Brutus' adventure spirit brings joy to everyone in his life. Though dealt a bad deck of cards previously, this awesome dog is living his best life.  The injury is unknown, and we were never able to get any real information, so we just concentrate on his care.  Over the last year, the doctors all agree he is not in pain. We just keep him comfortable and enjoying life.   Brutus likes playing with the other dogs, he is super fast on his wheels and loves to go on runs thru the woods. He is a champion cuddler.   He will come with his chair and ski mods, and we can do some training if you are wanting to adopt this special guy, but are not sure about the aids and how they help with the day to day.  He doesn't need his chair all the time. He spends most of the time out of it, actually.  He has some use of his legs, and gets around the yard quite well.  Check out his videos! Here is what his foster mom has to say:  Sweet and pretty chill. Lots of naps and doesn’t like getting off the couch in the mornings lol he gets zoomies like other dogs just a little wobbly lol. Loves car rides and his daily walks. Gets along with other dogs. Ollie is an adorable and energetic bully breed mix of some sort. He is white and seal. He came to Murci's Mission when his previous family was no longer able to care for him because the other dog in the household was beating up on him. Ollie's estimated birthdate of 03/03/2020 Ollie arrived exceptionally overweight and is on a new diet and exercise plan that is having great results. In his first week at the Mission he has already reduced from 85lbs to 79lbs and his coat is fitting much better already.  Ollie is a good dog that is friendly to dogs, cats, and kids. His only setback is that he is relatively anxious and although he is crate trained, he can be loud in his crate and do quite a lot of drooling, so he is not a suitable dog for apartment living or a house with neighbors that are extremely sensitive to barking or crying.  Ollie's ideal family would be one that wants to keep him involved and take him along for lots of adventures. He will also need a family that keeps him accountable to not act overly anxious and to continue to cultivate confidence in himself and his ability to exist without getting worked up, so emphasis on rewarding calm napping and quiet family time will be important. Ollie's future family will also need to commit to continuing his diet and helping him return to an appropriate body weight.  Ollie comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. His adoption fee is $200 and includes a leash, collar, ID tag, food sample and his medical records.
