Story
Forrest is an amazing dog! Turned 8 last month. Only rehoming due to living situation issues. He loves to play. Fetch, tug of war, chase, find the toy, he loves it all. He does great with a gentle leader for walks. Knows basic commands, sit, stay, come, lay down, and listens well unless there is something exciting going on (a new dog friend) then you need to make an extra effort to regain his attention. He's a loving, loyal companion, guaranteed to keep you warm at night! No known food allergies, but certain treats will cause some very unpleasant gas. I rescued Forrest April of 2022, he was in the behavioral dept at scraps and he was rough at first, he was abused as a puppy, but is so good now. Just needs daily exercise and love. He was with me through some difficult times and is the best company.

Story
Seava is a lover dog, she wants all the cuddles all the time. We rescued her with the intention of keeping her after helping her health issues. We got her January 10th 2026 she was only 43 pounds and had very unhealthy skin. We got her up to 60 pounds and discovered she has allergies so she takes 8mg of Apoquel daily. She is on a salmon/fish diet. But because she was a starving dog before we got her, she is determined to find anything edible and eat it. My house is not set up for a dog that will do anything to get into food she should not eat. She needs to go to a home with less access to human food. She does great with other large dogs, she loves kids, she likes cats too. She is extremely playful and can and will destroy any toy you give her. She loves baths and needs to take one at least once a week or she can get smelly due to her skin allergies. She is a wonderful dog, just needs to be in a home better suited for her.

Story
Beau was found underneath my mom’s truck at a park a few months ago. We immediately took him to the vet, no signs of vaccines or microchip and no collar as well. We posted him on many platforms trying to see if someone could find him but nothing. My wife and I are newly married at 19yrs old and decided to keep him so that he wouldn’t be put in a shelter. As time went on we realized that my wife’s job at the hospital and my job in metal left no time to properly take care of him. We love beau however it’s not fair that he has to stay in a kennel while we work all day. We live in an apartment with no fenced yard for him to run around and really just want what’s best for him.

Story
Hi! My name is Blackjack! There's no gamble here when it comes to loving me! I’ll happily be your king of hearts, sticking close and keeping you company as your second shadow. I’m great with kids, cats, and other dogs, and I know how to be gentle while still having fun. Mostly, though, what I bring is love and lots of it! I’m the kind of dog who shows love by simply being there, calm, steady, and always ready to belong. I am gentle by nature, and smart to boot. I pick up on things quickly and enjoy learning, whether it’s new routines or just figuring out how to fit perfectly into your life. My energy level is just right: I’m up for walks and playtime, but I’m just as content to relax and nap nearby. Another bonus is I am already potty trained and nearly crate trained. I may take a few minutes to settle at first, but I’m improving quickly and will be fully comfortable in no time. When I imagine my perfect home, it’s one filled with love. Kids to play with, dog friends to hang out with, and people who want a sweet and steady companion to share their days and nights. If that sounds like you, I think you may have just drawn a winning hand.    What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days.1. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experiencesocialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Story
Hi there! I’m Clara Bell 💁‍♀️🐾 I made my way to CAC through animal control, so my friends here are still getting to know all my likes and dislikes—but one thing’s already clear: I’m a happy, bright girl with a lot of love (and personality) to give. I’d really shine in a home that enjoys consistent training, long walks, and spending quality time together. Structure helps me feel confident, and once I’ve got that, I’m all smiles and tail wags. Now, let’s talk about the important stuff: fashion. I love a friend with a good eye for style. I enjoy striking a pose, working the camera, and I have absolutely impeccable taste in bark. Statement collars? Seasonal accessories? I’m in. If you’re looking for a walking partner, a training buddy, and a four-legged fashion icon who’s ready to learn and glow up with you—I might just be your girl. 💖🐶

Story
When Krampus first arrived as a stray, he lived up to his name: a little grumpy, very scared, and not quite sure humans were his thing. Fast-forward to now and he has revealed his true identity… a total lovebug in disguise. Krampus is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet once he knows you. He can be a bit shy at first, but offer some gentle words, ear scratches, and a good belly rub, and you’ll quickly have a loyal shadow. He came to us dirty, underweight, and scratched up, but with care (and lots of snacks), he’s healed beautifully and continues to gain confidence every day. He has a soft spot for women, does well with most men, and is picking up basic commands and leash training like a champ. We’re still learning how he feels about other dogs, cats, and kids—but we’re happy to help test and find the best match for him. Krampus may have started out as a grump, but he’s turned into a gentle, trusting sweetheart who’s ready for a cozy home and a forever family. If you believe in happy endings (and second chances), Krampus might just be your guy. Please make sure you have all the proper time, space and resources to care for me for the rest of my life. 🖤
