Story
Brindle in a bodacious package with a special little bit of everything is the recipe for what makes Lionel so special. Lionel is a pit bull mix adult dude who weighs about 60 lbs now and has a gorgeous brindle coat. It's quite likely nothing about Lionel's life has been easy so far and some prior trauma of some sort has left him with a bit of a head tilt that we wish he didn't have to endure, but by golly makes it seem like he is forever interested in what you are saying as he looks at you lovingly. Lionel is a precious soul who has just the right amount of energy but also can settle down and enjoy the slower things in life as well. He does well with lots of his doggo friends and has a nice medium energy level that isn't over the top at all. Pampering, believes Lionel, should be in his future and he could settle easily into many homes and certainly including the ones who love a pit bull love of snuggles and disregard for their size versus the size of your lap. Lionel is ready to roar on into your heart.... *Sleepover feedback: "We had a wonderful time with Lionel. He is a very sweet and loving boy. He seemed very comfortable with us. I hope he had a good experience like we did with him. Thank you for allowing us to host him. It’s a terrific program". *Additional feedback: "Lionel is the best boy. He is very sweet and snuggly. He did well on the leash and during the car ride. He seems to be potty trained. He did not love the crate, but really enjoyed sleeping on the couch / bed. He slept in late and did not wake us up to go outside too early. He is very quiet and loves meeting new people".

Story
Sweet Tart is blossoming in her new world and absolutely soaking up all the love and attention! This pint-sized pittie is small in stature but huge in heart. Tart's deepest desire is to be with her people—she will happily follow you and cuddle up wherever you go, ensuring you always have a soft, warm companion. She is smart and very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze! She's now learning that she can play, be happy, and most importantly, be safe and cared for. Leash Skills Leash Manners: Walks like a dream on a leash! House Training: Mostly housebroken and continuing to improve. Car Rides: A fantastic traveler who rides really well in the car. Chews: Loves to relax and chew on a tasty bone. Compatibility Kids: Does wonderfully with children. Cats: Gets along great with cats. Other Dogs: Good with other dogs as long as they respect her space and don't try to engage her in play. Tart prefers calm company over rough-housing. Special Requirement Because of her size, Tart gets chilly easily! If the temperature dips below 60 degrees, she needs a cozy sweater to stay warm and happy. If you're looking for a warm, devoted, easy-going companion who will stick by your side and fill your lap with love, Tart is the perfect girl for you!

Story
Name says it all....and that face! Holey moley come and save us from tripping over ourselves to love on this most perfect round, stocky and short legged spark plug of love! Wigglebutt is a stout and young pocket pittie (and we sure do resist sticking her in our pocket and taking her home daily) who weighs about 22 lbs now with more room to grow. This young lady is super fun and adorable doesn't even cover it. Her coat might not be spectacular yet, due to lack of a home and good care but that's all turning around now. Wigglebutt does great with other dogs, has been a great addition to the hiking team, and is quiet in her crate and keeps it clean. This little chunk is a gift you will not be able to imagine living without once you meet her. Weekend Host Feedback: "Great with other people. Very trusting, friendly, will go right up to them to accept pats/attention. Great with leash walking. Hesitant at first but once she knows the route/routine, she's great. Very well potty-trained. A few accidents that were most likely due to the new environment/not being on a schedule yet. Sleeps fine in crate, will sometimes whine when left alone but stops after a few minutes. LOVES CUDDLING AND PHYSICAL CONTACT - she was on our laps cuddling whenever she could be. Absolute sweetheart. Very obedient. Learned within 48 hours which toys were "hers" and which were just stuffed animals we had that weren't for dogs. Seems to be teething and enjoys hard chew toys. LOVES ICE CUBES - will take an ice cube with her back to her bed and gnaw on it." Recent Weekend Host Feedback: "Wigglebut is good with kids and is great in the car! She appears to be potty trained, great with leash walking. She was shy and hesitant at first but quickly adjusted to a new environment. She really loves to play with toys and seems to be teething because loves to chew hard toys. She is amazing in a crate and slept quietly throughout the night, seems to be crate trained."

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE STARTING WEDNESDAY 12/10 *** Benny has blossomed into a cuddly whirlwind of fun. He’s a lively, high-energy playmate one minute and a snuggly nap buddy the next. Benny is happiest with a warm lap, soft blanket, or any cozy heat source nearby. He adores wrestling and romping with his siblings, though he’s always the first to tap out for a nap or head to bed. Easygoing by nature, he’s not much of a barker and settles quickly. Benny’s actively leash-walking, about 80% potty trained, and fully pee-pad trained when in an enclosure. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is a great fit for older kids and adults. Benny would thrive with a patient, active person—maybe even someone who already has a playful dog to match his playful vibe. If you’re looking for a character with a big heart, warm cuddles, and joyful bursts of energy, Benny might just be your perfect match.

Story
Big Ben is a 3 year old ~75 pound mix, suspected Malinois, Great Dane, Lab and Pit mix (DNA test pending!). He is the coolest color with a dark ridge down his back, and is extremely soft. He is easy to train, very obedient, and extremely fun! Couch potatoes need not apply, as Ben wants to do things (with or without you) but preferably with you (though cuddling on the couch is awesome after doing other stuff together). Ben has started scent work training, has professional obedience training, and will excel at any job he is given the chance to try! He is good with other dogs when managed by an educated owner, but has had dog aggression issues in the past. He currently lives easily with 5+ other dogs and is very gentle when playing with his friends, but sometimes is unsure how to handle new friends and takes guidance well. He is still being introduced to cats, but can likely coexist with them just fine as his prey drive is medium - low. He desperately wants to be a good boy, he just often needs reminded what a good boy needs to be doing (or not doing)
