Story
This is Guinness! He is a 5 year old pit bull mix looking for a quiet forever home! Guinness is a very sweet boy, loves to cuddle, and is neutral with cats. He absolutely LOVES toys, and will be rehomed with all of his favorite ones (which is quite a few)! If you enjoy an evening in with a large lap dog, he is the perfect buddy for you! Grab a good snack and drink, put on a movie and it'll be his perfect night. He is crate trained and housebroken as well, and goes in his crate with no issue at night to snuggle up with his blankets. He is a bit of an anxious boy, so he has been taking medication prescribed from the vet to help, and would love a home that is calm! All vet records will be transferred over once the adoption is completed. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He would do best in a home as the only dog, as he gets nervous around other male dogs. We are asking a rehoming fee to ensure that he goes to a good home!

Story
We adopted Pinto (formerly Stanley) from the Brandywine Valley SPCA in 2022. He was born on 08/02/2022. He is a mixed breed, mostly white dog who is deaf. He loves to play, chew on sticks, and be outdoors. He gets along well with our other dog. He does not seem bothered by cats but ours do not do well with him. He does well walking on a leash and enjoys going for long walks at parks. He does have a microchip and has been neutered. He is up to date on shots. He eats dry food and enjoys chewing on bones. He has not had any training by us. Pinto is a very sweet dog who needs a space to run and play. He loves attention. We will provide new owner with any paperwork we have on him as well as any supplies/food we have, including a crate.

Story
Pepe’s story is one of resilience, healing, and heart. This charming 7-year-old has become a true standout at the shelter with his perfect mix of maturity, playfulness, and gentle spirit. Whether he is sprinting with Willow, wrestling with Esmeralda and Hazel, or cuddling up with Shyla, Pepe shines in our doggy playgroups and has earned the title of Rockstar for how easily he gets along with others. Pepe is calm and well-mannered in his kennel, walks beautifully on a leash, and is always ready for affection. He was even a star guest during our recent slumber party. But beyond his sweet and social personality, Pepe’s journey speaks to the importance of healing and second chances. He came to us as a stray, underweight and suffering from skin issues. Thanks to the support of a loving foster home, Pepe is now getting the individualized care he needs. He is gaining weight, his skin is improving, and he is thriving with daily walks, cozy naps, and the companionship of people who care. His foster reports that he is wonderful with everyone including cats, dogs, and children. Pepe’s Best Qualities ✔️ Friendly and playful with other dogs — a true playgroup pro ✔️ Calm, quiet, and well-mannered in the home ✔️ Great on the leash and loves his walks ✔️ Affectionate and people-loving ✔️ While in foster care, he has shown to be good with kids, other dogs, and cats Fostering gave Pepe the quiet space and support he needed to begin healing. He is doing better every day and is now ready for the next step a foster-to-adopt or a second home where he can continue to thrive. Meet Dusky – The One-and-Only Best Friend You’ve Been Waiting For 4-Year-Old · 72 lbs · Neutered Male · Pit Bull Terrier Mix ⭐ Adoption Fee: $0.00 (generously sponsored) Dusky is the definition of a leading man. Handsome, confident, and full of star power, he carries himself with the kind of presence that turns heads. With his sleek black and white coat and natural ability to strike a pose, he is one of the most photogenic dogs at the shelter. Volunteers love him, not just for his good looks, but for his sweet and goofy charm that makes every day brighter. Life has not been simple for Dusky. He spent a year waiting at the shelter, was adopted, and then returned through no fault of his own. That has not dimmed his spirit. If anything, it has made him more determined to find the right person who will love him for life. Dusky is treat-motivated, attentive, and already knows basics like “sit.” He loves walks, car rides, and snuggling up after a day of adventure. While he is big and strong, he is also gentle at heart. People often comment on his sweet, easygoing nature. 💡 Important: Dusky is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. Other dogs are not really his crowd, and cats may spark too much curiosity. But if you are searching for a one-and-only best friend, Dusky is more than ready to step into that role. Dusky’s Highlights: ✔️ Adoption Fee: Sponsored (no fee) ✔️ 4 years old, 72 lbs of handsome charm ✔️ Knows basic commands, very treat-motivated, and "give paw" ✔️ Loves car rides, walks, and people-time ✔️ Volunteer favorite and photogenic superstar ✔️ Best as the only pet in the home Dusky has already proven he can be a devoted companion. Now he is waiting for his forever co-star. Could that be you? Come meet Dusky at the Caroline County Humane Society! 407 W. Story
🐾 Meet Roscoe (aka Duck) – Your Wiggly, Happy-Go-Lucky Buddy 5 Years Old · 64 lbs · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Mix Is it a bird? A plane? No, it’s Duck! This sweet, tan and white boy has a personality as big as his ears, and he’s ready to bring joy and cuddles to a forever home. When Duck first came to the shelter, he was stressed and scared. He lost weight, injured his face against his kennel door, and would spin in his kennel while barking at everyone who walked by. But as soon as Duck arrived in his foster home, he became a totally new dog. In his foster home, he has blossomed into a relaxed, happy, and affectionate companion. He loves snuggling into his crate for a cozy rest, playing with his foster brother, and greeting new people with wiggly excitement. He’s still learning not to jump up when he’s excited, but who could resist that enthusiasm? Duck has had limited, managed interactions with children and has done well, so with proper introductions and supervision, he could potentially live with kids. Duck enjoys walks and hikes, and while he had leash reactivity toward other dogs in his previous home, he walks very well next to his foster brother and seems comfortable with careful introductions. He’s fully housebroken, crate trained, and has even learned to use a doggy door in his foster home. What you should know about Duck: ✔️ Fully housebroken and crate trained ✔️ Walks well on leash next to his foster brother ✔️ Loves snuggling in his crate or on the couch ✔️ Playful with dogs after proper introductions ✔️ Gentle, happy, and wiggly when greeting people ✔️ Has done well with limited, supervised interactions with children ✨ Best suited for a home with adults or children who can match his excitement and provide love, structure, and plenty of snuggles. Roscoe (aka) Duck is currently in foster care, please call to schedule a meet and greet Caroline County Humane Society 407 W.
