Story
(DOB 3/20/23)   Meet Sugar, the dazzling female Boxer Pitbull mix with a coat as captivating as her personality. With her striking brindle coloring and playful spirit, she's a one-of-a-kind companion. But here's the scoop beyond her looks: Special Talent: This lovely lady breaks stereotypes with her affectionate nature towards cats. Yep, you heard it right—she's a dog who's a feline fanatic! With her gentle demeanor, she's more likely to curl up beside a kitty than chase one. Fun Fact: Sugar's not your average pooch—she's got a thing for ice! Whether it's a hot summer's day or a cold winter's day, you'll find her happily chomping away on ice cubes like they're the tastiest treats around. When she hears you filling your cup, you can be sure she is on her way. Social Scene: Don't let her petite size fool you—Sugar's a social butterfly who hangs with the big boys. She isn't intimidated by her foster brother's big size, she likes the sneak attack of the back legs. She also respects the boundaries of senior dogs who just want to be left alone. Cuddle Queen: When it's time to wind down, Sugar's all about those cuddle sessions. There's nothing she loves more than snuggling up close, melting away the day's worries with her warmth and affection. Sleep Habits: While she's crate trained like a pro, Sugar's heart belongs by your side. Given the choice, she'll opt for cozying up with her favorite person over any other spot in the house. With her irresistible charm and heart of gold, Sugar is more than just a pet—she's family. Get ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments with this remarkable pup by your side. As part of Sugar’s $325 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Sugar, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1718270##

Story
Cookie (aka Oreo Cookie) is a quirky and silly pup that is guaranteed to brighten your day. She just loves to snuggle up to you and spread her warmth and joy.   She is always up for a good romp and playtime with kids who can keep up with her energy level. Whether it's chasing balls or exploring the outdoors, she will keep you entertained and active. She loves all kinds of toys. In addition to her playful spirit, this sweet girl has a heart full of love for her human companions, showering them with affectionate and slobbery snuggles. There will never be a dull moment with this delightful bundle of joy by your side. Plus, she can pull out the big, ole puppy dog eyes that you won't be able to resist! If you're looking for a four-legged companion who will fill your days with laughter, love and endless entertainment, look no further than than Oreo Cookie! Adopt this love ball today and let the adventures begin. Cookie wants a fenced (4ft+) yard in her new home; she loves being outside. She uses a doggie door at her forster mom's house and loves being able to go in and out. She is learning to walk nicelfy on a leash with positive reinforcement training and patience. Cookie will sit on command and knows to sit nice in order to be fed. She is friendly with new people and friends that have come around. She also loves car rides and going places. So if you want a road trip companion, she would be a great choice. We think she would be fine as an only dog. If you have another pup, they have to be ready to handle her rough style of play. Remember slow introductions with new family members is best she may need a home with older children as she has a lot of happy, playful energy and she may accidently knock over kids. DOB (02/13/2021) As part of Cookie's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Cookie, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1681533##

Story
Rock loves everyone he meets and vica versa!  He doesn't know what the word stranger means and gives love to everyone. He is a smoosh-burger of love and kisses.  Rock is such a good boy and is very sweet. Rock goes to work with his foster dad sometimes, and is a very good little supervisor. He ensures all of the pavers are layed properly...ha ha! Plus, he provides such positivity all the employees love him too!   Rock is a real snuggle buddy and is looking for someone who he can share all of his affection with! He is not that big and will be happy to crawl up in your lap or lay right next to you. Rock's foster says, if he had a kangroo pouch, Rock would jump right insdie.    Rock would love a home with a solid wood fence so he can enjoy the outdoors. A fence isn't a requirement for Rock-o so if you are in a condo, townhome or apartment, he could be a good option as long as you get him out a few times a day for walks. He hasn't quite perfected leash walking and it is something his foster dad is working with him on so he won't pull too much. He is a smart boy and will likely pick this up with consistency, positive reinforcement training and patience.   This wonderful boy is house and crate trained. Rock will go in his crate to sleep but is very happy to sleep in the bed with you and keep you warm. Rock isn't going to pass an opportunity to get a lot of affection, pets, belly rubs.    Rock hasn't had a lot of opportunities to meet other dogs yet, but the ones he has meet he has done well. He also hasn't meet little kids or cat at this time. Since he is new to our rescue, we will update as we know more. If you think this little hunk could be your next bestie, then Rock says, fill out that application today!   (DOB 12/22/2020). As part of Rock’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Rock, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1940429##

Story
Would you like a traveling companion? Cinder loves car rides and is a road trip fan; pop him in the car, reeve the engine because he is ready to go! He loves music; we believe he prefers country music on his car rides, but to clarify he really loves the company and window down too.    His ears are one of his trademarks. They can do amazing things and move in all kinds of directions.    Cinder sleeps well and has learned a routine with his crate. Before bed, a comfy blanket and bone/treat helps him settle in for the night. He wakes up with the zoomies and wants to eat and play for a bit. He loves to play fetch and will nap after he has played some. Cincer needs a yard to run and play in--has TONS of energy. He loves other dogs and would love a furry brother or sister to play with and a fenced 4 ft+yard. He likes to play fetch and tug-o-war and wants family members ready for some daily dose of "game time."     He does well around children and other dogs. He is very curious of his fosters chickens and cats, but he is learning the word no and is doing better with commands to leave it and keep going. He is very treat motivated and smart. He is already learning SIT & WAIT and working on loose leash walking. He is does well with routine and practice and sometimes a gentle reminder.    As part of Cinder’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Cinder, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1950581##
