Story
I AM EATING 3 CUPS OF PEDIGREE ADULT Meet Ryli! Ryli is a 2-year-old pit bull with a sweet personality and a playful spirit. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people and may need a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable she’s excited to say hello and have some fun. Ryli can get a bit mouthy when she’s really excited, so she will do best with an experienced owner who can continue working with her on good manners. If there are children in the home, they will need to be over the age of 10. With a little patience, guidance, and lots of love, Ryli is sure to become a loyal and playful companion.

Story
This is Nacho! He is 3 years old about to be 4 in July/August. He is full grown at 40lbs. We do not know his real birthday. We got nacho from the Hayden companions shelter 3 years ago and he has been just an amazing dog. Sadly he no longer fits into our home with 5 month old baby that’s about to be on the move and it absolutely breaks our hearts to do this. He absolutely loves people but he needs to be in a home with NO other animals due to being reactive. Also he is best with older kids not toddlers. He is an absolute ball of energy and loves to run laps around the yard. He lives a very active life style but doesn’t mind winding down and loves to cuddle. He is potty trained and has a kennel that we put him into when we leave the house but he does not enjoy being put into it. He has had training at method k9 in post falls and knows basic commands. We would love to see him go to a good caring home that will work with him!

Story
I AM CURRENTLY EATING 4 CUPS OF PEDIGREE ADULT Hi there, I’m Molly Anne! I’m a 4-year-old pit mix with a big heart, big muscles, and even bigger love to give. My favorite things in the world are attention, companionship, cuddles, and being close to my people. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will always be excited to see you, I might just be your girl! Now, I’ll be honest — I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to walking nicely on a leash, so leash training and obedience training would really help me become the best version of myself. I’m a strong lady, and if I were a human, I’d definitely be hitting PRs at the gym every day! But underneath all these muscles is a total cuddle bug who just wants love and affection. Because I can get a little excited sometimes, I don’t always realize how strong I am. I may accidentally knock someone over when I’m excited to see my family or when a favorite toy comes out to play. For that reason, older kids who understand boundaries and can respect my space would probably be the best fit for me. We’re not sure yet how I do with other dogs, cats, or younger kiddos, but testing can be done if needed to help find my perfect forever match. What I really want most is a forever home where I can keep learning, keep loving, and finally settle down with a family who understands me. I promise to bring lots of cuddles, laughs, loyalty, and love into your life. Love, Molly Anne 🐾

Story
Meet Larry — a 3-year-old Terrier, Pit Bull/Bernese Mountain Dog mix with the gentlest soul and the sweetest eyes. Larry came to us with his brothers, Johnny and Jax, after life dealt them a rough hand. From being dumped and left to figure life out on their own, Larry learned that the world could be a pretty scary place. Now he’s slowly learning that maybe… it doesn’t always have to be. Larry is a very shy, sensitive boy who takes things one day at a time. New people and unfamiliar situations can make him nervous, but underneath that fear is a loving dog who wants so badly to trust. The staff at CAC are helping him understand that he’s safe now, that he’s a good boy, and that hard things can get easier with patience and love. Because survival is all Larry has ever known, when he becomes anxious or frightened he can climb a 6-foot fence with surprising ease. For Larry’s safety, he will need a secure setup and an experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and is committed to helping him continue building confidence. First-time dog owners are not recommended for this sweet boy. Larry is searching for a calm, quiet home with patient people who will let him move at his own pace and celebrate every little victory along the way. Another confident, friendly dog or two may help show him the ropes and remind him that being a dog can actually be fun. Once Larry lets you into his heart, you’ll see just how special he truly is — a soft, loving boy who simply needs someone willing to believe in him until he can believe in himself too.

Story
Krampus is a sweet 2-year-old pit bull mix with a truly inspiring journey. He came to us through animal control, so his past is a mystery, but every day he shows just how far he’s come. When he first arrived, he was unsure of almost everything and everyone—but with time, patience, and care, Krampus has really started to blossom. Now, he gets excited for walks and enjoys participating in playgroups with other dogs, showing off his growing confidence and playful side. It’s been so rewarding to watch him learn that the world can be a safe and happy place. Krampus is still a bit shy when meeting new people and may need some time to warm up, but once he does, his gentle and loving personality shines through. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to support him as he grows. With a little time and a lot of love, Krampus will make an incredibly loyal and special companion.
