Sadie is CRITICALLY pending euthanization at the North Augusta Pound located in South Carolina (9/24). We are working with the North Augusta Pound, FONAA, and Project Freedom Ride to save 6 dogs from the pound who are on death row. Our team has been working with the North Augusta Pound for over a year to help them remain no-kill. Unfortunately, September will mark the end of that streak. We are located in Willoughby, OH. Adopters will have to meet to pick up their dog. Out-of-State adopters must be able to meet to pick up the dog or the rescue can provide transport to nearby states at .75 per mile. (We do not adopt to Canada any longer.) If adopters are able to pick up the dog from SC after approval, they are strongly encouraged to do so - we can stall euth dates for pending pickup. Pound will not adopt out-of-state unless there is rescue backing. Project Freedom Ride will transport 10/2 if we find committed adopters by 9/24 ABOUT THE DOG: Sadie is newer to the pound but a total sweetheart. Super friendly with others and mostly calm. Had the zoomies outdoors. Has a great personality. 1-2 Year Female 50+ Pounds Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Can't cat test at this time. Sadie is not spayed but will be handled at adoption. Tyson is a friendly and energetic young boy. I adopted him from the shelter about 2 months ago, when at the time I was in a job working from home. Since then I have started a new job that requires me to be in the office and I am no longer home enough to fulfill his mental and physical needs. Tyson has a very high oral drive, he constantly likes to be chewing on a toy or bone. He really enjoys playing fetch in the yard or the house, and this is one of the best activities to engage with him on. He also likes playing tug of war with a rope and ball. Tyson is potty trained and kennel trained. He goes in the kennel most nights or while I’m at work. Since I’ve adopted him he’s had no bathroom accidents in the house. Tyson is still rather young and in need of a lot of attention and some training. He is still learning his manners and tends to be jumpy around new people or dogs. He is always friendly and never aggressive. Tyson is in need of a home that can support his high energy drive.

Kane is a very shy and sweet boy. He will need an adopter that is familiar with the breed and knows how to help him gain confidence. He is not a candidate for an adopter that hasn't had dogs in the past or any adopters with small children. He is crate and house trained for the most part. He does get nervous when you leave and sometimes has accidents in his crate. He is dog selective and would do best in a home with no other dogs. Kane is very smart and rings a bell on the door when he has to go outside to potty! He loves to nap on your lap and would make a great work from home buddy. He was abused when he was a little puppy and has an unusual bark. He's been through a lot and needs an adopter that will be patient while he adjusts to his new home. Kane is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, neutered , microchipped, dewormed and on flea/heartworm prevention. Kane’s adoption fee is $200. His family had called a local vets to have him put to sleep for an incident with the cat he had lived with (we don't have any details of the situation). They reached out to someone for help and they ended up taking him so he wouldn’t be euthanized. He is currently at a local boarding facility but needs a forever home. He is housebroken. He is dog friendly (but we haven’t introduced him to dogs under 30 pounds). He loves everyone he meets, loves attention, going on outings to the pet store and the company of other dogs. We are accepting applications for our sweet girl, Lorelai. She was a pull from Memphis Animal Services, on September 21, 2022. When she came to us she weighed 26lbs & was heartworm positive, She is with a foster who was getting her through her first few critical months, but still has her. She is more than ready for her furever love!! She is completely house trained, and is a very well behaved house guest. She loves all people, though she is more comfortable with her doggie friends who are more on the chill side. She has gone through her heartworm treatment, over 6 months ago. She is extremely sweet, despite all of the horrors that she endured before coming into our rescue.

Josie arrived 9/15 after escaping euthanization in South Carolina. We are still getting to know her. If you have questions or would like us to look into something, please ask. Josie is such a sweet girl, we couldn't imagine why someone would dump her to be euthanized. She's friendly, loves kids and playful who will stand up for her friends. The cutest little package of a dog who loves to wear her jammies. Does well in her crate but may whine occasionally. House trained. Josie pulls on the leash, so, she's currently undergoing leash training. We don't think she was taken out much in her previous home. Otherwise, there's literally no complaints we could even give about her! Upon intake (surrendered), Josie had/have some concerns. 1. There is an indent in her head followed by a fresh scar. Based on observation, this was human made. This doesn't stop her from an amazing dog and is just as smart as ever. 2. Josie favors her left leg (slight) from an injury. There's bruising and some indication of being on her side for awhile (crated) . She will recover over time. Jose walks, runs and plays normally. 3. Josie is recovering from a Flea allergy and has some yeast in her paws. She's currently being treated for. Josie is spayed and UTD on vaccines. She's ready for a Foster to Adopt.
