Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Captain Tail Blur!! Squiggy is a comical, ridiculous little dog who came to us after a dog fight bust. He's around 4 years of age and has been hanging out as a sort of sanctuary dog for a few years, but he's grown so much in that time that he'd do just fine in a home with people of his own. Squiggs is a little guy, maybe 40lbs, with goofy energy and the sweetest demeanor. He absolutely loves people and loves fun, and he's gotten so very close to making dog friends, but he's just too afraid of being attacked again and can't quite get there. It's such a shame what people call a sport, and this little guy had to pay the price of evil peoples' entertainment, he so deserved better.  So what's life with a former fighting dog like? Well, to be fair, he wasn't so much of a fighting dog as a target of other dogs. He's s little guy, and he's a happy guy, he visits with other dogs through barriers and play bows, he looks for all the world like a guy who is dying to play with other dogs, you'd never know by watching him what he's been through. Generally he's just a dog, he has no vices, he's super food motivated and loves to train. He'd absolutely adore finding a human who would trick train him and help him learn to binge watch Netflix. There's actually no management needed within the home, just crate and rotate if family comes with visiting dogs, he's totally fine with that life.  These guys are always hard to find a home for, not because they're anything other than a dog, but because media has scared people into thinking they're monsters. If you met Squiggy and someone called him a monster, you'd totally crack up, he's so not scary at all. Even with the cropped ears and black coat, he's just such a little goofball. Squiggy would love a fenced yard and a person to call his own. He'll follow you around the house and help you with all the things, then he'll flop down on his bed and chew his bones or hop up onto the sofa for a solid cuddle. He's a good little dog who deserves a human of his own, foster or adopter, either is fine. Ready to make a difference in the life of a dog who had a truly horrific start? Squiggy can't wait to hear from you! Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application today. Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. September 11, 2024, 5:17 pm

Story
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Absolute sugar, Allen would be a great first dog.Allen is a delightful leggy boi with a super sunny disposition and smile that will brighten any day. He's just about 6 months old (as of mid-July), 30lbs and another "anyone's guess" as far as breeds go. His temperament is the friend-to-all of hunting breeds, he's super devoted and makes excellent eye contact like a herding breed, and he's got those flippy ears that could have come from a pittie, or something else entirely. Whatever his breeds are, he's 100% happy and an absolute joy to live with. Allen is a go anywhere, do anything kinda guy. He loves dogs and kids for sure, he's met cats and seemed to know they were sharp, and he came across a duck who had not gone to the pen when she was asked to, he did her no harm. Allen would love to find a family who likes to take their dog along for beach trips and brewery nights. He loves making friends and while he's not seen much of the world yet, he's looking forward to making memories with his new human(s).  He said to ask if you have a dog. He's kinda hoping you do, but if you don't that'll be fine too. But maybe you have a friend with a dog, he'd like that. Does this humble little sweetheart look like the guy for you? Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application, he's looking forward to meeting you...and hopefully your dog (he made me put that last bit in).Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. September 11, 2024, 5:17 pm
