Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Captain Tail Blur!! Squiggy is a comical, ridiculous little dog who came to us after a dog fight bust. He's around 4 years of age and has been hanging out as a sort of sanctuary dog for a few years, but he's grown so much in that time that he'd do just fine in a home with people of his own. Squiggs is a little guy, maybe 40lbs, with goofy energy and the sweetest demeanor. He absolutely loves people and loves fun, and he's gotten so very close to making dog friends, but he's just too afraid of being attacked again and can't quite get there. It's such a shame what people call a sport, and this little guy had to pay the price of evil peoples' entertainment, he so deserved better.  So what's life with a former fighting dog like? Well, to be fair, he wasn't so much of a fighting dog as a target of other dogs. He's s little guy, and he's a happy guy, he visits with other dogs through barriers and play bows, he looks for all the world like a guy who is dying to play with other dogs, you'd never know by watching him what he's been through. Generally he's just a dog, he has no vices, he's super food motivated and loves to train. He'd absolutely adore finding a human who would trick train him and help him learn to binge watch Netflix. There's actually no management needed within the home, just crate and rotate if family comes with visiting dogs, he's totally fine with that life.  These guys are always hard to find a home for, not because they're anything other than a dog, but because media has scared people into thinking they're monsters. If you met Squiggy and someone called him a monster, you'd totally crack up, he's so not scary at all. Even with the cropped ears and black coat, he's just such a little goofball. Squiggy would love a fenced yard and a person to call his own. He'll follow you around the house and help you with all the things, then he'll flop down on his bed and chew his bones or hop up onto the sofa for a solid cuddle. He's a good little dog who deserves a human of his own, foster or adopter, either is fine. Ready to make a difference in the life of a dog who had a truly horrific start? Squiggy can't wait to hear from you! Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application today. Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. April 20, 2024, 4:43 pm

To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Our boy Stanley is one happy dude, but do you think he'd smile for a photo? Lawdy, doggo, show the peoples your bestest buddy dog grin! No? Ok, they'll just have to take our word for it. Stanley is 1.5-2 years old, 40ish lbs and just the neatest little guy. His head seems way too big for his body at times, he's great with dog friends, he loves to learn and will stare at you waiting for the next lesson to begin and he can chase a squirrel up a tree with the best of them. Stanley loves the kiddos, but is not for cats or small cage animals. He's housebroken, crate trained, mostly quiet and pretty non-destructive. He does love a good sofa relaxation session as much as he loves a rowdy game of fetch. He's just an all around good dog looking for an all around good family to show him what happily ever after looks like. Does this look like the dog you've been hoping to find? Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application, we can't wait for you all to meet each other! Our adoption fee is $300. To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. You guys, look at this yummy baby we found in the shelter! Oslo and his equally delicious brother found themselves in a local kill shelter at 10-12 weeks old. No doubt leftover babies from yet another irresponsible litter, that’s a far too common tale these days. Thankfully we had an open foster for each of them, now we just need to find their happily ever afters. Both boys are amazingly easy going puppies. They take life in stride and are happy to go along for the ride. They’re right around 12 weeks old as of mid-April, and they’re learning all sorts of great things like crate training, leash walking, and general good baby manners. They’re little super stars just waiting for their people to come along. Are you looking to raise your next BFF family dog? These boys will fit just about anywhere, visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application today.  Our adoption fee is $300. Story
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Handsome Romeo found himself in an area shelter wondering where his people had gotten to, he kept waiting and waiting, they could not be bothered to go reclaim him. That's ok, they clearly didn't deserve this very good boy anyway, and we're so happy to have gotten to spend time with him! Romeo's a 50-55lb dorky guy who loves to play play play. Best guess is that he'll be right around 1 year of age in mid-May. He's a super cool character who has an easy going personality around the house, but is the first one to put his nose into things once the slightest hint of fun is in the air. He can be a bit of a pesky teenager at times, but what almost year old blockyhead isn't. Romeo's great with the crate (he had nothing to do with that crate pad exploding!), he's got stellar leash manners, especially for a young dog, he's housebroken and quiet, and he said not to tell you that he sometimes shoplifts off of the coffee table when nobody's looking. We promised we would not say a word, shh! Counter surfing? It's not unheard of, but in his defense he does not put all 4 feet up there. Yeah, ok, there's some dorky boy dog shenanigans from time to time, but look how handsome! (Frat boy, I swear) This goofy youngster gets along really well with other dogs, he's even cool with being told off by bossy elders when they've had enough of his peskiness. Cats? No idea, but he will chase a squirrel up a tree in a skinny minute, so you'd probably have your work cut out for you. He thinks kids are great fun. Little kids think he's a bit too enthusiastic, but dog savvy kids would have an absolute blast in the yard wearing this guy out...and he'd doing a great job of wearing them out too! He's a super fun guy who will do well with adopters who have some dog savvy and appreciate a bit of young dog shenanigans. He promises to do his best to stay handsome and flash his big, clueless smile at you at every opportunity.  Clearly we think he's downright nifty, are you thinking same? Pop on over to southofthebully.com and fill out an application to meet your next partner in crime, he said he'd like to see what this Brewery stuff is all about!  Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. April 20, 2024, 4:43 pm

Story
Landry is one of those sadly and insane stories of a dog spending month after month at a small rural shelter and constantly facing the chance of being the next one euthanized.  The shelter workers were determined to not let that happen.  They fought and they finally won the threat of him never leaving when they found a foster lady to take Landry and keep him safe out of the shelter and helping him search for a home.  This boy was so upset at the shelter because it is not a good environment to live when you just want to play and run and of course there is no room to do that in a small kennel!  The shelter people KNEW that Landry was a dog they needed to help save.  Yes he is a Pitbull mix…but his heart is that of a Golden Retriever temperament. Landry has proven himself to be a great boy and just as friendly and loving with people as a Golden Retriever would be.  He is exceptional with kitties and EXCELLENT with other dogs! This boy just wants to have fun and help everyone around him to enjoy life together with him.  Landry is already neutered, HW-, has 4 rounds of vaccines currently and rabies all done!! He’s 100% ready for his forever home! He does great sleeping in a crate at night and loves snuggle and belly rub time!! Landry is 40ish pounds, and is truly NOT a big dog at all. He’s a short stocky boy that is estimated to be around 8 months. If you have a heart to save and love a Pittie mix then Landry will NOT disappoint.  Let’s get this boy into a forever home fast so he can bond with his family and have the best life possible!!   Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue about giving Landry a new home. Story
This not so little nugget is Yosemite Sam. Yosemite was adopted last season from Mama Lola's Looney Tunes litter.  Yosemite's about 10 months old now and is looking for a new forever family. Here's the basics: *We've had him in to our vet for a complete checkup.  *He's fully vetted, neutered and up to date on all vaccines.  *Our trainer has been out to visit and was impressed with the level of training that he's had already. Yosemite Sam is house trained, crate trained, and a dream on leash. He's a super smart very good boy who is attentive to his person and enjoys learning new things. He's been living in his current home since adoption and has done very well with general house & people manners. Yosemite's about 65ish pounds and has ears for DAYS! Though still technically a puppy, he's the best of both worlds. He's young, healthy, and loves to play, but he's done with the potty training, crate training, and most importantly - the teething. He lives with another dog and little human kiddos, and he would probably be happy just about anywhere. We think his dream home would include walks & a yard to play in, but the rest is negotiable! Yosemite Sam is a super duper good boy and he needs a family that will love him for the rest of his life.  To learn more or to submit an adoption application please visit our website https://www.pitsandgigglesrescue.org/adopt  ##1723063##

Story
Mama Molasses aka "Mama Mo" is a lovely little lady who is looking for a family of her very own. Mo came to our rescue VERY pregnant. She had been picked up as a stray, suffering from a gunshot wound in the leg. Despite her rough start, Mama Mo LOOOOVES everyone she meets. And everyone who meets her - loooooves her right back! Her sweet, silly personality and gentle demeanor will win you over in a heartbeat! Mama Mo was a wonderfully attentive mother to her pups, and now that they're all adopted - she's ready for her own FUREVER! Mo is absolutely stunning, around 2 years old, and weighs in just under 50lbs. She is perfectly potty trained, great in the crate, and gets along well with other doggos. Mama Mo would fit in just about anywhere! So if you're in the market for a super sweet velcro pitty that loves snuggles, apply today! ##2003672##

Story
We have a special boy to introduce to the families and couples out there wanting a truly special older pup that is totally trained and waiting to love you to pieces. True Blue Toby is a 10 month old Boxer mix puppy that was found as a stray and not in the best shape.  In fact he looked terrible and we felt so bad for this boy to have suffered for so many months.  Once he came to our care we got to work on clearing up hair loss and getting him healthy from those pesky intestinal worms and putting good weight on him.  Gosh Toby is the best boy with a wonderful personality that embraces everyone with love and the anticipation to become steadfast friends.  Shy at first, this boy has blossomed and is Mr. Outgoing in every way.  He just wants to hang out with his humans and love them with full gratitude for making him such a healthy boy.  Housebroken, crate trained and wonderful with other dogs and cats, he is the truly total package if you are looking for a medium sized dog.  He is going to be a 50 pound adult and what a handsome Boxer mix boy he is turning in to.   Email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :   ccrnewengland@gmail.com   We know will be glad you considered this boy as your very own.
