Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application PEBBLES- Our miracle baby Pebbles is a Pit Bull / Shar-Pei Mix (Pitpei). She is 14 months old and weighs 35 lbs. She is truly a survivor and is an amazing pup. Personality: Pebbles is a sweet, loving girl with a playful puppy spirit! She can be cautious when meeting new dogs at first, but once she warms up, she absolutely loves to romp and play. She doesn’t quite realize her size and enthusiasm can be a bit much for smaller dogs—but it’s all in fun! She loves kids of all ages, but again with her size she probably would do best with older kids. Pebbles loves her humans deeply and may act protective when strangers approach… even though she’s secretly afraid of her own shadow Background: Pebbles had a very rough start in life and did not receive proper vet care early on. Sadly, her siblings did not survive, but Pebbles is a true survivor who beat the odds. Although as a puppy, she was given a very small chance of surviving, every single day she thrived more and more. She never gave up and neither did we!!! After a year in foster care, she’s now ready for the amazing life she deserves. Energy Level: High – adventurous, playful, and loves exploring! Although she loves to run around and play, she also thrives hanging on the couch with her head in your lap, snoring happily. Special Needs / Health: Pebbles is listed as special needs due to a neurological-related eating issue. She does great but needs to be monitored and fed smaller food. She is a bit of an overeater, so food needs to be limited or she will eat until she is ready to bust. She has been seen through her young life by several Veterinarians, including a specialist. The testing ruled out issues with her esophagus, and the final diagnosis was more of a neurological-related eating issue. This does not slow her down, nor affect her quality of life and is manageable. Ideal Home: A loving home where she gets plenty of attention and isn’t left alone for long periods. She’ll thrive with an active family ready to give her love and structure. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 21, 2026, 8:19 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Billy—also known as “Sir Snacks-a-Lot." He is the definition of unconditional love.  Billy is truly the total package when it comes to a laid-back, loving companion. He is house trained and politely lets you know he needs to go out by standing quietly at the door—no barking or whining from this senior gentleman. He appreciates a simple routine and will wake once during the night for a quick bathroom break, but overall he’s a very low-maintenance boy. Billy is leash trained, though he prefers short, slow walks where he can take his time sniffing and enjoying the world around him. His ideal day includes relaxing in a fenced backyard where he can soak up the sun, followed by plenty of cozy indoor lounging. He’s not into toys, but give him a soft bed and he’s in heaven. He’s perfectly fine being in a crate, but he doesn't need to be; he prefers the freedom to roam a safe, open space. Billy is also a great car ride companion—he loves going along for the ride. Billy gets along well with calm dogs, both large and small. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but his gentle and easygoing personality suggests he may do well with proper introductions. He is friendly with people, enjoys quiet companionship, and would likely do best in a home that matches his relaxed energy.  Now, let’s talk about what makes Billy extra special. He is a senior (estimated 12–13 years old and 72 lbs.) with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines. He does have some medical needs, including arthritis in his spine and weakness in his back end, dry eye, a skin condition that is under control with weekly baths, and some breathing issues mainly at night. However, with proper medication and care, Billy shows glimpses of his younger, playful self. Billy does have an excellent nose, so food and trash should be kept secure—he’s a clever little foodie who will help himself if given the chance.  He was found as a stray and despite everything he’s been through, he remains incredibly loving, gentle and devoted. What people will absolutely love about Billy is how effortlessly he becomes part of your life. He’ll curl up at your feet while you watch TV, follow you from room to room, and gently remind you to step outside and enjoy some fresh air. He doesn’t demand much—just love, comfort, and a place to belong. Billy isn’t just a dog—he’s your built-in best friend, your quiet companion, your little sunbather, and your loyal heart in furry form. This old soul can't wait to find his forever loving home where he can enjoy the remainder of his days. Story
Zeus is estimated to be a 10 year old senior pittie boy. Zeus' owner lost her housing and has to find him a new home after owning him for over 8 years. He is a sweet boy and loves people - was polite and friendly greeting me and has lived with children of all ages. He can be a little anxious around other dogs - his ideal home would be either as an only dog in the home or with one other dog that is very calm and polite and will give him space to get comfortable. He would not be a good fit with a very excited, rambunctious other dog. He is housebroken and well mannered at the house.  LONG TIMER, Adoption fee REDUCED $50, includes:Dog spayed and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes. Story
Scamps is a petite, energetic two year old that would love to be your spoiled only fur child. He needs to be the only pet in the home but he loves people, is housebroken, crate trained and is a very playful, fun pup. He does play rough sometimes as he is still young, so he might be too much for very small children - older children that are comfortable with rowdy dogs would be best. Adoption fee: $150 Scamps is neutered and current on all vaccines. Her adoption fee includes free dog training support and group classes, 30 days of free pet insurance through MetLife and a free bath and nail trim from Scenthound. All of our dogs live in foster families and adoptions are by appointment.
