Story
Bullet is a 6 year old pit mix, who was rescued in Texas, where he was found by a rescue in a cemetery. He lived with us in Oklahoma and was the sweetest pup. Our family was relocated after a military contract ended, which resulted in the home being packed up. After this, Bullet became reactive. Upon moving to Ohio, bullet did a 2 full week board and train to work on house skills and his reactivity. He continues to be reactive with others and pets. He bit a family member at this time- skin was not broke. He does not do well with cats (got into a fight with one) and does not do well with people. Once he is comfortable like he is with us, he is such a good boy and so sweet. However he is reactive towards our toddler and began to start lunging and deep barking at her. We want to keep her safe, as well as him. We’re looking for a home that can allow him to play, get his energy out (he is high energy!), and provide him love without having fears of him.

Story
Meet Ivy Ivy is a 1.5-year-old, fully house-trained dog with a loving and affectionate personality. She is very people-oriented and enjoys being close to her family. Ivy has a higher energy level and would thrive in a home where she has space to run, play, and receive regular exercise. Ivy has been around neighbor animals and has not shown any signs of aggression. She has done very well with our teenagers; however, she has not had exposure to younger children. Due to a recent move into an apartment and increased time away from home, we feel Ivy would be happier and better suited in a home that can provide more space, structure, and daily interaction. This decision is being made with Ivy’s long-term happiness and well-being as our top priority.

Story
Hi, I'm Ruger! I love playing and running around with my friends! I love dogs of all sizes and I seem to like cats, too! I've been here since I was a puppy (I came here in August of 2022!) so I can be a bit shy with new people but I am so sweet and loving when I know you! I love cuddles and pets! I would do best in a home without small children because I don't understand how big I am and I may knock over small children when I'm running and playing. I find strange men to be really scary but I'm trying really hard to work on that. I may do best in a home without men or at least a home who is willing to help me overcome that. I have lots of energy so I will need someone who will give me lots of exercise! I love swimming in my pool when it's hot out! I really like car rides and I would love to ride away with you!

Story
Hello, my name is Red! I was brought to the shelter in December of 2025. I am a super sweet, easy-going girl who likes other dogs and loves to play! I do good with big dogs and small dogs. I like people too, and I would love to meet you! I can be kind of timid at first, but I warm up quickly. I like to put my head in your hands, and I might even doze off like that! I also like chin scratches and peanut butter! I am young and still learning my manners, but I am very smart and get better every day.

Story
My name is Baker and I have been here since February of 2025. I am a big guy, but I don't have a lot of energy and prefer hanging out inside with my stuffed toys and cozy bed to being outside running around. If you want a couch buddy, I'm your dog! Though, I do enjoy a nice walk and walk nicely on my leash and harness. I've had some tough times in the past where I was left to fend for myself for a very long time, so I don't like sharing with other dogs, although I don't mind being around them here. Now that I'm not all by myself, I learned I love people and getting pets, treats, and big stuffed toys! I also get to do puzzle toys here, and I'm very good at them, if I do say so myself. Because of my past, I can be a little nervous with new situations and get overwhelmed easily- there is so much that is still new to me- so I think I would like a quieter home with no other dogs and no young kids.
