Berry is a retired service dog who needs room to play! Berry is very much high energy and loves to run and play fetch, and go on walks. He enjoys constant love. While he is afraid of thunder and fireworks, he will gladly take refuge in the bathtub. Berry needs to be rehomed because I cannot give him the life he deserves.

Story
Stitch is a 5yo Pitty Mix who loves everyone. She is very quiet and sweet. She loves to be where you are. She is house trained, but does take some medication for a leaking issue that works very well. The only reason she is being rehomed is due to a separation between owners and not being able to care for her separately due to work schedules.

Story
Lana is a 11 year old pit mix pup looking to find her forever home.  She is both house broken and crate trained.  She is good with other dogs and would do best in a calm, kid free home. She would be best in a home rather than an apartment and would require a fenced in yard at her forever abode.  She likes taking long walks and also napping for just as long. She loves to play soccer and frisbee but doesn't like giving them back. She is a goofy girl who loves to snuggle (it's her favorite thing) and have lots of play time with all her human and furry friends at Camp Bow Wow! Lana's adoption fee is $195.  Apply today at rescuedohio.org to meet (and snuggle) with this sweet girl. ##1149955##

Story
Meet Phoebe! If you're into snuggly pitties with giant heads, it doesn’t get much better than this. Phoebe has the largest head-to-body ratio we've ever seen. It's a real melon. She uses that velvet bowling ball to snuggle up close and give you kisses just for hanging out. In her perfect world, she spends 80% of her day cuddling and 20% destroying squeaky toys. Luckily she's still happy to play with those stuffy toys after the squeaker breaks, but a squeak is the quickest way for her to come running! Though she's only about 2 years old, Phoebe is very mellow. While she enjoys a walk or running around the back yard for a bit, she's not a dog that will require a lot of exercise. A few rounds of fetch will do just fine. She's more like a land seal, kicking her legs to the side and lounging around as you make dinner or watch tv. However, she is a brave warrior when the vacuum cleaner comes out. She has some mild hip dysplasia, but it's managed pretty easily with joint supplement chews. Her foster family alternates between walks and back yard play to make sure she’s getting enough exercise without overdoing it. We'd love if her forever family had a fence in yard so she can enjoy roaming around on her own. Phoebe has made it clear that she doesn’t want to share the spotlight with any other dogs, so she will need an owner that is comfortable owning a dog that doesn’t like other dogs. And because she would chase a squirrel to Mexico, we have a feeling cats would be a bad idea, though we haven’t tested it. Phoebe is wonderful with new humans (guests in the home, being handled by vets, etc.), but we think she will do best in an adult only home. Phoebe is a bit smaller than she looks in photos, but still weighs about 65lbs (we cannot imagine what that giant head must weigh). She does well for baths and nail trims and she's wonderful in the crate. She will sleep in her crate through the night or while you’re away with no issues. Phoebe has a very sweet disposition and becomes everyone's best pal. To meet her is to love her. While she may seem a little difficult on paper, she will be the most amazing addition to a laid back household that just wants a snuggle buddy. Approved applicants can email us directly to arrange a meet & greet, or you can apply to adopt at RESCUEDohio.org. ##1189045##

Story
Meet Lincoln! Gender: Male Age: 9mos Current Weight: 50lbs Expected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs) Breed: pitbull lab mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. He currently is living with a 10 year old Toy Rat Terrier who is 10lbs in his foster home. Cat Friendly: Selective Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 12 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Yes Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, 5'-6' height required Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: An active home who has time to continue training him, as well as time to play with him or take him on long walks. He is young and active so needs more attention than an older dog would. Lincoln would be happiest if he had somewhat of a yard to play in because he can keep himself entertained outside with toys for long periods of times. Likes: Lincoln loves any toys; he is not picky. He has even played with small cat toys without chewing them up, just tosses them around. Lincoln would prefer to be close to you and he is snuggly when he is tired (sometimes does not realize he is a 50lb dog). He enjoys car rides and is always excited to visit new places. Since Lincoln is young, he is still trying to navigate his body awareness so tends to be quite clumsy. Dislikes: Lincoln whines when you first leave his sight, but eventually calms down. His clumsiness mixed with excitement can be overwhelming. You will need to toddler proof your home and keep delicate items up high. What makes this dog special: When Lincoln looks at you with his sweet face and big ears, it melts your heart. His signature look is one ear up, and the other one folded over. He has such a great personality, so happy to spend time with people and do new things. Lincoln's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Lincoln, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1666621##

Story
Meet Pickle!   He is a 10 month old Pitbull mix who was abandoned and picked up by a Good Samaritan. Since joining us we have learned that he is a SUPER sweet, happy, adorable little guy! Pickle loves other dogs, does great with school aged children (he is a little too excited for smaller kids), isn't a big fan of cats and did great at a recent public event! This handsome boy is looking for a family to love and spoil him and give him the second chance he deserves! He is potty trained, crate trained and doing well on a leash! He’s now in our prison program to learn his basic commands, but he’ll be available for adoption by mid-August.    Pickle is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, HW negative and on prevention. If you are interested in adopting Pickle please visit our website and complete an application! Adoptables — Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio (prodogsohio.org)   His adoption fee is $350, which includes an hour training session with a professional trainer in the Columbus, Cincinnati, or Dayton area. We adopt outside of those areas, but you would need to travel to one of those locations in order to take advantage of the session. He's currently located in London, OH.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.September 21, 2023, 7:53 pm
