Story
Mama Graycie and her newborn puppies were found seeking shelter in an abandoned shack of a home in rural NC. Luckily, someone spotted mama and contacted the nearby shelter. Urgent calls to rescues went out as mama was extremely thin and not producing enough milk. Our rescue stepped up and quickly moved this precious gal and her babies into our care. With proper nutrition, medical care and a warm, safe place to call home, mama’s condition quickly improved and she was able to produce enough milk to feed her 6 hungry nuggets. Everyone is thriving now and mama has successfully recovered from some mastitis and her spay surgery. She is such a trooper. She never once complained when she had to wear her donut for almost two weeks to keep from licking her mastitis wound. She adores people, other dogs and has been an amazing mama to her puppies. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 40 lbs and is a perfect medium size to snuggle. She is literally always smiling and her tail wags 24/7. Her foster mom says she will make an excellent pet for any family who is ready for a medium energy canine companion.

Story
Haley is a loveable, energetic two year old pup weighing in around 60 pounds who loves snuggling on the couch or playing with other dogs. She is very loyal and protective in her foster home and seems to attach herself more toward the ladies of the home. She is potty trained and usually sleeps with her foster mom at night, but she is crated when mom leaves the house. Haley loves playing and chewing on her toys and running around in the backyard. This sweet, timid soul really aims to please and tries very hard to be a good pup. She attends doggy daycare to continue her socialization and to work out her energy. She gets along with absolutely all dogs! Haley will be a perfect companion with anyone willing to dedicate the time and patience to adjust to her new home. Story
Meet Dodger, a brave and resilient 25-pound dog who is looking for a forever home filled with patience, love, and understanding. Dodger's journey hasn't been an easy one, but with the right person or family, he will flourish into the loyal companion he's meant to be. Dodger's early life was filled with hardship. When Dodger and his sister were found on the side of the road, they were suffering from a prolapsed rectum, which required immediate medical attention. Thankfully, they are both on the mend; his sister has even been adopted! Due to the trauma they endured, they now require special prescription dog food to maintain their health. Sometimes, Dodger needs to wear a diaper to stay comfortable and prevent any accidents. Despite his challenges, Dodger is incredibly sweet and gentle, and he just wants to feel safe and loved in a calm, quiet environment. Dodger would do best in a home where he is the only pet, or with another calm, well-behaved dog that understands the importance of slow introductions. He is not a fan of fast-paced, loud environments, and would thrive in a peaceful, adult-only home where he can have the time he needs to adjust and feel secure. His new family will need to be patient as he builds trust and confidence in his surroundings. If you are an experienced, compassionate dog owner who is willing to take things at Dodger's pace and give him the time and love he deserves, this sweet boy could be your perfect companion. Dodger may need some extra care, but his loyalty and love will be well worth the effort. He has the potential to form a special bond with calm, dog-savvy adults who understand his need for space and gradual introductions. Are you ready to give Dodger the second chance he deserves? If so, he can't wait to meet you and start his new chapter! --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
Meet your new bestie, Bumper. He is a mixed breed puppy from the Race car litter. At approximately 7- 8 weeks, he weighs about 8 lbs and is so sweet. Here is a little history: Mama Go, Go Graycie and her newborn puppies were found struggling, but alive in an abandoned home in rural NC. The race to rescue this precious family began immediately. Luckily, some kind folks brought mama and the pups to the local shelter where they were fed and kept warm and dry. We were contacted by this shelter and luckily, we had an experienced puppy foster available to help. All the puppies including Bumper have completely thrived in foster care. Their mama began to gain weight immediately and was able to nurse them normally through their 4th week. Bumper took to eating on his own perfectly and has met all his normal puppy milestones. He loves to play with his littermates and then crashes for a nice puppy nap. He has learned to potty on pee pads and is just beginning outside potty training. He is so precious and has been socialized around people both big and small. He will make a loving family pet and is ready to cuddle with you and your kiddos. --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
Hi this is Gypsy!! She has been a cherished member of our family, and it's heartbreaking for me to have to make this decision. However, I firmly believe that finding a new home where she can receive the love, attention, and care she deserves is the best course of action. Gypsy has a very playful spirit that never seems to fade, always up for a game of fetch, running around, playing tug of war, chasing after a ball. Her antics and silly behavior can make you laugh and brighten your day. She will shower you with kisses, wag her tail enthusiastically when you come home, and always want to be by your side. She is quick to offer comfort and provide emotional support when you're feeling down. She craves physical affection and enjoys cuddling up with you on the couch or curling up at your feet. She will seek out opportunities for snuggles and belly rubs. Her affectionate nature makes her a true companion and brings warmth to your home.
