She’s an amazing, sweet and loyal dog! So much energy but also loves to cuddle. You’ll have a friend for life with her, she just doesn’t get along with our older dog. We’ve had her for 2 years, she’s up to date on her shots and she’s spayed. She will need to be the only pup!

Story
(DOB 11/18/2022) Looking for the ultimate couch companion? Roscoe is your guy. With his great name and even greater heart, this gentle soul is happiest curled up indoors, lounging on the couch, or helping keep you warm at bedtime. He’s a certified sofa sloth and an excellent bed warmer, so be sure to save a little room for him, too! He’ll happily snuggle in and stay close to his people. This easygoing boy is happy with leisurely walks and is doing well with his leash manners. He doesn’t need a fenced yard and would be perfectly content in an apartment or condo (Note: he does have a fenced yard and doggie siblings at his foster home, and he enjoys that lifestyle, too). Roscoe would enjoy having a friendly canine companion, but he’d be just as happy as an only pup as long as he gets plenty of love, attention, and belly rubs. He’s social with other dogs, quiet, obedient, smart, and very food-motivated making continued confidence-building a positive and rewarding experience. Roscoe is writing a beautiful new chapter, and he’s learning every day that the world, and its people, can be a great place. With patience and love, he’s discovering that new people—and yes, even men—can be gentle, safe, and wonderful friends. He is good with kiddos and has not had an opportunity to meet any cats, yet. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels secure, his sweet, sensitive nature truly shines. His foster family has shown him that love is real, and he’s responding with trust, loyalty, and lots of affection. If you are planning on taking Roscoe with you when you jump in the car, he is a little nervous when first getting into the car, but he relaxes as the ride goes on. Because he can be quick when startled, it’s important to keep doors, gates, and his martingale collar secure. Roscoe is already house trained and working on his crate training...remember he loves to be on the sofa with his people :). Let's not forget to mention how hunk-a-lish this guy is!! He has a big head with an even bigger heart! He has the cutest pink "lips" that are absolutely smoochable. He has these golden-brown eyes that just sparkle in the sun. If you’re ready to open your heart and your couch to a truly sweet and special dog, Roscoe is ready to meet you. As part of Roscoe’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet boy, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Roscoe, you can complete an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2605835##

Story
(DOB 12/30/2024) Meet Moon, a sweet little puppy full of playfulness, cuddles, and adorable puppy energy.  She loves her toys and snuggling up after a fun play session. She's walking nicely on a leash and is excited to learn more tricks and skills. The perfect little companion for a family who loves to play, cuddle, and grow together! Story
I have had a leash reactive pitbull, Lily, for 1.5 years and she is about 3 years old. Although I practiced all the training I know, she has barely improved. She is now aggressive towards my cocker spaniel when I leave the room. The big change lately is that my older dog who was a teaching dog crossed over the rainbow bridge due to old age and pancreatitis. So now there are only two dogs at my apartment. My cocker spaniel is not aggressive towards any dog or human. Right now she isn't food aggressive. She needs a home with a fenced in backyard where she is the only pet (no cats or dogs) and she cannot be walked safely. When she's inside, she's a normal dog that snuggles and chews on her nylabone. Also if I'm in the same room as her, she is not a
