is beyond sweet despite her start in life. She is looking for a furever home who will shower her with kindness and love! ##1866223##
