To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Strawberry Shortcake, aka Koko, is an 8 year old girlie who never met a snack she didn't love. She came to us a bit thicc, but she's slimming down just in time for bikini season. Unlike so many homeless dogs, The Cake had a great life, she was well loved and was living large (lol) and then her owner passed away leaving her without a human to call her own. Lucky for her, we do love a chonky blockhead and we had a foster open, now to find her another human to call her own.  Shortcake is a bouncy thing, you'd really never guess her age. She's housebroken and crate trained, brought her basic household and leash walking manners with her. She gets along with other dogs, she's not a fan of cats, and she likes kids, but may scare the small ones with happy slobber kisses and extra strong wiggles. Slobber mouthy kisses are her love language, we're guessing that her old person played mouthy hand games with her, so be someone who loves an interactive dog.  Does this goofy girl look like someone you'd like to spend your days with? Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application, we can't wait to see who gets to be her new forever human. Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. April 26, 2025, 12:42 am

To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. This absolute beefcake is Spock, isn't he delicious? Spock is around 4 years old according to his shelter records, though his foster thinks he's a bit younger. He's around 50lbs of bouncy, happy, handsome pittie boy who is crate trained, housebroken, walks well on a leash, generally non-destructive, and has pretty decent house manners, but will counter surf if he can get away with it. He gets along with other dogs, thinks kids are neat fun, plays as long as you'd like to go and then curls up on the sofa for a good snuggle sesh when it's time to wind down. Spock is looking to adopt a human to call his own, he loves nothing more than being with his person. He'd like someone who goes places and does things, he thinks having another dog to play with would be great, and he'd like it if his person took him on lots of adventures like hiking, breweries and whatever else you have in mind. He's a good one for taking places and showing off just how lovely blocky headed dogs are as best friends. Would you like to be adopted by this very good dog? Swing by southofthebully.com and fill out an application, we'd love for him to meet you.Our adoption fee is $300. To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Hartley is made of silliness and fun and practical jokes and big smarts and pretty much all of the best things an adventure dog can be made of. Hartley is somewhere around a year or so old, she wakes up with a fat grin on her face and she throws rays of sunshine to everyone she meets all day long. What a cool dog, if you like an intuitive, brilliant, biddable, active BFF type of dog who likes to do things, you've got to meet this kid. Hartley is a leggy 35-40lbs, she's got a kind heart and makes friends with everyone she meets. She's the party girl at camp, she makes friends fast and the games are wide open fun if she's calling the shots. In the house she takes a minute to settle, then she'll throw herself down and hang out until the fun begins again. She had not see much of the world when she arrived so her foster has taken her on many field trips and she's an enthusiastic participant in the Dog About Town adventures. She's loved the kids she's met and she's been kind to cats during testing, but does not live with either so she may need to learn that parkour is for outside. Does this goofy creature sound like your kind of dog? Head on over to southofthebully.com and put in an application, we can't wait to see who her new person will be!  Our adoption fee is $300. Story
Meet Bimbi – Your Loyal, Lovable Companion in the Making   Bimbi is a stunning, 3-year-old spayed beauty weighing in at around 40 pounds. With her regal looks and soulful eyes, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her heart that really makes her shine.   Bimbi has known what it means to be let down, having spent much of her life confined to a crate. Despite this, she got along well with the small dogs in her previous home and remained the friendly, affectionate girl she was born to be. Sadly, when her family fell on hard times, Bimbi was surrendered, and now she’s waiting for her true forever home.   She absolutely loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like sunshine. She adores hugs, belly rubs, kisses, and gentle brushing with a soft brush—she’ll even close her eyes in bliss. Her favorite spot? Anywhere you are.   While Bimbi might not know a ton of commands just yet, she’s eager to learn and food-motivated (she mastered “sit” in record time with a few treats!). She enjoys playing with toys and balls—fetch is a favorite, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Treat-based games are another great way to bond with her and keep her busy.   She’s a big fan of cozy dog beds and fluffy blankets, though when bored, she may chew on them a bit—so she’ll thrive with love, structure, and plenty of companionship. Her happiest moments? Going for car rides with her people. It’s been a while since she’s gotten to feel the wind in her fur, and she misses it deeply.  Bimbi is ready to trade her kennel days for couch cuddles, backyard exploring, movie nights, and being your loyal shadow. She doesn’t think cats make good roommates, so a cat-free home is a must.   If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, who’s ready to learn, ready to play, and even more ready to belong—Bimbi is your girl. Come meet her. She’s been waiting for you.   Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 26, 2025, 11:59 pm

Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Are you ready to give this playful boy a chance at a new beginning? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2025, 9:41 pm

Story
Breed: Boxer / American Bulldog? maybe? Size: Large; currently 70+ lbs Estimated Birthday: 3/2/2020 House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes, and kennels on command! Kid-Friendly: Needs a home with kids over 12 years --============================== Bella Vida is looking for her perfect family! She is a 3 or 4 year old Bulldog mix weighing about 85-90 lbs. This silly girl ate a sock and her previous owner could not afford the surgery. C2CND stepped in and rescued her. She’s a high energy dog who would do best with a fence and a privacy fence would be even better. She will bark when she needs to go outside. Bella is crate and potty trained. She is a very affectionate dog once she warms up to you and really needs a patient, assertive owner who will work with her. She also needs an active family who exercises her frequently. Her foster notices that Bella’s behavior is heavily influenced by the amount of exercise/activity she receives and her anxiety levels. Bella would fetch a ball for hours if you let her. She does go on walks but sometimes gets distracted. She loves to snuggle and be near her human. She also likes to chew on bones (Benebones seems to be her favorite). Her foster says Bella is a dominant personality who is dog selective and dog aggressive. Bella is still working on her leash skills, while she does well on the leash most of the time, she can be easily distracted. Slow introductions are best. Bella would fit best with a family with teenagers or no young kids and as the only dog. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Bella Vida is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!
