You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Are you seeking the goodest boy? Look no further, as his name is Saint and he is up for adoption. Rescue workers brought Saint in after finding him sleeping as a stray on a bench outside a remote house. They contacted his former owner and learned that he had abandoned Saint. His foster family lives near where rescuers found him. The foster family would love to adopt him, unfortunately their other male does not like him. Saint loves laying on the couch next to his person while watching tv. He lets out his extra energy by playing with toys or zooming around the yard. He can play with other dogs, or he can entertain himself. Although friendly to all people and children, he forms attachments to individuals. He knows sit, stay, up, down, lay down, no, come, leave it, crate and much more. Once you have him do something once or twice, it becomes second nature to him. He will chase a cat, but if you “say leave” it or “no” before the chase happens, he will leave them alone. This dog has everything to offer the perfect family. He is an easy trainable dog. His only downside is not having any people to ensure the best for this goodest boy. The current foster loves to talk about him, so feel free to ask questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. If you are renting, and you are applying to adopt a dog that is not a giant breed, permission to adopt an animal must be obtained from the landlord or property owner. We do not adopt giant breed dogs to homes with children under 6 years of age. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Applications will be denied if anyone residing in the household has a record indicating drug/alcohol abuse, theft, or violence. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption.  Proof of any of the following exceptions is required: The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team. Story
Babygirl has been my emotional support animal since I got her 12 years ago. Unfortunately my subsidiary housing management wont accept the paperwork necessary to keep her so they are threatening eviction if I dont get rid of her. It breaks my heart to have to let her go, but I have to choose between her or homelessness. She’s a really good, quiet, chill girl. She is 12 ( Senior) so sometimes she has accidents she is unable to control. She cannot jump on beds or anything like she used to so she mostly just lays in her soft little plush bed. She likes kibbles n bits mini bits and she will play with toys sometimes. She loves slim Jim’s as a snack. She loves people. She may not have very much time left on her hands but I would love for her to have a loving family or shelter to carry her through to the end.

Story
I am an Air Force Vet and first time dog owner, I found Duke at a local dog shelter. He was around 1 year old when I adopted him about a year ago. Duke is a veryyy friendly dog absolutely loves people and loves to cuddle he will lay down with you all day on the couch and not move if you let him. The reason I am looking to rehome is because I am a single guy and my schedule is really busy as a full time student and soccer coach and that means I have to leave Duke in a crate for the majority of the day and even when I am home I cant spend much time with him because of my school work. I feel Duke would do very well in a house with multiple people to give him attention and able to take him out to run around a be a young dog. Duke is very well trained he knows sit, down, crate, heel/tight, free, he is even trained on E-collar and will recall with the tone sound. Please feel free to ask any questions about him!

Story
Carl is a mix of pit bull, blue heeler, and boxer (one parent was full pit bull and one parent was 50/50 boxer/blue heeler). We got Carl from a family in the area when he was around 3 months old. He just turned 5. He is a very sweet boy, but can be reactive to seeing people or people with other dogs. He has a loud bark, but he has never bitten anyone or any other dog. He has experience with medium and small dogs (small being a 6 pound dog) and has played well with them. He has been around infants and early toddler aged kids and has seemed to do well with them (does like to lick in the face). He is crate trained but not house trained well. He is harness trained (best with a front lead harness). We did just take him to a 10 day training to focus on his reactiveness. He is doing better and we continue to work with him with an e collar and prong collar. He is a very sweet and silly boy that we are hoping finds a family that has more space to give him and more time to keep up with training

Story
Say hello to Kane, a handsome and affectionate 9-year-old male pitbull mix who was born on July 4th — a true firecracker of love and loyalty! Weighing in at about 60 pounds, Kane is the perfect balance of strength, sweetness, and snuggles. Kane’s favorite parts of the day are his morning and evening walks, where he proudly struts by your side, taking in every scent and sight. He absolutely loves visiting open fields where he can run free, chase bunnies, squirrels, and birds, and show off his playful spirit. Despite his bursts of energy, Kane is incredibly well-behaved and well-trained, making him a joy to have both indoors and outdoors. When playtime is over, Kane is all about affection. He’s a true lap dog who loves curling up close, getting bedtime snuggles, and showering his people with warmth and loyalty. Kane’s friendly nature makes him a great companion for anyone looking for a loving, well-mannered dog who still has plenty of energy and heart to give.

This is Sprout! Sprout was attacked by her mom as a puppy. She was surrounded by wonderful people that nursed her back health. She will always look a little different and can only see from one eye - but she otherwise perfect!Sprout is loving, playful and very smart. She is house trained and knows all her basic commands. She loves toys and does not destroy them. Sprout has become quite the social butterfly . She loves all of the attention she gets at Rico events and interacting with all of the other dogs. Her foster brothers and sisters have become her very best friends. She loves to play and then rest in her fenced in yard. Sprout is the best fetcher ever! She can play a little rough but does not have a mean bone in her body. Sprout has exhibited some resource guarding with food, toys and treats with other dogs, but not with people. Sprout loves to be with her humans, but crates nicely also. She loves to flip her toys in the air to entertain herself and never destroys them.Sprout loves to run in the yard, and go for walks. She is a strong girl and needs a harness.Sprout is looking for a home with an active family that loves the outdoors, and a nice fenced yard for her to play in. She would do best in a home with older kids (she sometimes runs into things and could knock a small child over) and with no cats (she will chase them). Buckeye Bull Terrier Rescue is looking for the right Forever Adoptive Home for Mia! Let’s get this sweet girl Adopted! Mia is a little over 2 years old, Has been fixed, UTD on shots, Heartworm negative and recently had a dental and been fully vetted. She is a sweet, energetic young bull terrier but has some anxiety and overstimulation issues she needs help working through. She has a facial deformity that has been diagnosed as a birth defect and veterinarian’s through exams and xrays believe there is no cause for alarm and she has no visual impairments. Her new home will need to be patient as she excites easily and is overstimulated with the transition from country living to city life. I do not believe she had much early socialization. She will need someone willing to put in the time and patience with training and helping her relax in new situations. She will need work on the leash (she is a puller) and in public situations. She appears to be Dog friendly but gets very excited when see’s other dogs and want to visit all the dogs. She would do best in home with older children or no children as she excites easily and wants to play. Crate Trained and currently living with a Foster who has been helping her get socialized, vetted and trained. Unknown how she is with cats snd smsll animals. Adoption Fee, Application and Home Check Required Please Contact me for more information or for an application Please Share and help this Girl find her forever people
