Story
Ebony has grown so much in foster. His Mom says he loves to go on car rides. He is working on crate training and doing well with that. He is very dog friendly, inside cat friendly, and like some dogs, wants to chase outside cats who run from him. Ebony loves being outside and playing with tennis balls, he does not chew on anything, but will totally destroy a stuffie. He loves to be held like he is a tiny little pup in his mom's lap. He truly sounds like such a joy!! Thank you to his Foster Mom for fostering him and getting him ready for his forever home! Ebony is available for adoption, please call the shelter or send an email to set up a meet and greet 423.442.1015 animal.shelter@monroetn.com Dog and Puppy adoption fees are determined by age: Puppies under 1 yr ($125), Dogs 1-6 yrs ($100), Senior Dogs > 7 yrs ($50). Patches, our oldest resident, came to us when her owner fell on hard times. This sweet girl has all the love to give! She's approx 8-9 years old and deaf, spayed and heartworm negative. She would do best in a home without other dogs or cats. She likes short walks and nap time. Patches is in desperate need of a foster or adopter to be able to leave the shelter. She is currently at Anderson County Animal Shelter in Clinton, TN. The address is 1480 Blockhouse Valley Road Clinton, TN 37716. Phone number is 865-264-6315.

Story
Hi, my name is Moses! I am 1-2 years old, 50 pounds and a terrier mix! Who knows what I really am- I was pulled from a high risk shelter. I am good with other dogs, not tested with cats and would be fine with older children. I tend to be bouncy and do have some energy so a home that had a fenced in backyard or possibly someone that jogs/walks would be best for me! I love to go for walks and car rides! I am crate and house trained. I am heartworm negative, neutered and vaccinated! Email slumdogrescuecrew@gmail.com to meet me!

Story
The coolest dude! Forrest is needing, looking for his forever home! He has been in the shelter environment for over a year! That’s half of his life! Forest needs a very special home, one that doesn’t come around often but can sometimes be found! He needs to be someone’s only pet, an only child. He is weary of children but loves adults. He is easy to walk and potties great on leash each time. He will cuddle up in the bed or on the couch with you. He’s a quiet dog- doesn’t bark unless necessary (someone’s at the door). He crates easily and could be crated for a few hours at a time but definitely not a boy that would thrive with longer crate times. He will sleep in his dog bed all night long. He will EAT blankets, toys, anything if he is bored. So that is why mental stimulation is important for this boy!! Someone that can keep tabs on him, to keep him in line and to give him all the love. He has been in a shelter environment for more of his life. He doesn’t know any different. But in a home, he relaxes and will sleep for hours in comfort. To see his anxiety go from a 100 (boarding kennel area) to a 0 when comfortable in a home is amazing. The trouble is, we need to find HIS home. This boy is a dream. I know his person is out there. He’s fostered in Andersonville, TN. I will personally drive him wherever he may need to go IF it is the perfect home. He deserves it. He’s been in shelter/rescue environment for most of his life. He’s a young boy, maybe 2? He’s sweet as can be and easy to please. He’s right at 50-60 pounds. He jumps right in the car, loves to ride and is completely house trained!! Please share, Forrest!! Story
We are looking for fosters or foster-to-adopt for one or both of these big beautiful boys...Blue and Maxx. They came from a difficult situation and are both high heartworm positive. Their owners are currently homeless and do not have a safe place to keep them. They are both very sweet boys who deserve a second chance to live the life they deserve. All medical costs will be covered by AC ARF, as well as for neutering both once they are cleared for surgery. Many thanks to our partnership with Humane Society, Tennessee Valley and to Norris Animal Hospital, where they are currently being boarded until we find foster homes for them to continue their healing journey. They wouldn’t be alive today if not for them. So besides being homeless, these special needs dogs need to live in a home environment for their heart worm treatment, which will take 6 months. Fortunately, no injections are required in their treatment protocol, so all can be done painlessly at home. Most dogs enjoy eating their chewy heartworm treatment/preventative as the medication is incorporated into a very tasty treat. And this dynamic duo will each be bolting down two of these treats every month! That’s where they need your help. They each need to be living in a home. They can be separated and go to different homes, so they do not need to be fostered/adopted together. All expenses will be covered, and any supplies needed will be provided. They are both adult dogs. 6 year old Blue (first picture) as sweet as cotton candy and with plenty of energy, weighs 60 pounds, and is a tan/white Bulldog/pit terrier mix. 4 year old Maxx is large and weighs 75-80 pounds, so there is plenty to love in this big brown boxer/shepherd mix. They are sweet love bugs and good with children. They just want to be loved. Don’t we all deserve that? If you’d like more information about these dogs, or partner with us as a foster to ensure these dogs have a healthy future, please message Anderson County Animal Rescue Foundation or call Katrina at 865-414-2491.
