We are accepting applications for our sweet girl, Lorelai. She was a pull from Memphis Animal Services, on September 21, 2022. When she came to us she weighed 26lbs & was heartworm positive, She is with a foster who was getting her through her first few critical months, but still has her. She is more than ready for her furever love!! She is completely house trained, and is a very well behaved house guest. She loves all people, though she is more comfortable with her doggie friends who are more on the chill side. She has gone through her heartworm treatment, over 6 months ago. She is extremely sweet, despite all of the horrors that she endured before coming into our rescue.

Hello, my name is Clooney! Clooney is a courtesy posting for a kind & loving family who sadly find themselves in a position of needing to lovingly rehome this gorgeous, sweet dog. Clooney wrote up a description of himself and he would like you to read it: "I am a mixed Brindle Pitbull breed and am about 3.5 years old. I am a big cuddle bug and sometimes don't even know my own size as I always sit with my owner on her recliner. Although we both don't fit very well, I love to snuggle . I have really big paws and I love to play with the hose in the summer. Its my favorite activity! I am so excited to see all the guests that come to my house to visit. Although I may need some work on jumping as I get so excited. I do really well with other dogs although I've never met any kitties. I think I may be just a tad rough with my house play that I may be best to be in a house with no children or adults only as I don't know my own strength. One of my other favorite past times is to lay in front of the fireplace on cold nights. I'm looking for my forever home and a family that I can continue to love unconditionally. Allow us to introduce you to Norris. This charming fella came to us some time ago as a stray. Initially timid, Norris has come a long way since then, now reveling in playful activities. With a toy, a yard, or even a baby pool, Norris is the happiest boy when he is enjoying swimming and playtime. His play style might involve a bit of vocalization, but it's all in the spirit of fun. As far as Norris is concerned…there is never enough toys! After his energetic bursts, Norris finds joy in stretching out and lounging. He adores nestling his nose under your arm for head rubs and sitting snugly between your legs. At around 2 years old, he's a leash-walking pro, making him a great companion for an active lifestyle. He will need an active household. While he's tolerant with other dogs, we believe he'd thrive best as the sole pet in the household. Twig's past is a mystery, while we know he was abandoned and emaciated…what he went through prior had to be bad. He is scared of being hurt by those he doesn’t know, and he cowers with fear when a voice is raised. He's got a heart as big as his loyalty, and he's fiercely protective of his chosen humans, kind of like a pint-sized chihuahua with a heart of gold. Now, Twig's looking for a special human with a PhD in "Rescue Dog Rehab," preferably a widow or a lone ranger – no kiddos or party animals please. We're talking about a tranquil, zen-like household here, folks. But here's the magic of Twig: when he loves, he loves with all his heart. You'll never find a more loyal and devoted dog. We say that a lot, but we truly mean it with Twig. His love is nothing short of inspiring. We’ve had him working with a trainer, and he's come a long way. Her journey to our shelter began on the side of a freeway, where she was found very scared with sunburned ears/tail, total scorched paws, and a body covered in scars and scratches that tugged at our heartstrings. Initially shut down, Honey gradually learned to trust again with the help of our compassionate individuals who sat with her and shared her kennel, offering the comfort she needed when she first came in. Over time, Honey has healed up physically and emotionally. While we may never fully understand her past, we do recommend that she be the ONLY sole pet in her new home. Honey is still working on her leash manners but is making progress daily. With humans, she is an absolute sweetheart, finding her greatest joy in cuddling on your lap, wrapped in blankets, enjoying treats, and playfully chasing squeaky toys. Honey would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and an experienced owner who understands the needs of dogs that have overcome a challenging past.
