Ben listens well, enjoys learning, and makes a loyal, steady companion. He thrives with structure and clear routines, and he’d be happiest in a calm, adult-only home where he can be the only pet, or become a friend to another medium or large dog after a proper introduction. While Ben is content to have couch potato days, he has plenty of energy to thrive with someone who enjoys staying active, whether that’s daily walks, hikes, or regular playtime in the yard. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old, rescued from a backyard breeder (we didn't buy her, just took her when we found her wandering, dirty and underfed). She is now 2 years, 3 months. We are looking for someone who can give her constant attention, as she loves to be pet, cuddled, talked to and looked at. She's extremely affectionate and loves meeting new people. She also likes to run around and play fetch so someone who can devote time to help her get her energy out is ideal. She's loved the ramp at our dog park and was in the middle of conquering the tunnel. She's not always food motivated but loves learning new tricks and already knows a bunch of commands: sit, down, stay, come, back up, paw, hugs, kiss, go in your room (crate training), quiet, heel, and a few others. She is a power chewer and loves bones and nyla toys and stuffies, though they don't last long with her. She also really likes balls, tennis balls mostly. Gets along well with other dogs, but not cats.

JoJo (short for Joan) is a 5-year-old Terrier/Pit Bull mix with a heart full of love and a story of resilience. At 44 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion who will follow you from room to room just to be near you. She's incredibly sweet, loves cuddles, and while she isn’t much into toys, she lights up when she gets to run around and play. JoJo gets along great with other dogs and she’s been calm and affectionate around our 6-month-old baby. She’s house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is picking up on basic directions quickly—she’s smart and eager to please. She sleeps soundly outside of a kennel at night, but we did kennel her when we left the house, as she’s shown a bit of separation anxiety. It’s clear she forms strong bonds and just wants to be with her people as much as possible—understandable, given that she was heartbreakingly found abandoned in a trash can. But despite her rough past, she’s resilient, loving, and ready for a fresh start. JoJo is now thriving in foster care and ready to find the loving forever home she deserves. Cibao is a very sweet boy who loves the attention of us as well as other dogs. He’s never had any incident with aggression at all to other dogs or people although when he plays he is very vocal. I’ve had him for a little over a year and unfortunately can’t keep him anymore due to an unexpected move, although it breaks my heart giving him away I know it’d ultimately for his benefit.

Luna is an all-white American Pit Bull and was born deaf - common with all white in her breed. She was adopted from a rescue 2.5 years ago. For the first 2 years, Luna was the sweetest and most loving dog. Our 3 children loved to play with her and loved to dress her up. Then one day, about a year ago, she clearly did not feel well and we had our vet do a complete examination. The diagnosis was tenuous:IVDD. There was nothing we could do but manage Luna's pain. Over the next few months, she become incontinent and this has inreased, however, with the good diapers and frequent trips outside, it is manageable. Luna tends to resource guard and has bitten our other dog two time, each a year apart, so she needs to be an ONLY PET. And despite all this, Luna is the most loving dog you will ever meet. Because of Luna's need to be let outside frequently, her owners working schedule, the family can no longer keep Luna. If you have it in your heart to help Luna, she wil be devoted to you.
