Story
We adopted Baloo when he was 6 months old from the pound. He had been flown in from another country (never told us which one). He’s a cuddle bug, very sweet and loving. Loves to be around you nonstop. He’s always gotten good grades at doggy schools and never fights with other dogs. Our issue with Baloo started when we moved in with my sister in 2020 and noticed he seemed nervous around children. We didn’t have any of our own so we thought we could train it out of him. We would bark, growl, and launch toward them. So we had to always be around. Fast forward a couple years and we are in our own home and have had our own child. Everything was fine until our baby started moving on his own. Then suddenly Baloo didn’t like him. The issue seems to stem from toys. He’s launched at our son only when he had toys in his hand so we believe that’s where the fear stems. However he’s done this multiple times, with teeth out, that we fear for our son’s safety. Otherwise he’s the sweetest dog.
