Story
This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and we will update their bio with more information as we learn. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
She's 15 years old. I've had her since she was a baby I only can't keep her any longer because my landlord says she's too big and barks when I'm not home. Which I think that came with her aging when I lived by myself she never barked when I wasn't home. She's a cuddly little bear and mostly sleeps all day. She will let you know when she wants to go out.

Story
Meet Prada Prada is our young, chocolate terrier mix! She recently came to HAP when her owner was no longer able to take care of her. While it's been a bit of an adjustment for this sweet girl, she's starting to settle in and really show her true personality! Prada loves her toys - that's the most important thing to know about her. Stuffies are the way to her heart and this girl is rarely seen without one in her mouth, even on walks! Another thing to know about Prada is that she thinks she's a lap dog and will lean her entire body weight against you to soak up all the love. When she gets really excited for cuddles, her whole butt goes crazy and wiggles back and forth - it's adorable! Prada hasn't met any other dogs yet as we're still getting to know her but we can always do a dog meet to see how she'd do with a current dog in the home. So if you're looking for an active but fantastic cuddle companion, Prada is the one for you! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals.
