Tyson is a friendly and energetic young boy. I adopted him from the shelter about 2 months ago, when at the time I was in a job working from home. Since then I have started a new job that requires me to be in the office and I am no longer home enough to fulfill his mental and physical needs. Tyson has a very high oral drive, he constantly likes to be chewing on a toy or bone. He really enjoys playing fetch in the yard or the house, and this is one of the best activities to engage with him on. He also likes playing tug of war with a rope and ball. Tyson is potty trained and kennel trained. He goes in the kennel most nights or while I’m at work. Since I’ve adopted him he’s had no bathroom accidents in the house. Tyson is still rather young and in need of a lot of attention and some training. He is still learning his manners and tends to be jumpy around new people or dogs. He is always friendly and never aggressive. Tyson is in need of a home that can support his high energy drive.

We are accepting applications for our sweet girl, Lorelai. She was a pull from Memphis Animal Services, on September 21, 2022. When she came to us she weighed 26lbs & was heartworm positive, She is with a foster who was getting her through her first few critical months, but still has her. She is more than ready for her furever love!! She is completely house trained, and is a very well behaved house guest. She loves all people, though she is more comfortable with her doggie friends who are more on the chill side. She has gone through her heartworm treatment, over 6 months ago. She is extremely sweet, despite all of the horrors that she endured before coming into our rescue.

Clooney wrote up a description of himself and he would like you to read it: "I am a mixed Brindle Pitbull breed and am about 3.5 years old. I am a big cuddle bug and sometimes don't even know my own size as I always sit with my owner on her recliner. Although we both don't fit very well, I love to snuggle . I have really big paws and I love to play with the hose in the summer. Its my favorite activity! I am so excited to see all the guests that come to my house to visit. Although I may need some work on jumping as I get so excited. I do really well with other dogs although I've never met any kitties. I think I may be just a tad rough with my house play that I may be best to be in a house with no children or adults only as I don't know my own strength. His family had called a local vets to have him put to sleep for an incident with the cat he had lived with (we don't have any details of the situation). They reached out to someone for help and they ended up taking him so he wouldn’t be euthanized. He is currently at a local boarding facility but needs a forever home. He is housebroken. He is dog friendly (but we haven’t introduced him to dogs under 30 pounds). He loves everyone he meets, loves attention, going on outings to the pet store and the company of other dogs. Sadie is CRITICALLY pending euthanization at the North Augusta Pound located in South Carolina (9/24). We are working with the North Augusta Pound, FONAA, and Project Freedom Ride to save 6 dogs from the pound who are on death row. Our team has been working with the North Augusta Pound for over a year to help them remain no-kill. Unfortunately, September will mark the end of that streak. We are located in Willoughby, OH. Adopters will have to meet to pick up their dog. Out-of-State adopters must be able to meet to pick up the dog or the rescue can provide transport to nearby states at .75 per mile. (We do not adopt to Canada any longer.) If adopters are able to pick up the dog from SC after approval, they are strongly encouraged to do so - we can stall euth dates for pending pickup. Pound will not adopt out-of-state unless there is rescue backing. Project Freedom Ride will transport 10/2 if we find committed adopters by 9/24 ABOUT THE DOG: Sadie is newer to the pound but a total sweetheart. Super friendly with others and mostly calm. Had the zoomies outdoors. Has a great personality. 1-2 Year Female 50+ Pounds Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Can't cat test at this time. Sadie is not spayed but will be handled at adoption. We'd like to re-introduce you to Winnie, a remarkable dog who's come a long way since we last introduced her a few months ago. If you remember she rescued by a Good Samaritan and had an an iliac fracture and MAJOR ear troubles. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible community, we were able to provide her with the necessary medical care, granting her the gift of a pain-free life through total ear canal ablation surgery she needed. Now, the time has come for us to find Winnie her forever home. At around 5-6 years old, Winnie is not just any dog; she's a TOTAL SWEETHEART! She has been living with a foster and has shown great compatibility with their other large dog, Scottie. Day by day, she's making huge strides in meeting new people. Instead of being terrified, she now greets strangers with excitement. Her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. Winnie does reasonably well around cats but may need some separation when left alone. She's learning to understand them, but she’s not aggressive towards them. When it comes to children, we believe she would thrive best in a home with older kids, as her playfulness can be exuberant, akin to a bull in a China shop. She also can be a bit mouthy when she wants attention, but it’s more gentle and nothing major. For Winnie, a fenced-in yard would be ideal, she would thrive in an active home and one that can continue nurturing her newfound confidence. Is that with you? Stewie is approximately 1.5 years old, and a bull terrier mix - anyone remember Spuds MacKenzie?! He is medium in size (55-60 lbs). While he may still be young, he’s a pretty chill dude. He can be strong on a leash, but once off leash, he loves to take leisurely strolls around the yard. He's more of a couch potato kind of guy.
